Underground cave.
A gigantic obelisk stands in the center, the monument is dozens of meters high, entirely pitch-black, with intricate and dense profound patterns carved on the surface. These patterns subtly flow with golden light in the darkness, as if they possess life, breathing and pulsating slowly.
A grand array surrounds the monument, with runes extending from the base of the obelisk in all directions, covering hundreds of feet of ground. Each rune emits a faint golden light, like veins of the earth, transmitting some ancient and vast power into the monument.
Energy converges from all directions, passing through the array's runes, ultimately pouring into the obelisk, causing its dark surface to glow with an amber-colored halo.
Not far from the grand array, four figures stand calmly, looking up at the towering obelisk.
