I was back in the room at the exact same moment that I felt my senses blurring at before, this was the second time I heard this exact same question coming from the mouth of family head Dorax .
Time seemed to have been either reversed or was paused at this exact moment, but this wasn't the only shocking discovery I made, checking myself I was able to sense something was amiss with the reserve I have of Mental Energy, it seem that as I was still living in that weird illusion, the book in my robe was actually still devouring my Mental Energy all that time .
I couldn't help but link this kind of result to a weird possibility that appeared on my mind, that this book might actually be cursed or possessed, but figuring out what was which will be a task for some other time, as for now, I wanted to see what could family head Dorax tell me about that Mind Nourishing Method .
But I first stored that book back into the spatial bracelet in my hand, the reason was that I still was hearing the devil whisperers once again, I was worried that the book might start devouring my Mental Energy from the source again .
The Mental Energy it have already devoured didn't show any signs of recovering, which might mean bad news for me, if I were to let any more of my mental energy, so I directly decided that for now, I will put it away, then after dealing With the matters here at hands, I will slowly try to understand what was going on with that book .
Hearing the question of the family head, I turned to the family head and focused at him, the tensed atmosphere in the room seemed to exert some invisible pressure on the old man in front of me heart, his eyes seemed a bit diluted, but ignoring all of his weird reactions, I who already have a satisfactory answer prepared said :

What do you mean but made you like this, had someone made you become like this, do you remember anything from before you came knocking down the city gate ? .
All kind of questions were suddenly fired at me, he seem to have taken the bait, well the current situation left him no choice but trust me and take it, so he really no longer dared to think that I was an imposter, even though I came to ask about such serious matters .
" You need to calm down first family head Dorax, I don't know what to tell you, my memories seemed to be intact but they are somehow sealed at least the memories I have regarding certain topics are, so I can only recall some information now and then .
The family head nodded and seem to be completely under my spell, the guy in front of me seemed suddenly desperate to know the truth about what happened me or so I at least thought, but then I heard him say :

That guy wasn't that much interested in what happened to me, at least not as much as he was interested in the fictional man that I made up, but no matter, it seem that there are still discoveries to be made today, I couldn't help but fell into silent for a while .
Closing my eyes and acting as if I was struggling to come up with something to say,the family head said a few encouraging words, but after a while he fell completely silent not daring to be a nuisance here .
He was afraid that there would be some troubles with my tries to recall what happened before, so he didn't even dare to breathe loudly, the room was completely silent for a while, then I began to say while still closing my eyes :

After I finished saying this, I saw the family head get more emotional by the second, the curve of his mouth that should have disappeared just now, came back and it was even stronger than before, seeing his reaction I understood three things .
First, my words seemed to have made the person in front of me recall something that he should have forgotten about, the Second thing was related to how frequent incidents like mine happened in the Real World, he had no doubts that I was indeed telling the truth which me realize this .
Third, if I wasn't wrong with my assumption, it seem that him believing everything that I say might have been related to an absurd secret that was most likely related to the existence of that weird method .
Did..., did...., did that person gave you his name or identified himself for you ? .
The family head said this with a quivering voice, confirming things that I already suspected, it seem that this method indeed have quite the history with the Dorell family, the family head was intent on knowing the identity of this made up person, I needed to be more careful with my words from here on out .
Simply shaking my head was enough to make the family head react instantly, he held my arms and said :
You need to try more harder to remember, have he said anything to you about who he was ? .
Sensing how intense his reaction was, I couldn't help bu open my eyes and squint at the guy who seemed to have forgotten his place and who was he currently talking to with that tone, the moment I did this, the old man seemed to have come back to his senses and panicked instantly then let go of me and jumped back in fright .
I'm..., I'm sorry, but it seem that I wasn't able to keep my composure, what you are saying might be related to the future of our Dorell family, so I couldn't help but become a bit crazed for a while, I hope you can forgive me .
Seeing him pleading so sincerely like this for forgiveness, I felt good inside of me, then wanting to release him from his suffering as a reward, I said :

After I finished saying all of this, I saw that the face of the family head brightened up, his smile appeared once again and their was a weird longing expression on his face, I almost felt disgusted enough to puke seeing such an expression on an old man like him, it seem as if he was reminiscing about a lost love or something similar .
After coughing to try and remove the awkwardness currently in the room and get him to give me the answers I needed, he finally did begin to say :
The Mind Nourishing Method in our family hands had 7 stages, the last chapter of it is...um... missing, but it can still be recovered, the method can help increase the power of mind you spoke of and can even elevate the spirit, that was at least the reason why the Demon Emperor won't stop at anything to acquire .
8 Chapters, 8 Levels, that was how many levels were in this method as mentioned by the log of ancestors, successfully mastering the first 5 levels could help someone ascend all the way to the Emperor Realm, the other 6th and 7th Chapter will allow one to reach the Venerable Realm in myths, these were the information left by the man that you should have met and the one who helped you acquiring this much of strength in such a small period of time .
Hearing what the old man in front of me was saying, I couldn't help but look strangely at him as if he gone mad, what logs of the ancestors, what ascending to the Emperor Realm, what is even the Venerable Realm, is that another name for The Grand Emperor Realm, I who already heard about the struggles of the demon race from Lido, how was that they had such a method, yet no one was aware of .
No Lido might have been aware of this as well, else he wouldn't have gone through all that troubles to acquire that method before, but I still can't think of any other way to explain the words of the family head as nothing but the words spouted by a crazy person, if that was indeed what the method does, then shouldn't the Demon race had much a higher standing in the Real World .
I can tell that you don't believe me, but everything I said just now was indeed true, I'm not also talking about the history that was logged since the Demon Emperor ascended the throne, I'm taking about much longer time prior to this taking place, the Demon race was once upon time the strongest powerhouse in the Real World .
Our Dorell family was also one of the pillars that supported the rise of the Demon race, by birthing a family star and fortune, Gorex was his name, not long ago your battle form shadow had skirmished with the image he left behind when he was at the peak of the Ruler Realm and you actually overtook him which was already enough for us who were present at that time to acknowledge your bloodline and strength .

He ventured deep into some forbidden zone called Tower Of Demise, currently stationed in the heart of Crying Ghost Domain, this domain is under the control of the Soul Race, back then no one had even heard about such a race, the Tower is still there to our current time, Gorex managed to acquire this Mind Nourishing Method and the information related to it there, he kept the method exclusively for his and his own family use .
But unfortunately, none of the family members at that time were as bright as Gorex, so in the end and after he was pressured by the other families, he handed over the method for all Demons to use in exchange for the family's state to rise above all others, since he was the one with the strongest fist, no one to take his words slightly and the matter was settled .

Anyone that was stronger than a Ruler level powerhouse had disappeared and never have been heard of since then, then due to the way Demons had treated the other races, they only left us only A Ruler level powerhouse, only one, see how great we were back then, I'm not clear about how many eons ago was that, but our current demon race sure had suffered a lot .
