This place could be considered the realm of Yahn's spiritual consciousness. It resembled an endless night sky, with a jade-like white path stretching through the middle, dividing the dark heavens into two halves.
At this moment, Yahn stood upon that very jade-white path.
To the left, one could see two luminous stars representing Senbonzakura and Tenken flickering in the distance, along with numerous dim, lifeless asteroids — symbolic of spiritual pressure that had already been completely absorbed and transformed.
To the right, however, two monstrous Hollows drifted through the sky. Their appearances were wildly different from one another.
One resembled an enormous eyeball — though upon closer inspection, it was made up of countless tiny eyes, densely packed together.
The other resembled a demon with dark wings spread wide, emanating an eternal aura of emptiness and solitude.
These two were the physical manifestations of Yahn's Resurrección form.
Initially, Yahn had assumed that after transferring the power of the eyeball monster — named Brujeria (Sangha of the Bewitching Eyes) — to little Robin, it would vanish from his inner world. Yet surprisingly, it still remained here.
As for the demonic, winged creature, that was Black-Winged Demon, another Resurrección, which had manifested after Yahn absorbed two Devil Fruits from the Capone mafia group.
According to Yahn's estimates, to manifest another Hollow entity like this, he'd need to absorb at least four Devil Fruits.
And after that? Eight? Sixteen? Thirty-two? Sixty-four?
Yahn did the math briefly — and immediately felt the pit of an endless abyss opening before him.
After all, even the cheapest Devil Fruit on the black market cost at least 100 million Berries, and certain rare ones could go for billions.
"Forget it. I'll leave it to fate. I don't need the Resurrección for myself, and after granting its power to little Robin, I haven't seen any noticeable effects. Let's just leave it be for now."
With that thought, Yahn let go of his pursuit to explore the limits of Resurrección.
In contrast, Shinigami Zanpakutōs seemed more like an annual giveaway — free draws once a year, depending on your luck to pull a powerful one.
But Resurrección? That was clearly a pay-to-win system. As long as Yahn had enough money and Devil Fruits, he could mass-produce Resurrección and hand them out to his subordinates to boost their powers.
However, considering how the required number of Devil Fruits seemed to multiply with each use… even the Celestial Dragons, who endlessly plundered the wealth of the seas, would probably balk.
As a second-generation military officer with empty sleeves and shallow pockets, Yahn obviously couldn't afford such wealth or such rare items.
Just as Yahn confirmed that nothing was off within his inner world and was about to begin training with Senbonzakura, he suddenly froze.
His gaze slowly drifted to Brujeria, the eyeball Hollow.
Something was wrong.
In the past, Brujeria always floated around aimlessly, without consciousness or purpose. But this time, Yahn noticed something different.
It was staring at him.
Immediately, though his expression remained calm, Yahn's mind raced with rapid thoughts and hypotheses.
Then, he spoke calmly.
"Little Robin, since you're here, why not say something?"
At once, he noticed — out of the corner of his eye — the Brujeria had visibly paused.
Bullseye.
"This little girl…"
Yahn was both surprised and amused. He reached out his hand toward the Hollow eyeball, and in an instant, it seemed to fall under his control, swiftly flying toward him.
At that very moment, little Robin — who had been following a faint sense of familiarity and warmth and had cautiously wandered into this strange spiritual realm — suddenly felt an irresistible force pulling her in.
As the two drew closer, Robin saw and confirmed that the person before her was indeed the kind man who had rescued her from the inferno that engulfed Ohara not long ago.
In that instant, the girl who had been fleeing alone across the vast ocean — evading pursuit from the World Government and the Navy — felt as though she had once again found family.
She cried out with emotion:
"Big Brother… the kind one!"
---
Yahn.
Another "good guy" card.
This time, it was even handed to him by a giant eyeball.
Still, as Yahn recalled it, he had never actually told Robin his name before.
"Yahn. Trafymore Yahn. That's my name."
"Brother Yahn?!"
Robin's voice came from within Brujeria, the eyeball Hollow, which now visibly radiated joy.
A strange feeling crept over Yahn.
Especially since he absolutely could not associate the image of the elegant, mature beauty that Robin would become… with the giant eyeball currently before him.
Then, he noticed Senbonzakura, who had manifested beside him as a violet-armored samurai. Yahn spoke experimentally:
"Robin, can you try manifesting your true form?"
After a brief silence, Brujeria's bizarre shape began to wriggle and contract rapidly.
Soon, the figure of a little girl — around eight years old — took shape before Yahn, matching the Robin in his memory.
Much better.
At that moment, Yahn had to admit something to himself:
He really was a face-con.
His attitude shifted — no longer as rough as before — and he gently placed the young Robin onto the jade-white road beneath them.
"Robin, how did you end up here?" Yahn asked.
"I… I'm not really sure either," Robin replied. "After Brother Yahn gave me that special power, I started to feel this strange, familiar presence guiding me. But I was afraid it might be a trap, so I kept my guard up the whole time…"
She paused briefly before continuing.
"Then, I met a kind uncle who sold fish. He took me in, gave me food and a place to sleep. I must've fallen asleep there… and when I woke up, I was here."
Yahn suddenly interrupted.
"Wait."
"Hmm? Brother Yahn?" Robin asked.
"You said… a kind uncle took you in?"
"Yes! Saul was right — this ocean really is filled with kindness," said Robin with an innocent smile.
"…Robin," Yahn said, his voice turning serious. "Run."
"Huh?" Robin blinked, confused.
Yahn let out a long sigh.
"Robin, this ocean that seems calm and gentle on the surface hides currents more treacherous and deadly than you can imagine. Get away from that household. Immediately."
