Chapter 90 - CHAPTER 2: SILENCE BEFORE THE SEAL

Satoru Gojo walked through Shibuya Station.

Not rushed.

Not cautious.

Just walking.

But with every step, the scent of blood grew thicker in the air.

The laughter of the crowd outside the curtain was now a distant echo. Inside—only silence… and breathing. Not the kind of breathing that brought peace. No, this was the rasping sound of twisted lungs in malformed bodies.

And then he saw them.

Humans. Dozens of them.

No—former humans.

They stumbled forward like corpses risen from the depths of a nightmare, cursed energy radiating off their broken frames. Their limbs were stretched, bent at impossible angles, faces contorted by Mahito's sickening touch.

"Transfigured humans," Gojo said, his voice low. "So, this is what you've sunk to…"

He looked at them.

He hesitated.

These weren't curses—they were victims. But there was no saving them now.

And Gojo knew that.

There was no choice.

Blue light shimmered at his fingertips. His hand rose slowly.

He whispered, "Curse Technique Reversal: Red."

A brilliant pulse of power flashed through the station—unstoppable, merciful in its finality. The bodies collapsed in an instant, wiped clean from existence.

But there were more. Dozens. Maybe hundreds.

They kept coming.

Gojo's expression hardened. He wasn't playing anymore.

He moved like a storm. Blink—and three went down. Blink again—he was at the ceiling, spinning, launching cursed energy beams through walls. Explosions echoed as he flipped, twisted, blinked through his battlefield with absolute precision.

And yet—they were endless.

Until—

A silence fell.

From the shadows emerged three figures. One smoldering with fire. Another cloaked in decaying petals. And the third—eyes cold, blood pooling beneath his feet.

Jogo. Hanami. Choso.

They stood shoulder-to-shoulder across the station floor, bodies calm, cursed energy crackling like distant thunder.

"So," Jogo said, stepping forward, his head blazing. "You're not tired yet, are you, Gojo Satoru?"

Gojo tilted his head. "Tired? I haven't even warmed up."

Hanami spoke next, their voice like vines whispering through soil. "Even you can't kill them all without breaking."

Choso didn't speak. His eyes were locked onto Gojo—filled with something almost… personal.

Gojo looked at the three of them. Then he looked at the bodies around him.

"I get it now," he said. "You're stalling me."

His smile faded.

"And I really hate being stalled."

He slowly reached for the band over his eyes.

"The moment you decided to use humans as shields…"

His fingers curled around the fabric.

"…you lost your right to mercy."

He slid his blindfold down.

Six Eyes glowed with fury.

Satoru Gojo wasn't smiling anymore.

He was done talking.
