Mohin thought for a moment, saying to himself, "This world is strange. Very strange. It's dangerous, and unfortunately, I know nothing about it. I've been confined to that village since I was a child. I don't even know my parents. My sister is my only remaining family, and now I have another goal: to become stronger to protect her. Perhaps one day, my village might be attacked by these monsters. If that happens, I must protect her. Even if saving her seems impossible, I will save her. But for now, I need to learn more about this world and the creatures within it. But a question has come to mind that I want to ask mr.Rail. Did he know what was happening outside the vill—"
"Mohin, why are you so quiet?" the outsider asked inquisitively.
Mohin spoke irritably, "I'm trying to think a little!! I've been walking on this road for two straight days with only four hours of rest each day."
The outsider replied, "I'm just trying to keep you from going crazy from the loneliness—"
"Do you think I'm ten years old? All I want is some quiet!"
"..."
"That's better."
Two hours later, it was still the same. All Mohin could hear were the sounds of his own footsteps, the leaves of the trees rustling against each other, and the wind brushing against his ear. This finally calmed him down, letting him stop thinking for a moment.
Not long after, this quiet was broken by the sound of horse hooves. Mohin turned to look behind him and saw a carriage pulled by two horses, with another carriage following it.
Mohin stopped moving and waited for the carriage to approach. He waved at them to stop. The lead carriage didn't stop and continued on its way. However, the carriage at the back came to a halt.
The person driving the carriage spoke, "It seems we've found another person. My luck is good. Hey, boy with the strange hair! Do you need a ride? And where are you headed? But it has to be on my way; I won't turn back."
"Yes, I need a ride. My destination is the City of Hunters."
