Hilia was still hesitating when Dylan's magic took effect.
On the trembling earth, a mass of earth spikes began to rise, spreading toward Hilia and the crowd.
"Taste my Combo Skill—Earthquake Shock and Linked Earth Spikes!"
There was no time to think. Hilia released control of her own body, letting Rose take over.
But before Rose could act, the ground in front of the spikes suddenly turned green. Some peculiar little grasses sprang up, digging their roots deep into the earth, suppressing the tremors.
Out from the crowd stepped a fisherman holding a fishing rod.
"Mr. Jack?"
Someone exclaimed in surprise.
It was Jack, holding a folded fishing rod as either a magic staff or a sword, blocking in front of everyone. He shouted, "You all get out of here, this guy is really strong! If a fight breaks out, I won't be able to protect you."
