"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, HERE ARE YOUR STARTERS FOR TONIGHT!"
The announcer started calling out the Dust Dogs. Every time a name hit the mic, the crowd just rained down boos, with a few people laughing at them. It was obvious nobody gave a shit about them. The players could feel it, and it felt like a heavy weight on their chests. They looked at the center circle where the game would start, feeling nervous as hell because they knew their fate was basically sealed.
Then it was Blacklist's turn.
"At power forward, one meter ninety-three of pure terror, JAAAZ!"
The whole arena literally shook. Jaz rolled her shoulders, a smug, mocking little smile on her face. She loved hearing how much the crowd feared her.
"At center, our defensive beast, REI!"
Rei didn't even look at the screaming fans. She just cracked her knuckles one by one, her eyes locked on the court. She was already in the zone.
"In the backcourt, the smallest frame in the league, but she hits the highest shots, MIKOOO!"
