Chapter 54 - Chapter 54 Trash bin

"Quiet, children, quiet!" Professor McGonagall pointed her wand to her throat and used the voice amplifier charm.

"Prefects of each House, please escort the first-year students back to their respective Houses. The class schedule will be posted on the bulletin board in the common room tomorrow."

"As for you, Severus," Professor McGonagall gestured to Agarth and Warrington, looking at her silent colleagues.

Professor Snape averted his gaze from the dining table, picked up a knife, nodded slightly, and said, "Minerva, leave it to me."

He won't let Warrington off easily for making Slytherin look bad today, and neither will Agarth.

Despite how much he resembled an old bee.

"Enough, Mr. Warrington. Stop your unsightly sobbing and behave yourself. Follow Madam Pomfrey to Hospital Wing to get your mouth cleaned up."

A simple, unassuming sentence immediately silenced Warrington's sobs, he simply glared at Agarth with bloodshot eyes.

"Then, Mr. Lindgel." Professor Snape stood in front of Agarth, his tall figure completely blocking Agarth's view in Dumbledore's direction, looking down at Agarth's feigned innocent face.

'Damn it, I want to punch that face every time I see it.'

"Please wipe your hands and mouth clean and follow me."

After saying that, he turned around abruptly, waved his sleeves, and strode towards the Head of Slytherin office.

Agarth licked his greasy lips, and only after he had swallowed all the sweet and sour sauce did he look regretfully at the plates on the long table.

He's not full yet.

Grindelwald, who was standing nearby, took a handkerchief from his pocket and threw it over Agarth's face, saying, "Wipe it clean."

Agarth raised his hand, gave the middle finger, and then nodded at Grindelwald, indicating that they would talk later.

'This is the tacit understanding that Grindelwald and I have developed over the years, -if there's something we can't let others know, we communicate in this way.-'

After Dumbledore and the crowd dispersed, he spoke with Professor McGonagall "Minerva, Agarth is indeed more suitable for Gryffindor."

He was now wondering if there was a way to get Agarth to transfer to Gryffindor, although there had never been such a precedent since the school was founded.

"Albus, you should tell Severus this after he has investigated the matter thoroughly."

Professor McGonagall was also puzzled by Sorting Hat's decision to sort Agarth into Slytherin, but she was already grateful to Merlin that she had one less troublemaker in her house.

After saying that, Professor McGonagall glanced at Mr. Rozier, the school doctor's assistant who had been personally recruited by Dumbledore and was now living in the headmaster's office.

(N: Ckck this old men can't be subtle)

"Albus, I should go check on the children in the Gryffindor common room. Goodbye, Mr. Rozier."

Grindelwald nodded to Professor McGonagall and watched her walk away.

"Albus, she's not as smart as your Slytherin Head House."

"Minerva is straightforward by nature, but she has become extremely serious in recent years, unlike Severus." Dumbledore gave the person beside him a warning look.

"Don't be nervous, didn't I promise you before I came?" Grindelwald said with a smile.

He was completely unconcerned about Dumbledore's wariness of him. He had been looking forward to this day for so many years, and all he had to do was be a little more cautious.

"You should keep your word." Dumbledore lowered his eyelids and softened his tone.

It is no exaggeration to say that he is the person who knows Grindelwald best in the world.

'Since he promised, I should indeed give him more trust, but just a little.'

Grindelwald tilted his head, a smirk playing on his lips, and walked to Dumbledore's left, gently putting his arm around his right shoulder.

"Let's go, have Kaka prepare some food for the headmaster's room. I didn't get enough to eat after Agarth's outburst."

Dumbledore nodded, and after taking a few steps, he stopped.

'How did you know Agarth was causing trouble?'

"I don't know, but I know him."

Meanwhile, Agarth, who was summoned to the Head House office, couldn't keep up with Professor Snape's pace. At first, he walked briskly to keep up, but later he had to jog to catch up with Professor Snape's back.

The dungeon environment was relatively quiet, and the dim wall lights did not provide any illumination. Agarth could only walk a few steps before stopping to observe the steps beneath his feet.

'I don't know if the Head House in front of me did it on purpose or not, but on the way back to his office, we walked up and down steps of all sizes.'

The figure in front suddenly stopped and said to the snake sculpture of Medusa coiled on the right door, "Open the door."

The static snake sculpture's tail suddenly moved, the snake's head biting its tail, making a hissing sound, and the door opened.

Snape completely ignored whether the people behind him followed and went inside on his own.

Agarth touched his back and felt a chill.

'But I had no choice but to muster up my courage and follow the dungeon King inside.'

'Why is this office built like a haunted house, so gloomy and dark? I wonder if the dormitories are like this too?'

"Mr. Lindgel." The figure that Agarth had been chasing suddenly turned around, its sleeve brushing against Agarth's face.

"Professor, could you turn around a little smaller next time? This coat is like a rag, it's getting all that dust in my face." Agarth's voice trailed off under Professor Snape's increasingly icy gaze.

He was absolutely right! The man's clothes were all black and had a strange smell. Plus, as soon as you entered his office, you were hit by a musty, damp odor.

Agarth's nose was itchy.

'The clothes splashed all over my face, and I didn't even complain about how smelly and dirty they were.'

"Mr. Lindgel," Professor Snape said, sitting down at his desk and raising his chin slightly, "please tell me, did you go to Diagon Alley on August 7th of this year?"

Agarth scratched the back of his head, wondering what this question had to do with tonight. Nevertheless, he obediently answered.

"I guess."

Upon hearing Agarth's reply, Professor Snape narrowed his eyes and tossed the knife he had been holding onto the table.

"This is the knife you just used."

"This is the trash bin I picked up from Diagon Alley that day."

'That day, as usual, I went to Diagon Alley to buy some potion ingredients and saw a group of idiots who were stuck at the entrance and couldn't get in. Their hands were swollen from the stimulation of a strange powder.'

'I spent some time unloading the trash bin from the ground, but on the way back, my hands got more and more swollen, just like those idiots.'

'Today, Warrington's mouth reminded me of that swollen appearance, which was extremely similar to my own hand that day.'

Agarth looked happily at the familiar Trash bin in front of him. Did this mean that after that day, someone really was so stupid as to not be able to find the entrance?

Thinking this, Agarth looked into Professor Snape's deep eyes.

Snape raised an eyebrow and sneered, "Yes, there is indeed a bunch of idiots who can't find the entrance. Everyone who tries to touch the Trash bin gets tricked by your powder. You must be very proud of yourself."
