Just before I turned my head away from the two poisonous ladies, I heard a familiar voice coming from right behind me, I looked back and saw two guys standing in front of me, weirdly enough those guys who I had never saw before were giving me death threats .
I was strangely looking at them, wondering if I might have seen them before, could they have been part of the corps responsible for guarding the teleportation gate of the city, were they someone I beat back then, their expressions seemed to imply trouble, like they had deep resentment towards me .
I looked at those guys and saw that the one who seemed younger of the two took a step forward and disappearing while leaving a few words :
I Jig, will teach you a lesson for stealing our chariot .
The moment those words fell into my ears, I was able to recognize the rough voice and who were those guys, they were the Levern Family members, they had arrived and seeing me here seemed to have upset them .
I looked at the elder who was currently flashing a cold smile at me and saw that the family head was about to get up from his chair and try and help, but I gestured to him that everything was fine .
I didn't have the intention to kill the two guys in front of me, after all, they gifted a good chariot, so it won't look good, but I believe beating both of them silly might suffice as an alternative .
But even though, I was momentarily surprised at them appearing here in that form, I wasn't one of the people who were shocked, after hearing about this .
Phyricos was the first to release a few chuckles and a few ridiculing comments at the Levern Family which ended in making the elder's cold smile to disappear from his face directly, I got to know that the Elder's name was Levn, from his talk with Phyricos .
The two kept bickering with one another, with the guy whose name was Phyricos, was actually the one who kept on provoking elder of Levern Family Levn, the exchange of words between the two, continued for quite a long time, I saw that the other guys sitting on the table, 11 or so were releasing some powerful aura, especially the guy who currently putting his feet on the table, he was maybe the strongest among those currently in the room, he had a unique and powerful aura to him .
Just as I was engrossed in my own mind, I suddenly had a tingling feeling on the back, I turned to see what was going on and saw that the guy who was called Jig, was actually trying to pierce through my skin, with a dagger that was glimmering with red light, but he was failing to do so miserably .
" Are you trying to tickle me or something, didn't you just say that you wanted to teach me a lesson, I'm right here, come on then .
The moment I said those words I saw the shock in the eyes of so many people around me, then I don't know if it was Tia or her sister who was suddenly wondering out loud about something that from her tone, it bewildered here, she was talking about the identity of that dagger in the hands of that brat from the Levern Family, its name seemed to be quite famous, it was called the Silve Splitter .
Before I even turn to take a look at the weapon mentioned, the guy and the weapon once again disappeared from my sight, he seem to went back to hiding in the shadows, now that his attack failed, I starting to get a bit annoyed by this, I turned my gaze back to the still smiling elder, but on the old man's face that he picked for himself to disguise in, the smile on his face was now a bit forced .
Seemingly a bit surprised by my sudden gaze at him, he raised his eyebrow at me, I not wanting to waste any of my time directly said :
" Elder from the Levern Family, if that is your family heir, I advise you to tell him to stop, or else the next time he attack me, I will kill him .
The other guys who were nonchalant on what was going on here at first, now all sucked a breath of air at how ridiculous my words sounded, the two poisonous sisters were beginning to laugh hysterically, but they didn't stop there they were actually beginning to fan the flames, telling the family elder that he should clear his name and prove his honor and weird things like that, the family head tried to say something .
But that Phyricos guy directly stopped him and told him that it was better not to stir more troubles for his family, he gained a firm hold on him as if binding him in his place, the Elder who was the topic of discussion, was looking at me with a scornful expression on his face, as he said looking to be quite:
You, you want to kill one of my family members, you would first have to through me first, I thought you were a promising guy that's why your family's head brought you instead of Loger, but it seemed that he brought you to die, kill him Jig .
Just as his voice fell, another voice sounded from obscure direction, it was saying :
You, you will kill me, I want to see you try .
Seeing that none of the people in the room seem to be taking my threat seriously, excluding the family's head, after all he saw me beat Drakes who is an elder in the family with no much of a problem, so even though he misunderstood as trying to get me out of this life-threatening situation, he was actually helping the other guy to survive, how strong was that Jig, compared to an elder .
Dorax :
You should really try to put a stop to Jig's action, Levn, or I'm afraid you will be going back with 1 less member of your family .
Levn :
Can I interprete your words as you wanting to start a fight with our family, Family's Head Dorax .
Dorax :
You misunderstood me, with Phyricos here, I won't be able to stop you from doing anything, all that I'm saying, is that you still have the chance to return to your family without getting injured or all wiped out in the process, I again confirm that I had no intention in taking actions .
That Levn was misunderstanding the reason I was here for, he believed that I came here to sightsee or something, he also was misunderstanding Family Head Dorax's words as him wanting to interfere herself to solve the predicament, I was in out, completely unaware that I'm more than capable of dealing with most of the people here without much of a problem .
The family's head wasn't interfering because he was afraid that I will get hurt, but in fact he was more concerned about that Jig losing his life really in my hands and what might this spark .
He was doing his best to try and meddle because he was afraid from the consequences of my actions, that was why he was still trying to convince that Levn to order that Jig to stop attacking, he was sensible enough to understand that a war between the two families will be quite the terrible thing to happen .
But the other guys seemed to be still underestimating the severity of the situation, he laughed the words of advice given by the Family head off and said :
Levn :
You guy really dared to threaten me, so I will tell you the same thing, forget about returning to your family with the same number of people you came here with, I will be kind enough and make you choose on the person you want to lose, either that bastard guy or.... .
~Slap~ .
The Hall fell into silent as the Elder of the Levern Family got slapped in the face, the guy who got slapped wasn't even able to react before he got slapped and even after a few seconds of that happening, that Elder's expression seemed to be still smug as before, the people in the hall were completely shocked, the room was engulfed in deathly silent .
Levn:
You, you bastard son of a... .
~Slap~
Without even waiting for him to finish cursing, I once again slapped him on the other cheek, making the room atmosphere turn to be more gloomier than before, the guys who were nonchalantly watching what was happening here without much of an intention to intervene before, directly began to try and exsert their pressure on me .
They were all releasing their auras at me, all wanting to make me understand how severe my actions just now were, my actions just now no longer allowed this conflict to be labeled as quarrelling between kids no more, I directly slapped the elder of an esteemed family, something they all frowned upon as it was completely disrespectful .
Levn :
You are dead .
The moment he finished saying this, I saw that I was suddenly shrouded in darkness, no more light, nothing but blackness seemed to be a head of me, then in that space of darkness, I began to rely on my senses to get a feeling of what was going on, the scene looked a bit familiar to me as if I had witnessed a scene similar to this before .
There was no sounds to be heard, my vision was completely obstructed, but my Mental Power seemed to be able to act as some sort of a 6th sense or 7th, I still don't know how the Demon body of mine worked, either way, I sensed that I was actually being swarmed by tons of people, but that wasn't the only weird thing about this place .
They were increasing in numbers too, then without saying anything those things began to attack me from all different kinds of angles and using the daggers in their hands to try and finish me off, I wasn't able to see their facial features, but I was certain that they were clones of that Levern Family elder, seeing that they were unable to even leave a mark on my skin .
A second later, I felt that the attacks of those clones become more and more aggressive, but they were still unable to do much against me, I then sensed that the attacks receded then I directly felt someone entering the effective range of my senses, but he wasn't coming from the front, but he was actually targeting my backside .
It was moving at fast speed yes, but I was still many times faster than him, the moment he appeared in my senses, I directly went and grabbed him but found that it was as if I didn't catch anything but air, he vanished, or to be more accurate, the target I tried to catch never existed, that was most likely another clone .
Me sensory ability picked on another threat coming towards me from the back, but once again it disappeared, I was beginning to get a bit stimulated by me keeping missing my target, after all I wasn't able to do anything, but stand there in the darkness waiting for him to attack .
Just as I was beginning to feel frustrated about this, I felt an itch in my eyes and begin sensing my Mental Power getting consumed rabidly, then all of a sudden, the veil of darkness that was engulfing me seconds before was now almost non-existent, I was still in a state where most of my senses were obscured, but my vision returned to normal .
No it was better than normal, in front of me, I saw lines of dark colored Mana intertwining with one another, that was a dark attribute Mana, these lines were what triggered the change in the scenery, I don't know whether was that something normal or not, but I felt quite amazed by this .
This wasn't the only thing, I had a feeling that if I were to disturb the formation those lines were in somehow, I would be able to negate whatever this weird veil of darkness was, but just by thinking about doing this, I felt that the Mana and my Mental power were being consumed rabidly, as if it was giving me some kind of a warning to stop thinking about this currently .
But at least I was now able to see where that guy was, he was actually sitting on a chair made of Mana and gathering his clones behind him as if he was a king, he might have looked quite imposed if not for the fact that he no longer kept his disguise from before and was now sitting there with his blue skin, that I don't know what to think of it, other than it spoiling the scene .
Seeing me looking at his direction, his eyes were opened wide from shock or at least I thought so, it was really difficult to tell anything that was going on with these blue imps like creatures, he tried to confirm that I was indeed looking at him by quirking his head to the side, but I still followed him with my vision .
I said in a slow and whispering tone :
" Found You .
I wasn't sure that by slowing the speed of my tone while saying this would allow him to hear me or not, but I believe that he was able to hear and understand what I said, as he suddenly gave the order for his clones to swarm me again, but this time he won't be able to no more have the chance .
I steady my feet on the ground then after I made sure that I was ready, I directly bounced forward in a dashing manner, then I transformed into my demonic form and the clones that were about to swarm me were all turned into smoke by me who was dashing at that Levn like a missile, in a blink of an eye, I was there in front of him and returned back to how I looked before, then without stopping in track, I directly used the momentum I had gathered and directly stomped his face which sent him flying through the dark veil .
Then I heard a cracking sound as if the glass was shattering then the veil of darkness began to dissipate like a smoke as well and the moment everything returned to normal, I was able to see that the elder that was seething with anger from before was now stuck to the wall like a picture, with blood coming out of his mouth .
I turned my head and the moment my eyes fell on the guys that were acting tough just now and releasing their auras at me, most of them began to quiver and other become unsettled, just as I was surprised to see the family's head being held back by 3 people, among them was Phyricos, I heard the voice of Jig saying :
You are dead .
Jig no, stop .
