Chapter 409 - Chapter 408: Zixiao Palace

The warmth of Himeko's tongue entangled mine. The sticky and sloppy sensation woke up my fading consciousness. Unlike the others, she possessed some degree of experience when it comes to kissing. Unfortunately for her, it's not as high as mine.

The weight of her entire body is pressed down onto my chest. Both her palms supported her voluptuous body, with her chest pressing against mine. To my surprise, the softness it possessed was unparalleled. It was completely unlike Theresa's that wore a bra or so…

She's not wearing anything underneath?!

This notion made me pause. Himeko seemed unsatisfied with my actions as she caught up to where I left her on. Her crimson irises narrowed down in satisfaction, meeting my gaze head-on. I could feel her turning more enthusiastic as time passed by.

Inevitably, the combination of everything woke up my arousal. My little dragon woke up from its slumber. It attempted to push against her buttocks hard, but to no avail. Its actions made Himeko jolt, her face turning red instantly. Her heartbeats grew more rapid. Coldness assaulted her palms. Her originally teasing look became uncertain.

Knowing it is inappropriate to continue any further, I knocked her out. Himeko lost consciousness and fell right atop me. I relaxed upon seeing her sleep. The effects of the spirit wine finally began to take place. Amidst the tempering of spiritual qi is the drowsiness.

For the first time in a long while, I slept…

Ding-!

Hum-!

I woke up to the sound of a bell's chime. The drowsiness at the depths of my soul receded in an instant. My mind instantly snapped awake. Crumbs of dissatisfaction rose within my heart, to which I suppressed.

Upon opening my eyes, I was greeted by a vast blue sky. I am so used to seeing the endless dark void it briefly caught me off guard for a second. I projected my mind externally, scanning the thousands upon thousands of kilometers of clear blue sky. The solar system does not have a planet with a sky this huge. I thought of the worlds mentioned within the cultivation techniques I inherited.

Though there are no direct mentions of experiences and the likes, I occasionally came across mentions of a 'Perfection' mastery movement technique spanning the 'thirty-six heavens' in a single step. There are also descriptions of planets so huge they are called 'heavenly realms'. There are also 'planes' that are so big that their landmass spans the entirety of the solar system, if not more.

In simpler terms, this is not a world I am familiar with.

Swoosh-!

Pale green gusts of wind swept through my daoist robes. A faint white light emerged on their surface. These are no ordinary clothing, but a peak seventh-grade spiritual treasure. Its activation meant it found the gust of winds threatening enough. It is something that shouldn't have happened in the solar system, cementing the fact that I might be in a different world.

I continued to make my way across the vast blue sky. The ever-growing concentration of spiritual qi took my attention. The presence of spiritual qi indicated there is a spirit vein. The concentration at my current position is roughly that of a seventh-grade spirit vein. To my surprise, it continued to grow higher as I moved towards its hypothetical center.

At this instant, I finally managed to reach the pinnacle of my speed. My surroundings changed way faster than light. The sensation of being able to fly freely in such an open space brought a temporary sense of liberation. Soon, I am forced to stop my flight. The concentration of spiritual qi reached its highest; the eighth grade.

In front of me is an Earth-sized palace. A set of staircases laid down onto the ground. Ascending it leads to a palace that glows bright purple. Gray brick walls surrounded a two-storey pagoda palace in its center. The purple glow intertwined with bright gold atop the pagoda's roof. It is easily the most luxurious 'palace' I have seen throughout my lifetime.

Most importantly…

It's an eighth-grade artifact at the very least.

For a moment, I felt doubtful. I could vividly remember sleeping along with Himeko in her house. I never felt any indicators of it being an illusion. Everything is as real as it could be based on my Void Refinement Realm senses.

Hold on.

How the hell did I overlook the Path of Remembrance?

If immortal cultivation did not work, I would have opted to use Remembrance in an instant. The only reason why I would never do so is that… something is affecting my mind. The faint chill in my spine came and went as it pleased.

Using Remembrance, I finally noticed something wrong in this place. Barring the fact that the Path of Remembrance is stronger than usual, I caught onto a concept. This place does not exist within the past nor the present, but the future. I am currently stepping on the 'future'... which is impossible given my current realm.

Then it dawned on me.

Future projections.

These are things that could interact with the present. For instance, anyone with a guaranteed shot at becoming a Dao Integration Realm is met by one. Their futures' power is so strong it tangibly affects the present world. What I never expected is to see an entire world formed out of a future projection. The magnitude of power required to manifest this cannot be done at the Dao Integration Realm.

It could only be the Tribulation Transcendence Realm or…

The True Immortal Realm.

I pushed these thoughts aside as I made my way to the staircase. Every step brought the feeling of insignificance along with a kind of intangible pressure weighing one's soul. It is a typical trial staircase employed in many cultivation worlds. I made my way through these in a trifle.

The moment I stepped atop the palace's entrance, I saw an extremely large plaque hung above the palace hall's main door, which states—

Zixiao Palace.

This time, several cultivation techniques popped up. All of them are tied to this place. Coupled with the mythologies I knew from Earth, the origin of this place became clear.

It is none other than the preaching ground of the Dao Ancestor, Hongjun.
