Hill gently brushed away the dust on the surface and cautiously unfolded the parchment; line after line of script rose from the murky depths like secrets that had slept for a thousand years.
He furrowed his brows and focused, using his Soul's senses to carefully discern the true meaning behind each symbol:
"...Sotos's remains… must be activated with Chaos Divinity… the flesh and blood of a godhood candidate must serve as the key… and a godhood candidate is itself designated as Purification Program Candidate #27..."
This information struck Hill's heart like thunder, sending a chill coursing through his whole body.
He abruptly halted his movements, his breathing turning faintly rapid for a moment.
The broken phrases before his eyes seemed to unveil a shocking and extremely dangerous truth.
Those beings in the Cosmos regarded as 'ascending to godhood' are in fact nothing more than tools or nodes within a far greater purification scheme.
