Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Mysterious Crystal

"There are too many temptations in the secular world, no wonder Master didn't let me leave the mountain!"

After watching He Mei leave, Qin Feng couldn't help but shake his head and sigh, shifting his gaze back from her.

Once he sat down in the living room, he meditated through the entire night.

The next day, before dawn.

Lin Nan emerged from her room, wearing denim shorts paired with a white T-shirt, looking very youthful and radiant.

She glanced at Qin Feng, smiled, spun around, and asked, "How is it, do I look like a university student?"

"Not bad!"

Qin Feng nodded and smiled, finding himself increasingly drawn to Lin Nan.

At this moment, Lin Xia opened the door and stepped out.

The moment she saw Lin Nan, her eyes widened in surprise, "Oh my God, is that really my sister? You're so beautiful!"

Lin Nan chuckled and playfully tapped her head, instructing, "Stop flattering, go change your clothes quickly. As long as I'm here, you won't miss a single class!"

"Oh no, really?"

Lin Xia frowned, pouting, "Sis, I'm not feeling well lately. The doctor advised me to get more sleep. If you want to go to school, take Brother Qin with you, he can accompany you anytime!"

Lin Nan pointed to the bedroom and shook her head, "No way, go change your clothes right now. Have you ever seen a sick person running around in a T-shirt?"

"You nasty hag!"

Lin Xia wrinkled her nose at her and obediently turned back to the bedroom to change.

Once she came out, Qin Hao was also dressed.

The three of them went downstairs together, giggling and heading toward the school.

They were just over a hundred meters away from the back door of West Capital University, making it very convenient to attend school.

There seemed to be an issue in the Art Department at West Capital University, so they arranged for Lin Nan to have an art student ID.

Lin Nan pulled some strings to get Qin Feng a student ID as well.

However, for Lin Xia's safety, she arranged for Qin Feng to be in the Archaeology Department, the same major as Lin Xia.

Since the three of them had different majors, they split into two groups after entering the school.

The main reason was the high rate of turning heads. With two beauties walking together, they attracted attention wherever they went on campus.

Qin Feng endured the envious, jealous, and hateful gazes of the crowd, feeling unjustified since he hadn't done anything!

The Archaeology Department had no classes in the morning, so Lin Xia took Qin Feng directly to the library to self-study.

West Capital University has a long history, and the library holds five million books, filling five entire floors.

What Qin Feng lacked most now was knowledge, and as soon as he entered, he began flipping through books of all genres.

Typically, he skimmed ten pages at a time, never forgetting what he read, as if the information continuously flowed into his Divine Sea.

This is the benefit of cultivation, which, in scientific terms, can fully develop a person's brain.

However, Lin Xia didn't crave knowledge as much as he did. She randomly picked a novel, and with the sunlight streaming through the window, she fell asleep on the table.

After Qin Feng went through over a hundred books, he turned to glance at Lin Xia. Unexpectedly, he saw a sneaky fellow across from her, holding a phone under the table, taking pictures of her.

Lin Xia was wearing a pink dress, her fair thighs softly crossed. From the opposite side, bending slightly might reveal everything.

However, with the library full of people, no one had the guts. So, the shameless student only dared to take pictures, not being overtly bold.

Qin Feng shook his head at the student, and with a powerful gaze, the phone erupted in flames.

The student was shocked, jumping up in a panic, "Fire, fire, it's on fire!"

Awakened by the shout in her sleep, Lin Xia jumped up in fright and quickly moved to the side.

The library administrator promptly grabbed a fire extinguisher to spray the phone, then frustratingly called the lewd student out for a talk.

In the library, not a spark is allowed. Such a big fire nearly scared the librarian to death.

Lin Xia looked for a while, then turned back to find Qin Feng, leaning over his shoulder, whispering, "Brother Qin, was that your doing?"

Qin Feng laughed, "If you'd mind your sleeping posture, I wouldn't have taken such action!"

Lin Xia blushed, smiling and biting her lip, "If someone peeked at me, would you be jealous?"

Qin Feng laughed, patting her on the head with a bitter smile, "Jealous of your big-headed ghost, go read your book. If your sister sees, she'll scold you!"

Lin Xia pouted, giggling, "Humph, I'm not afraid of her. Brother Qin, teach me Daoist Skill! If anyone dares to peek at me again, I'll burn their eyes!"

Qin Feng smirked, tapping her forehead, "Daoist Skills are for self-cultivation and character-building, not for creating trouble. But you can learn if you want, so I won't have to worry as much about you!"

Lin Xia, holding Qin Feng's arm, was so excited she nearly shouted, but she restrained her excitement, "Thank you, Brother Qin, I will not let you down."

Qin Feng nodded with a smile, extending his spiritual power to scan Lin Xia's Divine Sea, first assessing her talent.

In the Daoist Sect, one's talent directly determines their future cultivation.

If the talent isn't high, no amount of effort will make a difference. The Cultivation Realm is harsh and offers no fairness.

A person's talent is determined by their Divine Sea; the broader it is, the higher the talent.

Of course, the Divine Sea can be expanded and developed further in the later stages.

Entering Lin Xia's Divine Sea with his spiritual power, Qin Feng was startled to find that it had no visible boundary, as if at its center floated a crystal-like entity, emitting radiant light from mid-air.

Qin Feng steadied his mind, focusing on the entity. Inside, he saw a girl dressed in an Immortal Skirt.

The girl looked exactly like Lin Xia, but more mature, with a hint of enchantment at the corners of her eyes.

Seeing Qin Feng silent for a while, Lin Xia raised an eyebrow and asked, "Brother Qin, what are you spacing out about?"

Withdrawing his spiritual power, Qin Feng didn't know how to explain to her, so he simply shook his head, "Nothing, just checked your talent."

Lin Xia smiled, "And what did you find? Is my talent high?"

Qin Feng nodded with a smile, his mind still pondering the mysterious entity. Whatever it was inside remained a mystery to him for now.

There is a Dharma Sect in the Cultivation Realm for reincarnated cultivation. When cultivators fail in Crossing the Tribulation or lose their physical form for other reasons, their Nascent Soul searches for a new vessel to cultivate.

This vessel can be an adult or an infant.

However, utilizing an adult has much less effectiveness compared to an infant because adults already have their own consciousness, and their Divine Sea is fixed, lacking potential for significant development. An infant, on the other hand, is different; if a Nascent Soul resides in an infant's Divine Sea, it gradually integrates with the child as they grow.

Infants, untouched by experiences, have rapidly developing Divine Seas with strong plasticity.

So generally, when cultivators reincarnate to cultivate anew, they opt for an infant's Divine Sea.

For now, it seems Lin Xia's past life might have been a cultivator, and with an unimaginable cultivation level, managed to seal themselves in the Divine Sea.
