Chapter 56 - Chapter 57: Finally, the Class Begins

Chapter 57: Finally, the Class Begins

The next day, Aoi arrives at school completely exhausted, his body heavy from the lack of proper rest. He slumps into his seat, resting his face on the desk with a deep sigh, thinking to himself: "Yesterday was really a tough day. I didn't expect things to turn out like that at home."

Aoi's mind drifts back to the previous evening. He had arrived home after school, still buzzing with motivation from the day's events, eager to train harder, defeat villains, and protect those close to him—especially Rumi and Nemuri. But as soon as he stepped through the door with his usual energetic grin, he noticed something off. Rumi was in a particularly bad mood, the kind that only came around certain days of the month. In other words, the powerful pro hero Mirko was dealing with PMS, and it showed.

Aoi shudders even now, just remembering the barrage of insults she hurled at him in several different languages—some he recognized, others he didn't even know she knew. He had tried to keep his cool, but when things got too intense, he attempted to escape by sneaking into Nemuri's (Midnight's) bed for some peace. That plan backfired spectacularly when rumi, in her protective mode, grabbed him by the collar and dragged him right back to Rumi's room. He ended up forced to sleep cuddling with his beautiful bunny-eared girlfriend, her arms wrapped tightly around him. For any teenage boy, being that close to someone as stunning as Rumi and not being able to do anything about it was nothing short of pure torture. The frustration lingered even now, making him feel drained before the day had even properly started.

The classroom buzzes with the usual morning chatter as students settle in. At that moment, Tenya Iida approaches Aoi's desk with his characteristic straight posture and serious expression.

"Aoi, are you okay? You look unusually fatigued this morning."

Soon after, Ochaco Uraraka and Mina Ashido also gather around, their faces etched with concern as they peer at him.

"Aoi, are you okay? You seem really worn out," Uraraka asks softly.

Mina nods, tilting her head. "Yeah, what's going on?"

Aoi lifts his head slightly, meeting their worried eyes, and forces a small smile before replying.

"Well... it's not anything too serious. It's just that my girlfriend is on those days, you know, and it's making my life a bit difficult right now. But hey, I'm still being treated better than the villains she takes down on the street. Those guys don't stand a chance against her when she's like this."

Mina's eyes widen in understanding.

"So big sister Rumi is on those days..."

She looks at Aoi with genuine pity, shaking her head slowly. After being friends for several years, both she and Uraraka are well aware of Rumi's fiery personality—the pro hero Mirko isn't known for holding back. The idea of her dealing with PMS on top of that is terrifying. Yet here Aoi is, still in one piece and breathing. That alone proves just how tough and resilient he must be to handle it.

Denki Kaminari, who had been eavesdropping on the conversation from a nearby seat, suddenly perks up with wide eyes and exclaims in surprise:

"Your girlfriend? Wait a second... you have a girlfriend?!"

Aoi glances at the group, a mischievous smile spreading across his face as he decides to tease them a little.

"Well, actually, I have three. But my luck is that only one is on those days right now. Otherwise, I'd already be dead."

Kaminari's jaw drops, and he starts fake-crying, dramatic tears streaming down his face as he yells and points accusingly at Aoi:

"You damn harem protagonist!"

Aoi chuckles, looking at him calmly.

"If you get handsomer and more charming..."

Kaminari interrupts eagerly, pumping his fist.

"I can do it!"

Aoi shakes his head with a grin.

"No. You'd just get rejected with fewer insults."

The group laughs at the exchange, lightening the mood in the classroom.

At that moment, Izuku Midoriya approaches Aoi, his expression curious and a bit hesitant.

"Aoi, I wanted to know what your quirk is exactly. After all, you healed me with your flames during that incident, but you also used super strength in the Quirk Apprehension Test. It's really versatile."

The rest of the class perks up, turning their attention to Aoi with growing curiosity. Everyone has been wondering about his abilities since the test. Just as Aoi opens his mouth to explain, the classroom door slides open dramatically, and All Might bursts in with his signature booming presence.

"It's me! Entering through the door like a normal person! I'm here!"

The entire class turns toward the door in excitement. Mina claps her hands together happily.

"All Might! We're going to have class with him!"

Iida adjusts his glasses, nodding thoughtfully.

"I knew there were rumors that he'd start teaching here, but I didn't imagine it was actually true."

Izuku stares in awe, his eyes sparkling.

"That's the Silver Age costume!"

Aoi, hearing the phrase "Silver Age," immediately thinks of Silver Age Superman—the version from the comics who was ridiculously overpowered, strong in ways that defied logic.

Standing tall in front of the door, All Might surveys the class with his wide, heroic smile.

"Well, young future heroes! Today you're going to participate in my class, which will teach you how young heroes like yourselves should properly react in confrontations with villains. So, this will be a combat class."

Katsuki Bakugou, hearing the word "combat," cracks his knuckles with a feral grin.

"Finally, things are getting fun."

Aoi glances at him and thinks privately: "A boring class where I'll have to hold back every second so I don't accidentally kill anyone. Great."

All Might continues enthusiastically.

"And, as it couldn't be missing from the first simulated combat class..."

Suddenly, a compartment in the floor slides open with a mechanical whir. The students lean forward excitedly, already knowing what's inside from the rumors and orientation.

"We've prepared all your hero uniforms according to your requests, so they fit your quirks perfectly and draw out the maximum potential from them. Now, form separate lines for boys and girls, grab your clothes, and change in the locker rooms!"

The class buzzes with energy as everyone heads down to collect their costumes. While walking toward the boys' locker room with the group, Aoi notices Izuku looking particularly nervous, his hands fidgeting. Aoi pats him firmly on the shoulder with a reassuring smile.

"What's wrong, Izuku? Already scared?"

Izuku shakes his head quickly.

"It's nothing... I'm just nervous about not performing well in my first real fight."

Aoi nods understandingly.

"It's completely normal to feel nervous, especially since you still don't have full control over your quirk, right? The key is to do what needs to be done at exactly the right moment. Since you can only use your quirk a limited number of times before it injures you, save it for the decisive instant. Don't activate it in the heat of the moment out of panic. If you can endure part of the fight without it, hold out and unleash it when it counts the most. Considering your current lack of control, that's the best strategy I can think of."

Izuku's face brightens with a grateful smile.

"Thanks for the advice, Aoi. That really helps."

By the time they finish talking, they reach the locker room and realize it's empty—the rest of the boys have already changed and left.

Aoi laughs lightly.

"Looks like we talked too much and ended up falling way behind. Come on, let's hurry before we get even later."

Izuku nods.

"Right!"

Aoi examines his chosen battle outfit. Since nothing specific would directly enhance his quirk, he prioritized style and presence. He slips into the suit, admiring it in the mirror. "Well, only the admiral outfit from One Piece really worked on my muscular, tall body—two meters high and built like this. I seriously considered the Monkey King outfit from Jin Mori's style, but it just wouldn't suit my frame at all."

Finally, he dons his long overcoat, blue flames flickering along the edges with seven delicate cherry blossom petals floating around him in a gentle aura. He turns to Izuku, whose green costume with bunny-like ear accents makes him resemble an Easter bunny, and smiles.

"Well, let's go, Izuku. We can't be any later than this."

Izuku slightly but nods.

"Yeah, let's go!"

Back in the training area, All Might watches with a proud smile as the students return one by one in their hero costumes.

"Well, everyone, now you really look like true heroes!"

He scans the group and asks.

"Where are young Aoi and young Izuku?"

Eijiro Kirishima raises a hand.

"Professor, they were talking and got delayed. They should be here any second."

Right on cue, footsteps echo, and everyone turns to see Aoi and Izuku rushing in.

Aoi says with a confident grin.

"Sorry we're late, but the best always shows up last, right?"

Bakugou glares at him, palms sparking slightly.

"Arrogant bastard."

Aoi smirks back.

"Hearing that from you, who calls everyone else extras, is kind of ironic, don't you think?"

Bakugou's eyes flare with anger.

"What?! Damn it, I'll blow you up!"

Aoi remains calm.

"Maybe in a timeline where I'm blind, mute, deaf, and crazy that actually happens."

All Might quickly steps between the two boys, separating them with his massive arms and laughing heartily.

"Stop the joking around, young ones! I'm about to explain your task for today."

The class quiets down and separates. Aoi walks over to Mina and Uraraka, admiring their costumes up close—Mina's pink and vibrant with horn accents, Uraraka's sleek and practical with space-themed elements.

"Well, your costumes look beautiful, girls. They really suit you both."

Mina beams, twirling a bit.

"Yours looks amazing too! You really look like a pro hero already."

Aoi smiles warmly.

"Good to know. Thanks for the compliment."

Author's Note: Sorry for the delay in updating. I was watching the ending of the anime so I wouldn't make any mistakes while writing the fanfic. I'll be back to updating regularly now, and sorry once again for the delay.
