Vera stared at the locked door before her, her anger rising higher and higher.
She had lost all patience for dismantling things slowly.
So she chose—

The Magic Puppet struck again, its fist crackling with dense waves of Magic Power, smashing hard against the sturdy door.
The door shimmered with complex rune patterns, dissolving every one of the puppet's blows.
As the head of the whole stronghold, Vera knew exactly how solid this hidden array was.
If the array's health was set at 10,000 points, every attack she made barely did a couple. If a Tier Five Mage hit it, maybe a dozen; Tier Six, a few hundred.
It could be broken, sure—even a normal person with a hammer could eventually break it down after a few years of pounding.
It just wasn't going to be fast.
She grew increasingly agitated.
"Goddammit, why did you make the internal array so damn tough!"
