Lucien
I walk towards my office slowly, my head in a haze. Her words keep repeating itself at the times I do not want it to pop up.
Still, they bubble up again. Then it hits hard. Really hard.
I push back the rage that tries bubbling up in my throat each time I remember her words. Of course, she was entitled to every word she said but..
My head clicks as soon as I stop in front of my office. Her scent vaguely fills the air, wrapping itself around me like a cat purring for attention. Cinnamon and clove- just like her fiery, yet soft person. It's perfect.
I turn my head to the cubicle a little far off from my office. Did she really quit? Or was it in a fit of rage she said that?
A part of me really wants to believe it's the latter, but then..
I sigh, pushing the door open, walking slowly to my seat.
She better be kidding. I'm not allowing her quit just like that.
I sit down ready for work, but the back of my head keeps bugging me.
