"Kamui."
Ash vanished in an instant.
In the next heartbeat, he appeared directly behind the old man. A space–time vortex abruptly formed between them, twisting violently as its rotational speed increased. In just a few seconds, the old man's upper body was nearly swallowed by the spiraling void.
"This is bad—damn it! My body won't move!"
The terrifying pull of the space–time distortion robbed him of control. No matter how he struggled, it was useless. In the end, he was dragged screaming into the other dimension, disappearing completely.
"As expected… once you're familiar with it, Kamui's activation speed improves drastically," Ash muttered to himself.
"If I'd had this level of control back when I fought Minato, things wouldn't have been so troublesome."
Another space–time vortex opened, and Ash stepped calmly into his Kamui dimension.
The endless sea stretched without horizon. Above it hung a pitch-black sky. Beneath the water's surface lay a bottomless abyss, visible yet unfathomably deep.
Not far away, the old man stood frozen in confusion.
"Where is this place?" he demanded sharply as Ash appeared, gripping his long blade tightly.
"And what do you want?"
"Useless questions," Ash replied indifferently.
"This is my dimension. Everything here is under my control."
In this space, every movement of the old man was perfectly clear to him—there was nowhere to hide.
"It's about time to end this."
Ash formed hand seals smoothly.
"Water Release: Thousand Feeding Sharks."
The seals completed.
A massive tidal wave erupted behind Ash, surging forward with terrifying momentum. Within the torrent swam countless sharks—no fewer than a thousand—each radiating murderous intent as they locked onto their prey.
"What—?!"
The old man's expression changed drastically.
"Damn it… this brat's chakra is monstrous! This isn't the chakra of an Uchiha at all!"
Without hesitation, he mobilized nearly seventy percent of the chakra remaining in his body, pouring it into his blade.
"Draw Slash!"
He swung downward in a vertical arc.
A massive chakra blade tore through the air and collided head-on with the incoming wave.
BOOM—!!!
The chakra blade split the wave cleanly in two. Dozens of sharks were torn apart by the impact, reduced to scattered fragments.
But the attack didn't end there.
"Powerful," Ash observed calmly.
"That's an S-rank technique… but the chakra cost is absurd. He's got maybe twenty percent left."
The old man felt it even more keenly.
The Uchiha clan naturally possessed limited chakra reserves. Their chakra extraction methods favored precision and ocular techniques—not large-scale ninjutsu. That was precisely why most Uchiha relied on their eyes.
Only after awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan would their chakra increase dramatically—often reaching well beyond standard Kage-level. That was one of the reasons figures like Madara Uchiha could freely wield massive techniques.
After all, Susanoo consumed more than just ocular power—it demanded immense chakra as well.
"Aaagh!!"
As the two halves of the wave crashed down on either side of him, the old man narrowly avoided being crushed outright.
But the sharks were still alive.
The moment they reentered the sea, they surged toward him again—drawn by blood.
Before he could fully react, one shark clamped down on his left arm.
Crunch.
His arm was torn apart.
"Damn it—what the hell is this place?!"
Sweat poured down his face as he clutched his blade in his remaining hand, staring at Ash in horror.
Suddenly—
Ash disappeared from his sight.
The old man's Sharingan shrank instantly.
A sneak attack!
He tried to move—but the agony from his shattered arm surged violently, forcing his body to stall for a split second.
That instant was enough.
Pffft.
"Cough—!!"
A blade pierced straight through his chest.
Blood poured from his mouth as his body stiffened, life rapidly draining away.
"After the Totsuka Blade is fully manifested, it really is far easier to use."
Looking at the old man with the blade piercing straight through his chest, Ash spoke quietly to himself.
The weapon in his hand was not an ordinary sword—it was one of Susanoo's divine artifacts, the Totsuka Blade.
After repeated practice, Ash was now able to manifest the Totsuka Blade directly in his hands using chakra. The blade itself had no physical form; it was a purely spiritual weapon. As long as it was summoned through Susanoo's chakra, the Totsuka Blade could be visualized and wielded at will.
In the original records, Uchiha Itachi had never fully mastered this level of control.
But because of Ash's unique condition and overwhelming chakra reserves, there now existed two Totsuka Blades in the shinobi world.
Their power, however, was worlds apart.
After all, Ash's strength far surpassed Itachi's.
"Tch… didn't expect the old man to awaken it at the very end."
The old man, impaled by the Totsuka Blade, struggled weakly as chakra surged violently from his eyes. Unfortunately for him, everything was already too late—his life had been severed the instant the blade pierced him.
"…Oh?"
Ash narrowed his eyes.
"So his luck really was terrible."
"To awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan at the moment of death… what a waste."
With a casual kick, Ash flipped the corpse over. The original three-tomoe Sharingan had transformed, revealing a triangular, spiraling Mangekyō pattern.
"Not bad," Ash said calmly.
"A pleasant bonus."
He carefully removed the Mangekyō eyes and placed them into a prepared container of preservation saline. Then, grabbing the corpse, he exited the Kamui dimension.
Once back in the real world, Ash tossed the lifeless body aside without another glance.
The night quickly swallowed the remains.
