He would know the answer soon enough. The Omega Force was the pinnacle power of the DC Universe, a solid multiversal-level force.
The Omega Cosmo in the Saint Seiya world was likewise a multiversal-level power. In the battle against Saturn's Transcendent Incarnation, aside from lacking the attribute of immortality, its combat strength had been essentially on par with a Transcendent God.
Axis's strongest power at present was the might of a God of Destruction, and reaching multiversal level through the God of Destruction's power alone would prove rather difficult.
Obtaining Mazahs's ability in the DC Universe could be considered his greatest harvest.
Truth be told, Axis had previously considered whether he should simply kill Grail and then use his power to seize her Omega Force, but after some thought he had abandoned the idea.
First, as a Saiyan, he could not shamelessly bring himself to deal with a woman, even if she was an exceptionally ferocious goddess.
Second, the Omega Force of the DC Universe had serious problems to it. Darkseid had even been able to use that power to perform soul possession.
These two reasons caused Axis to give up on taking the shortcut to obtain the Omega Force. In another universe, however, such concerns would not apply.
Axis's gaze turned toward Ultraman.
"I know you are searching for a powerful goddess, but Grail is one you cannot subdue. We shall discuss the matter again when you encounter a suitable one later," Axis said.
He recalled that there was also a Goddess of Love and Tragedy in the Omega world. He could pair that Goddess of Love and Tragedy with Ultraman, so long as the man was capable of winning her over.
Ultraman voiced no objection to Axis's words, but Grail was rather itching to give it a try. She had now comprehended the divine Cosmo as well, and very much wanted to test herself against Ultraman to redeem the humiliation of her earlier defeat.
Over the following several days, Axis employed the power of the Underworld Lord to resurrect the Underworld army. He required a batch of cannon fodder warriors at present.
This group of Specters made for a good choice. As for the fact that they served Hades, please, how many Specters had actually laid eyes on Hades?
With Thanatos and Hypnos, along with the Goddess of Vengeance, serving as his backing, no one would dare voice any objection.
Using Underworld black gemstone, together with portions of Orichalcum and stardust sand, Axis mass-produced Specter Surplices of the Heavenly and Terrestrial ranks.
He ensured these suits of armor reached the Gold Cloth standard in terms of hardness and abilities. As for Ultraman and Grail, Axis provided them with various materials and had them forge their own armor.
The Emperor of Mankind did the same. Using this world's special materials combined with his own divine blood, he forged a God Cloth of his own.
Aside from the Cosmo, which was this world's specialty, the Cloth was also an extraordinarily formidable weapon. This item was vastly superior to power armor.
What was more, it could be passed down through generations. To speak honestly, the Emperor felt that this power called Cosmo suited humanity exceedingly well.
"Axis, this power called Cosmo is truly marvelous, and the methods for training this Cosmo are what matter most, particularly the training regimen of the Gold Saints," the Emperor remarked with feeling after he had mastered all of the Saint training methods.
The myriad worlds of the heavens did indeed hold infinite opportunities and infinite fortuitous encounters. He and Axis had only traveled through two worlds together, and already he had witnessed far too many things.
"The training methods of the Saints are truly remarkable. Bronze and Silver Saints using the sixth sense are actually fairly simple to train. Though Gold Saints are rare, so long as the training population base is sufficient, the probability of producing Gold Saints is still quite high," Axis said.
"What a pity, Axis. We no longer need such things. Or rather, humanity ought to develop on its own.
"Bringing this power called Cosmo back to our universe would only invite unnecessary troubles instead." The Emperor sighed as he spoke.
Had he obtained the training methods of the Gold Saints during the Great Crusade era, he would have treasured them as priceless. He would have immediately arranged for his Custodians, striving to bring every single one of them up to the level of a Gold Saint.
Speaking purely of physical constitution, not to mention the Custodians, even ordinary Space Marines possessed bodies stronger than that of a Saint. But the Cosmo was simply too game-breaking.
Yet now this power was no longer a good thing for humanity. It could indeed greatly enhance human combat strength, but did humanity still have any opponents left?
With himself serving as the power behind the throne, and with Axis at their side, there was no longer any race capable of threatening humanity's development and survival.
It was already a blessing that humanity was not going around bullying other xenos races. Moreover, the destructive power of the Cosmo was far too great.
A Gold Saint going all-out was capable of destroying an entire planet. Earth had not been destroyed only because of the blessing of Gaia, the Primordial Goddess.
The other gods had also laid blessings upon Earth, which was why the planet had become so unshakably sturdy.
But he and Axis had no way to bless and reinforce every planet in an entire universe. If the Warhammer universe were truly to give rise to countless warriors possessing the Cosmo, it would be a disaster for the entire universe.
Destroying a planet would no longer be any difficult matter. This was also the reason Axis had not allowed ki energy to erupt within the Warhammer universe.
With Axis's current divine power, he could have made ki appear within the Warhammer universe if he so wished. Centered on himself, he could have created an entirely new power, much as Saint Gillies had done.
But a power capable of destroying planets, especially one that allowed ordinary people to destroy planets once they had cultivated it, was far too dangerous.
For now, it would be best for humanity simply to focus on developing their technology. When humanity had mastered the ability to destroy an entire galaxy, or even multiple galaxies, one would have no choice but to impose certain restrictions.
In the past the Emperor had only been able to consider matters from humanity's perspective, but now he had learned to view things from a god's perspective.
For mortals to wield powers that were too dangerous was not always a good thing.
"Once my strength has grown great enough in the future, I could even seal off the technological level of an entire universe. Such matters can wait until I become a multiversal-level existence," Axis said with a sigh.
For a single race to develop into a god-tier civilization was still unrealistic. Humanity's reproductive capacity was simply too rapid. Neither an entire universe nor even a multiverse could bear it.
"So long as our race flourishes and prospers, that is enough. And once you obtain multiversal-level power, perhaps you could even create a universe of your own," the Emperor said.
"In theory I could do so even now, only I have not mastered the method," Axis replied, shrugging helplessly.
His current strength was only a slight step behind that of an Absolute God. If he could successfully create his own universe, then he would directly be upgraded to Absolute God, reaching the level of a top-tier universal deity
"This coming operation is of vital importance to you. It concerns whether you can become a multiversal-level existence. I shall do everything in my power to assist you," the Emperor said.
What Axis had done for him was simply too much. That debt of gratitude could never be fully repaid even across eternity. He had to help Axis, had to help him truly become a multiversal-level existence, so that his own universe would be safe and he would no longer need to worry that some tremendously powerful existence might destroy their universe.
"I know, father-in-law. This time you need only help me keep watch on that God of Time, Kairos. He is the greatest variable," Axis said with a nod.
"I understand. Rest assured, that fellow's strength is merely that of a Tertiary God. Although by relying on the power of time he can even toy with certain Secondary Gods,
"Before me he has no capacity for resistance whatsoever. Do not forget that I am a Primordial God," the Emperor said, his face filled with confidence.
"If I succeed in obtaining his divine time authority, then when growing divine fruits in the future, perhaps I shall no longer need to wait several thousand years.
"I shall only need to adjust the flow of time, to accelerate it a little," Axis said.
What divine fruits truly consumed was pure energy, much like how Tree Of Might absorbed the power of an entire planet.
When they were growing the divine fruits, they had mobilized enormous amounts of energy, filtering and purifying them before injecting it into the God tree..
But the High Priest had merely waved his hand, and the number of fruits had increased to nine, with their quality greatly enhanced as well.
After an entire month of recuperation and preparation, Axis had at last made every necessary arrangement. Based on the intelligence provided by Icarus,
Axis employed his power to traverse worlds and successfully arrived in another universe.
This was also the world of the Saints, yet more than twenty years had already passed since the end of the Holy War here.
Over a decade ago, the goddess Athena had led her Saints into battle against Mars, the God of War. The true mastermind behind this god was in fact Apsu, the God of Darkness.
Unfortunately, in this battle Athena could be said to have been defeated. Even her Sanctuary, the Twelve Houses of the Zodiac, was occupied.
Thankfully, a new generation of Saints had risen up and launched a new Battle of the Twelve Houses. In the end, the newborn Pegasus had awakened a sleeping Saint.
The previous incarnation of the Pegasus constellation, this generation's Sagittarius Gold Saint, Seiya. Then this young man had inexplicably defeated an Absolute God.
"My Pegasus actually defeated a god?"
Upon first learning of this world's history, Athena's face was filled with utter bewilderment. She had absolutely not anticipated that her Saint could reach such a level.
How could this possibly be a victory? How could this be allowed to be a victory? It was as though someone were telling her that an ordinary human had defeated a seventh-sense Gold Saint.
No, it was even more absurd than that. It would be like an ordinary human defeating Poseidon or Hades.
The gap between humans and gods was vast indeed. Even if the Pegasus constellation had comprehended the eighth sense and awakened his own God Cloth, when facing a god, even merely a Tier One God, his chances of victory would be slim.
Yet after donning the Sagittarius Gold Cloth, he had actually struck down an Absolute God. Such a preposterous, outrageous thing had truly happened.
"Hahaha, this is exactly why I said the Pegasus constellation is truly the most precious drop of water. In fact, we could cultivate a Pegasus constellation in that universe ourselves." Regarding Axis's coming to this universe, Kairos actually held some reservations.
According to his plan, they should have first waged war upon that world's Olympus, slain the Olympian gods, and cultivated the power of the Pegasus constellation.
The Pegasus could then have reached a level capable of dealing with Transcendent Gods. But Axis had said that this universe's Pegasus had already attained that level, and so it was simpler just to make use of this world's Pegasus directly.
The problem was that Kairos kept feeling that something was not quite right. Yet now the two parties were in a cooperative relationship, and the divine power he required had to be provided by the other.
"Fortunately you did not bring the Gold Saints and my Bronze Saints along. Otherwise, in this world they would have no way to raise a hand against their other selves," Athena said.
After learning that Axis intended to wage war upon another world, she had wanted to bring her Saint legion with her, but had been stopped by Axis.
According to Axis, this time they were to come as villains and had no need of bringing righteous Saints along.
Asking Saints to play villains would cause their combat ability to plummet to freezing point. Specters fared far better in this regard. They were born to play the villain.
"Athena, how do you intend to proceed? Do you have a plan for this time?" Axis turned to look at his wife and asked.
As the Goddess of Wisdom, she was of exceptional quality when it came to intelligence. Matters requiring mental work were things Axis simply threw over to his wife.
"I already have a rough plan. Let us do it this way, Axis. First, you shall play the Underworld Lord of another world, but not Hades the Underworld Lord. You shall still be yourself, Axis.
"And I shall play an Athena of another world, which is to say, myself. In another world I was defeated by you and thereafter became your Consort. What do you think of this arrangement?" Athena said.
"That poses no problem. The one hundred and eight Specters have all been resurrected, and I have mass-produced a great number of Specters besides."
"Afterward... we shall do this... and this, and then... like so. According to my estimation, in the end you may even have the chance to slay the Absolute God Apsu and seize his Absolute God power." This final sentence was conveyed to Axis through divine sense transmission.
Some matters could not be allowed to reach Kairos's ears, especially the matter of Axis being able to slay opponents and seize their power.
"Is Apsu not already dead?"
"What are you thinking of? How could an Absolute God die so easily? An existence that even Primordial Gods cannot slay. Do you believe a Gold Saint, even one who has comprehended the eighth sense, could manage it?
"My estimation is that the Absolute God at the time must have been in a weakened state. That is why he was defeated."
