Chapter 31 - Chapter 6: Unable to be Strained

I released my hot breath as the cool air passed over my shoulders.

I had planned a long run to strain my legs, but I had underestimated the Tengrion physique.

Although I ran what was probably a 5-hour high-tempo marathon, I felt only my breath warming up, but even this was actually a result of the excitement I felt for the Tengrion physique.

It was definitely impossible for me to get tired from normal tasks. Even if I forced myself, the probability of me getting tired was negligible.

Humans needed to push their physiques to improve themselves, and my limit of strain was probably several hundred times higher than even a human who had developed themselves in the best way.

No option came to my mind. I couldn't strain myself without using my energy. And if I used it, I would clearly be targeted.

I didn't want to deal with the Church and secret organizations... I let out a deep sigh, we had a list too long to count in our hands...

'Oh, they won't notice me... At least for now.' I hoped. I couldn't be noticed before getting stronger.

After browsing the system for a few more minutes, I checked the time.

12.42

According to my mother, I need to be home before 9.

According to my calculations, I have 8 hours and 18 minutes... I guess I can at least be out of sight and practice for a few hours.

I started tapping my foot rhythmically on the ground. My mind started to clear; thoughts were filling my mind and passing before my eyes rapidly. Finally, I chose to go to the countryside.

I let out a deep breath and started walking; meanwhile, I turned on my phone. I found my mother in the contacts... meaning Page's mother.

"Hi mom, how are you?"

"I'm fine sweetie, how are you?"

My mother's affectionate voice was making my ears perk up through the phone.

"I'm still full of energy. If you let me, I'd run for 5 more hours."

I answered speaking in a slightly humorous tone.

"Hahaha, young people are always very energetic anyway."

My mother spoke with her voice that relaxed me. One was involuntarily affected by this voice.

"Mom... is there a place you know to practice a few techniques?"

There was distinct anxiety in my voice.

"Of course there is. Come home, let's go together. Practicing a bit would be good for me too."

There was slight encouragement in my mother's voice.

"Okay but mom, are there cameras in the training ground?"

No matter how excited I was to go with my mother, my first priority was clear.

"There are no cameras other than in the lobby and corridors. The training grounds are cleared of cameras, but there are rooms with cameras too."

My mother spoke in a calm tone.

"Why did you ask?"

"Nothing mom, I just wondered."

I said with a slight panic in my voice and continued.

"Anyway, I'm coming home. We'll leave together."

Saying that, I quickly hung up the phone.

I increased my walking speed. Since I had been wandering around the parks close to home all day, I was quite close to the house.

Meanwhile, Lyra, who had taken 2 weeks off using her daughter's broken arm as an excuse, was busy putting hers and her daughter's training clothes into sports bags while waiting for her daughter at home.

When the doorbell rang, Lyra wore a slight smile and opened the door.

Before her stood a young girl, beautiful like herself; even more beautiful, with eyes blue as the ocean and cold black hair.

Lyra scanned the girl slightly and her eyebrows rose slightly.

"Are you sure you didn't take a shower on your way here?"

"No mom, I didn't take a shower on my way here."

There was a slight smirk on Page's face.

"Suit yourself... Anyway, we can leave if you want, or you can rest unnecessarily a bit."

Lyra spoke shrugging her shoulders as a result of her daughter's reaction.

"It doesn't make a difference to me, mom."

Page left the decision to her mother.

"Then we are leaving now. I was stressed enough from company work, it will definitely be relaxing."

Lyra spoke with slight excitement while handing Page her sports bag. She was definitely excited herself, but she needed to maintain her composure...
