The first thing to disappear was the black line in Aurelia's eyes.
It did not fade.
It moved.
It slid down through the golden iris, crossed the corner of her eye, and emerged beneath her skin as an extremely thin thread that began traveling across her face.
Aurelia grabbed her own chest.
Ester caught her before she fell.
"Pulse spiking."
Damon moved forward.
"Dominion is entering her?"
"No," Aurelia replied through clenched teeth. "It's removing what I put into it."
Xue Lian became serious.
"What restriction exactly?"
Aurelia raised her eyes.
The gold was already visible beneath her skin.
"An impossibility."
Damon frowned.
"That explains nothing."
"Dominion was created to possess."
"You just said you kept it ownerless."
"Exactly."
Another wave passed through Aurelia.
She screamed.
The golden lines of the capsule responded and began connecting to her body.
Damon looked at the point on his arm.
The small mark was doing the same thing.
Two ends.
One function.
