Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction, had appeared beside Whis without anyone noticing.
"Lord Beerus, you will certainly find him interesting. He is the genuine legend, the Super Saiyan God. He must be the rival from your prophetic dream," Whis said with a smile.
"Hmph. He really is the Super Saiyan God. I will take him on myself shortly," Beerus declared.
This was his true destined rival; in his dreams, they had fought on equal footing countless times.
Kratos glanced at the humanoid hairless cat standing before him. In their universe, this creature would be classified as nothing less than a filthy Xenos.
"What are you staring at, brat?" Beerus dug a finger into his ear and looked at Kratos. He detected a hint of contempt, or perhaps discrimination, in the boy's gaze.
"Hmph! Xenos. You are unworthy of fighting my father. I alone am enough to deal with you," Kratos scoffed coldly.
His Lord Father had specifically instructed him not to steal his two opponents, the ones who turned their hair blue, but this hairless cat did not seem to be part of that arrangement. He should be fair game.
Besides, the creature was a detestable Xenos.
"Oi, oi, kid. That word, 'Xenos'... it doesn't sound like a compliment," Beerus said, his expression darkening.
"Then how about I call you a hairless cat? If you don't like it, come here and fight me one-on-one," Kratos challenged.
He was perfectly mimicking his father's method of provocation. Father always said: if you want a fight, just instigate it!
"H-Hairless cat?! Damn it! You brat, I will destroy you!" Beerus's eyes narrowed instantly as he spoke ferociously.
"Oh my! Lord Beerus, please show mercy. This boy isn't a villain; he did protect this planet earlier. Just teach him a lesson, don't be too heavy-handed," Whis interjected.
This boy was crucial; he wasn't from this universe, so Beerus couldn't simply erase him.
"Hmph! I know. I'll just use him to warm up. Follow me, brat," Beerus said.
Tch! Hairless cat, is it? I'm going to beat the literal shit out of this kid! Let's see if he dares say 'hairless cat' again.
"Then I'll teach you a lesson, you hairless cat!" Kratos sneered, following Beerus as they flew toward a different battlefield.

Meanwhile, Axis was unaware that his son was provoking a God of Destruction, mainly because he was currently having the time of his life.
Bang! Bang, bang! Boom! Boom!
The entire sky seemed to fracture as two blue silhouettes and one golden-green figure collided incessantly mid-air.
Axis was surprised to discover that the two opponents he had been crushing were growing rapidly.
From being unable to parry at the start, they were now barely managing to block his attacks through coordination.
Hah! This is what Saiyans are! Improving constantly through battle.
Axis increased his power output once again. A golden-green aura erupted like a jet stream, blue lightning crawled across his body, and his hair stood even sharper. He engaged Legendary Super Saiyan Mode combined with Super Saiyan 2.
After transforming, Axis's combat power doubled again, suppressing Goku and Vegeta once more.
"Damn it! Just how strong is this guy?"
"Hey! Can't you hold back a little?" Goku showed a trace of helplessness before being disoriented by a straight punch from Axis.
"I am holding back!"
After a brutal pummeling, Goku and Vegeta were left covered in cuts and bruises. Countless bones were broken, and they had entered a near-death state.
These two haven't used the bugged Saiyan skill of 'Zenkai boost' in a long time, have they?

Axis pulled out two Fruit of the Tree of Might and roughly stuffed them into Vegeta and Goku's mouths.
These were the First Generation Golden Fruit of the Tree of Might, the best version currently available.

Goku and Vegeta swallowed the fruits. They opened their eyes simultaneously; their injuries had completely healed, and their combat power surged explosively.
"Alright, come at me! Like real men. To be honest, I've never used the Saiyan passive skill of rising power after near-death recovery. I beg you two, can you put in a little more effort and let me experience it? I really want to know what it feels like to be beaten half to death," Axis said with an extremely punchable expression.
"Damn you! You bastard." Vegeta glared furiously at Axis. The taunt was maximized.
It was obvious Axis did this because he felt he and Goku weren't strong enough.
He wanted to force their strength to the next level so he could enjoy the fight. It was typical Saiyan behavior! Vegeta knew because he used to do the exact same thing, like the time he let Cell absorb the Androids and then messed everything up.
"Sorry about that. It seems our strength wasn't enough to make you go all out. But after recovering from the brink of death, a Saiyan's power increases drastically. From here on out, Vegeta and I are going to change everything," Goku said, standing up and stretching his body.
He hadn't felt this post-recovery power boost since fighting Frieza. He had almost forgotten Saiyans had this ability.
"We are all Saiyans. You know my nature, and you know what I want. So, don't be polite, hit me with everything you've got!" Axis shouted.
"Then we won't hold back. Axis, thanks to you, I can finally test a technique I've been wanting to use," Son Goku said.
"Kakarot, were you hiding another move? You didn't use it earlier," Vegeta said from the side, looking dissatisfied.
"Sorry! Sorry! Vegeta, I couldn't perfect it before; the burden on the body was too great. But not anymore. Thanks to Axis helping me recover from near-death, my physical condition is strong enough to handle it now," Goku explained.
"What technique is it?" Vegeta frowned.
"It's a move I learned a long time ago. You were the first to witness its true power back then! Kaio-ken! HAA!"
Goku clenched his fists. His aura surged, and a layer of crimson energy wrapped around the blue spiritual pressure.
This red energy was not the power of the Super Saiyan God, but the power of the Kaio-ken.
Seeing this technique, Vegeta's thoughts were pulled back over a decade to when he first arrived on Earth. That was when he lost to this low-class warrior for the first time, starting his eternal chase.
"Nice, very nice. How many times can you multiply it now?" Axis asked, his eyes gleaming as he looked at the Kaio-ken.
That move was brilliant. After the fight, he had to find a way to steal it; a technique that multiplied combat power was incredibly valuable.
"By my estimate, the limit is twenty times. That should be enough to satisfy you," Goku said.
This was originally the trump card he had prepared for Beerus.
"I see. I understand. So, Vegeta, do you have any new moves? As the Prince of all Saiyans, surely you have more than just this?" Axis asked.
"Damn it! You bastard... Just watch! I'll make you witness my greatness soon enough!" Vegeta shouted in rage.
Although he didn't want to admit it, he really hadn't developed any powerful new techniques in recent years.
A smirk touched Axis's lips. Vegeta should be able to push the Super Saiyan Blue transformation further, evolving into a darker "Deep Blue" state. He just needed to provoke the haughty prince a bit more.
"Come on!" Axis shouted.
The ground beneath his feet shattered instantly as he launched himself forward, blasting a fist toward Kakarot.
However, this time there was no overwhelming suppression. Axis's fist was caught firmly by Goku's single hand.
"Axis, don't look down on me. I'm a Saiyan too. You should know best about the boost after surviving near-death," Goku chuckled. He leaped up along Axis's arm and kicked Axis squarely in the face.
Axis was sent flying, crashing through several mountain peaks before stopping.
That kick had good weight to it!
Axis wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. As expected, the protagonist of the Dragon Ball world would never disappoint.
After stabilizing his stance, Axis raised his power further. His hair grew explosively long, and his eyebrows disappeared. He entered Legendary Super Saiyan 3 mode.
Two figures—one red, one blue—charged at him again.
They exchanged blows fiercely with Axis. Vegeta and Goku's coordination was seamless; one attacked while the other defended. It was near-perfect combat. Even in Legendary Super Saiyan 3 form, Axis could only fight them to a draw for a moment.
As time passed, the two began to adapt to his attacks, faintly gaining the upper hand.
"Hahaha! Good! Good! Then let me show you another form." Axis forced the two back. He began a further transformation.
Crimson light flashed as red fur covered his upper body. A tail whipped behind him, his hair turned black, and red eyeshadow appeared around his eyes.
It was a transformation filled with primal wildness and raw power.
"What... What is this?" Vegeta asked, his face filled with shock.
"This is Super Saiyan 4. It releases the most primal power of a Saiyan, obtained by channeling the Great Ape transformation. If you want to learn it, I can teach you," Axis said.
Vegeta could maintain his reason even as a Great Ape. Theoretically, if he transformed into a Great Ape now, he could become a Super Saiyan 4, or perhaps go even further.
