Chapter 278 - Chapter 278: The Reverse World

The sensation of stepping into the void made Lin Feng instinctively activate his psychic power. But almost immediately, the feeling of solid ground beneath his feet brought him to a halt.

He lowered his head on reflex, only to find that the floor beneath him was no longer the concrete ground of the cowshed, but a stretch of strangely colored soil.

He looked up.

The scenery around him had changed completely. It was as if water were pouring down from the sky, countless pillars of water hanging upside down, flowing across fragments of land.

These landmasses were not all rooted to the ground. Instead, they looked as though the world itself had been sliced apart, each segment floating separately in midair.

In the reflection of the inverted sky, he could even see the plantation, turned upside down.

"The Reverse World."

That was the first thought that came to Lin Feng's mind.

He immediately turned around.

As expected, a pair of blood-red eyes, each with a black pupil at its center, stared at him expressionlessly.

Origin Forme Giratina.

As the ruler of the Reverse World, only it could freely drag others into this realm.

Lin Feng had only seen Giratina inside the cowshed before, never its full form. And now, he was standing directly within the Reverse World itself.

Giratina hovered behind him, looking down at him.

Its sleek body stretched dozens of meters long. Its tattered black wings beat slowly, yet there was no sound of wind, no disturbance in the air, only a deathly silence.

Combined with its immense size, the pressure it exuded was almost suffocating.

Lin Feng froze for a moment.

"Why is there less?"

A cold voice suddenly echoed in his mind, making him flinch.

He quickly realized that Giratina was communicating with him through telepathy.

Rather than panicking, Lin Feng calmly scanned his surroundings.

Soon enough, he spotted a familiar object beside Giratina.

A barrel of honey mead.

"What's less?" Lin Feng asked, pretending not to understand.

"This."

Giratina's voice remained emotionless.

It floated over to the barrel, its gaze fixed on the chocolate liqueur resting on top.

"You like it?" Lin Feng asked as he walked over. Looking inside the barrel and seeing that only a small amount of honey mead remained, he could not help but smile.

Giratina fell silent.

After a long pause, it finally spoke again.

"Human, you are very bold. No one has ever dared to speak to me like this."

"Then has anyone ever spoken to you before?" Lin Feng asked with interest.

From his perspective, there should still be people within the Reverse World.

For example, when Ash arrived in the Sinnoh region, a man named Marcus had entered the Reverse World because of Shaymin, later returning to the real world with Shaymin's help.

That man might have passed through here as well.

Giratina was clearly caught off guard by the question and fell into even deeper silence.

It had never actively sought conversation with anyone before.

In other words, Lin Feng was the first human it had deliberately pulled in and spoken to.

In the past, it had dragged humans into the Reverse World, but those people were terrified the moment they saw it. Overwhelmed by fear, they could not even speak properly.

Left with no choice, Giratina had sent them back.

There were also those who actively searched for entrances to the Reverse World. When Giratina realized they were merely explorers and posed no threat, it did not interfere.

"So that means no one, right? Then I must be the first. And honestly, this is my first time seeing the Reverse World too."

Lin Feng looked around in amazement. Floating near the fragmented land were countless bubbles, each one displaying scenes from the real world.

In one of them, Blaziken was still eating, while Serperior and Gardevoir were growing restless after suddenly losing their sense of Lin Feng's aura.

All of them possessed aura sensitivity.

The moment Lin Feng disappeared, Serperior had almost immediately slithered into the cowshed, with Gardevoir following close behind.

Gardevoir had calmed Serperior and then remained quietly in place.

She had not told everyone that Lin Feng was missing.

Seeing this put Lin Feng slightly at ease.

He turned back to Giratina.

"You were asking why the amount of chocolate liqueur went down, right?"

"But I made that chocolate liqueur myself, so adding a little more or a little less should be fine, shouldn't it?"

Giratina had never spoken before. In its long existence, no one had ever reasoned with it.

No one had ever told it what was right or wrong. That being had only given it a ferocious nature, then cast it into this inverted world.

This strange exchange stirred a feeling it could not describe.

"Of course," Lin Feng continued, "you are incredibly powerful. If you wanted to take my honey mead, I would have no way to argue."

"But I believe that as the god of the Reverse World, the honorable Giratina, you are reasonable and would not do something so irrational. Am I right?"

"And from the fact that you only take one barrel each time, it seems like you actually wanted to explain things to me this time, didn't you?"

Lin Feng looked straight at Giratina.

He did not know Giratina's true personality, but offering praise first was rarely a mistake.

Sure enough, the words that surfaced in his mind next made Lin Feng's eyes light up.

"Correct."

"Then," Lin Feng said eagerly, rubbing his hands together, "after drinking so much of my honey mead, what are you planning to trade in return?"

This time, it was Giratina's turn to be stunned. It had never imagined the situation would develop like this.

For a brief moment, it felt an unfamiliar sense of helplessness, unsure how to respond.

Lin Feng smoothly took control of the conversation.

"If you don't have anything in mind, how about this. You provide me with a passage that allows me to freely enter the Reverse World, and I will supply you with honey mead and chocolate liqueur."

"And one more thing," he added, glancing at the soil suspended in the sky, his eyes gleaming. "Can I take some of this soil with me?"

That soil had once belonged to the plantation.

It had merely been flipped upside down, becoming what it was now.

Reverse soil. Crops planted in it would yield reversed materials.

Giratina hesitated.

"Can..."
