According to Hattrem, Growlithe had just been sent by Mayor Grandpa, so not all of the Pokémon in the nursery had seen him before.
Yet, the little fellow immediately ran happily after Lin Feng, keeping close behind him all the way to the kitchen.
Lin Feng couldn't help but check his interface.

"Hmm? He even inherited Morning Sun? Could it be that his father was a Sun Pokémon?"
Lin Feng was briefly surprised by this skill, but he quickly dismissed the thought.
Even after entering the kitchen, Growlithe stuck closely to his side, never more than twenty centimeters away.
When Lin Feng stopped, Growlithe obediently sat down.
"Are you hungry?"
Looking at the still slightly small-sized Growlithe, Lin Feng took a bottle of Moomoo Milk from the fridge.
"Woof woof~" (Not hungry, not hungry~)
But soon Growlithe's stomach let out a loud rumble.
"…Woof…"
"All right, let me warm up some milk for you." Lin Feng smiled warmly.
He lit the stove, brought water to a boil, and placed the glass bottle into it for two to three minutes until the Moomoo Milk was pleasantly warm.
Then he poured the steaming milk into a bowl.
Growlithe's eyes lit up, fixed on the bowl without blinking.
But when Lin Feng set the bowl down, Growlithe didn't immediately drink. Instead, he looked at Lin Feng with eager anticipation.
"All right, go ahead, drink…"
Only after Lin Feng gave permission did Growlithe happily wag his tail and lap up the milk.
Watching this, Lin Feng nodded repeatedly.
He had to admit, Growlithe lived up to expectations, a Pokémon carefully chosen for the family by Ms. Junsha.
Even at a young age, even without formal training, Pokémon could develop an "absolute obedience" toward a trainer once they recognized them.
While Growlithe drank, Lin Feng got to work with the newly exchanged Happiny eggs.
Although he had traded for fifteen, his plan remained unchanged: he only intended to make one batch for Serperior.
Making tea eggs was even simpler.
He boiled the Happiny eggs in freshly boiled water, cracked a few slits, and added spices, soy sauce, salt, peppercorns, bay leaves, and World Tree tea leaves.
After simmering on low for ten minutes, he let them soak to allow the flavors to fully blend. Lin Feng chose to soak them for three hours.
Once that was done, he hurried to another kitchen and started preparing energy cubes with Gardevoir for the next few days at the nursery.
As soon as Growlithe finished his milk, he ran happily behind Lin Feng.
Along the way, many Pokémon watched the joyful little dog with curiosity.
Growlithe, however, did not back down, barking at them in a posture that was both fierce and adorable.
This included Ninetales and Eevee.
"No hesitation?"
Ninetales had just adjusted to her new evolved body, and upon returning, noticed a Growlithe in the home.
The Pokémon quickly surrounded him.
Despite seeing Ninetales and the Eevees were bigger than him, Growlithe wasn't intimidated, assuming Lin Feng was right behind him. He barked directly at them.
"Woof woof!"
"No hesitation?"
Ninetales stepped in front of the little dog.
Suddenly, everything around her seemed tiny.
It was a novel shift in perspective.
"Woof…"
Growlithe couldn't explain why; he just barked at Ninetales.
Lin Feng watched quietly and didn't intervene, continuing straight to the kitchen.
Ninetales glanced at the fierce little Growlithe, then at Lin Feng who had already walked away.
Her eyes brightened. "No…"
The three Eevees immediately surrounded Growlithe. From his slightly trembling barks and confused expression, it was clear he had no idea what would happen next.
He searched for Lin Feng behind him, hoping for support.
But when he turned, where was Lin Feng's shadow?
Clearly, the newly born Growlithe was being jostled by several Eevees, being led toward the garden.
From afar, Lin Feng watched and shook his head.
Poor Growlithe. He was certainly undergoing a "team entry evaluation."
Sprigatito had experienced the same thing.
However, Ninetales was very wise; after Sprigatito refused, though she was disappointed, she did not disturb him, respecting his love of quiet.
Lin Feng didn't disturb Ninetales either and instead turned back to the nursery.
He returned to the kitchen and began making energy cubes with Gardevoir for the coming days.
Once production was complete, he rushed into the garden kitchen.
Lifting the lid, a pale yellow tea egg was ready!
Legendary Dish – Happiny Tea Egg. Cooked with World Tree tea leaves and Happiny eggs. Pokémon recognized by the World Tree who consume it inherit the Will of Nature.
Dish Effect 1: Brings happiness and good fortune. First use grants luck, increasing fortune by 50%.
Dish Effect 2: Will of Nature. Upon consumption, inherits the World Tree's legacy, borrowing its natural power. Note: Only creatures recognized by the World Tree can gain this effect.
"Ah?"
Seeing the first effect, Lin Feng thought nothing of it.
Luck-enhancing effects had already been proven.
Moreover, even with a 50% boost, Serperior could not surpass Milotic.
But the second effect…
Lin Feng was stunned.
Inheriting the World Tree's legacy and being able to borrow its life force didn't that mean coexisting with the World Tree?
This…
Immediately, Lin Feng thought of Meowth.
A typical example of coexisting with the World Tree.
But soon, he noticed a difference.
This "dish effect" allowed borrowing of natural power, not sharing it.
That meant Serperior could fully utilize the World Tree's power without bearing responsibility?
"No, no. I can't think that way."
Lin Feng shook his head, dismissing the thought.
Borrowing the World Tree's power so recklessly might not cause immediate objection, but over time, the Tree would surely grow unwilling.
