Feeling kinda bummed that for the past couple of days I couldn't plow, till or plant fields because of the heavy rain my area is currently experiencing.
So I decide to borrow my little brother's Xbox to play Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: 2
Staying up all through the night completing the main story and the side missions taking a little less than eight hours.
'Well, that was a nice bit of nostalgia…' mentally sighing as I set the controller down only for a strange pop-up to appear on the screen.
[Press the Xbox button to become one with the Force.]
"Maybe this is some kinda add for that new The Mandalorian and Grogue movie…" I hum and hold down the Xbox button, there's no warning before the Xbox controller explodes in my face.
[Hello Youngling, I see that you have completed the test I embedded into the game and have accepted my offer to become one with the Force. You are about to be transmigrated into a custom Star Wars Cinematic/Cartoon universe with a system that pretty much turns you into Starkiller (Galen Marek) though your appearance will be that of a late teens early twenties Alex Pettyfer. You will have all the gear you have collected in game, yes even the DLC content plus I'm adding in some additional things like Force Slow, Blaster Skills, etc. your ranks will be reset to zero and you will have to grind your way back to the top. You can learn the traditional way or you can drop the points you get into your skill tree, talents etc. Oh and you can summon the Rogue Shadow to you, it won't look like the ship you know as I hated the design and changed it to look like X-70B Phantom. The ship will have a Captain who will look like Scarlett Johansson but with a thicker build. you know bigger tits, wider hips, thicker thighs, rounded bubble butt, but narrow waist, and red hair she is completely in love with and devoted to you she won't have a problem with how many women you screw or have romantic relationships with. The ship will have Proxy of course, a Holodeck training room, a contingent of 8 Phase 3 Dark Troopers fully loyal to you. And a skilled medical/surgeon droid in the medbay.] I finish reading the pop-up and then everything goes black.
I feel like I'm suspended in a warm pool that fully submerges my body, there's a tube down my throat and some kind of mask over my face.
I try to open my eyes but warm clear fluid that is just about as thick and viscous as warm 5W-30 motor oil. Which makes me snap my eyelids shut. I realize that there's no stinging pain.
Suddenly a H.U.D forms in my vision, there are a couple of bars at the top right corner of my vision.
[Rank: Accolyte/Youngling]
Concentrating my attention on the rank bar a small description pops up. [Rank tells you where you currently are in terms of Power, Mastery and Skills compared to say a more traditionally trained Jedi or Sith. Your Rank will increase as your skill, power and abilities improve. (Rank doesn't take into account your talents.)]
'Interesting…better than an actual level up system but…I think the ranks are too broad and a generalizing system that is lacking in pinpointing someone's individual skills/abilities. Take Anakin during The Attack of the Clones movie. He only held the rank of Padawan, but he still put up a pretty decent fight against Dooku who had been a high counsel seated Jedi Master.'
[FPP: 0/100%]
Redirecting my attention to FPP a textbox appears with an explanation.
[F.P.P, or Force Points Percentage, F.P.P, is increased through the collection of Spheres, Spheres can be collected by defeating enemies, training, completing jobs, destroying objects, helping people or fixing objects. Once this bar reaches 100% you will receive 3 Spheres, which can be used to increase or learn new things such as increasing your vitality, damage output, and force abilities or learning how to perform a mind trick, or not stab yourself with your lightsaber(s).]
[Health: 100/100%]
This is the measure of your physical well-being, your health will drop when you take damage, Health negates certain physical damages while within its higher percentages. For example, say you are fighting against a lightsaber wielding opponent and you have full health but their attack would amputate a body part that is not your head. You won't lose that body part unless your health percentage is below 50%. But say that your opponent was able to cut off your head you will die instantly. Physical injuries will not appear on your body unless your health percentage falls below 50% at any health level below 75% you will start feeling muscle strain and tiredness. To keep your health up, eat meals and get restful sleep or use the skill Battle Meditation.
[Fury: 0/100%]
My concentration shifts to the final bar Fury.
[Fury is gained through causing destruction, mayhem and tanking attacks, when fury is activated you become an immortal/invulnerable embodiment of death, destruction and mayhem like a Viking Berserker of legend.]
[Would you like to enter Meditation to make changes to your Force Powers, General/Combat skills or Talents?]
[Yes/No]
Channeling my attention and concentration into yes the menu that looks straight out of the Force Unleashed 2 except for the changes in the mini menus is now.
[General/Combat] [Force Powers] [Physical/Spiritual]
Concentrating on the General/Combat mini menus it opens right up.
There is a list of Combat Moves and Skills, the first one is Basic Lightsaber Wielding which has only one blue orb for rank and the word max underneath it.
[General/Combat]
-Lightsaber Combat: (1: At rank one you are moderately capable of using a lightsaber in combat against non-force or weak force users.) (2: At rank two you are capable of fighting a moderately skilled Jedi Knight or Sith Apprentice in Lightsaber Combat.) (3: At rank three you are able to fight on par with lightsaber combatants of high to Master Calibers.)
Block/Parry: (1: At rank one you can block most light blaster rounds, and light lightsaber strikes.) (2: At rank two you can block light and medium blaster fire, and medium to light lightsaber strikes.) (3: At rank three you can block light, medium, heavy and ultra heavy blaster blaster rounds, and similar lightsaber attacks.)
-Redirect: (1: At rank one you can redirect some of the blaster bolts you block with your lightsaber.) (2: At rank two you can redirect most of the blaster bolts that are shot at you.) (3: At rank three not only can you block all blaster bolts shot at you but you can also split the bolts so that the shots you redirect can damage more enemies.)
-Dodge/Evasion: (1: At rank one you can dodge, weave and just generally evade some of the attacks that come your way.) (2: At rank two you can dodge, weave and just generally evade most of the attacks that come your way.) (3: At rank three you move like water flowing through the tiniest of cracks, it is near impossible for any physical attacks to land on you.)
-Dash: (1:At rank one you can burst forward in a short and fast explosion of movement.) (2: At rank two Dash speed and range are increased and you unlock Jump Dash which is useful in many areas.) (3: At rank three Dash speed and range increase even further.)
-Jump: (1: At rank one jump allows you to jump roughly ten feet in the air.) (2: At rank two you can now jump one more time while reaching the height limit of a normal jump.) (3: At rank three you can now jump a third time while reaching the height limit of a double jump.)
-CQC: (1: At rank one you become proficient enough to beat up average fighters in close quarters while using your environment to your advantage.) (2: At rank two you become proficient enough to beat up and kill intermittently skilled fighters in close quarters while using your environment to your advantage.) (3: At rank three you become proficient enough to beat up and kill Master Combatants in close quarters while using your environment to your advantage.)
-Blasters: (1: At rank one you gain enough skill to handle and be reasonably accurate with the various types of blasters, without the risk of shooting yourself and unintended targets.) (2: At rank two you can give most military trained shooters a run for their money.) (3: At rank three you reach a proficiency that most sharpshooters would be envious of and are even able to shoot blaster rounds out of the air with your blaster or blasters.)
-Piloting: (1: At rank one you can do a halfway decent job of flying, driving and landing anything from speeders, fighter to large freight barges.) (2: At rank two you can not only just fly and land anything from a fighter to a large freight barge, but you are on the same level as someone from Rogue Squadron.) (3: At rank three you are a pilot on par with Anakin Skywalker though you are less likely to crash, but any crash landing you have you will walk away from.)
-Mechanic/Tech Repair: (1: At rank one you have an intuitive ability to find and identify problems within mechanical and electrical systems.) (2: At rank two you develop an innate sense of finding issues, errors and weaknesses in coding and have the intuition based ability to exploit or repair them.) (3: At rank three all manner of technology seems to whisper to you, and when you whisper back they seem to mystically do what you need them too. Even if it shouldn't be physically possible.)
Seeing as there doesn't seem to be anything underneath Combat and General I move onto the Physical and Spiritual aspect of the character menu.
[Physical/Spiritual]
-Fortitude: Increases your character's maximum health pool while also providing an increased innate resistance to basic damages and elemental factors. (1) (2) (3)
-Force Focus: Amplifies your offensive Force powers, allowing them to deal more damage or hit more effectively. (1) (2) (3)
-Force Affinity: Enhances your connection to mystical energy, increasing your total Force/mana pool and allowing your abilities to recharge much faster. (1) (2) (3)
-Vitality: Boosts your overall survivability, by increasing your healing regeneration passively. (1) (2) (3)
-Resilience: Acts as a damage mitigation stat, reducing the damage you take from every enemy hit or projectile. (1) (2) (3)
Not seeing anything else underneath Physical and Spiritual I move onto Force Powers.
[Force Powers]
-Force Slow: Slows time within a certain area around your body for a given amount of time which you could use as a window to escape, strike an enemy or whatever else.
[(1)] (2) (3)
'My Force Slow ability is already at rank one.' Concentrating my attention on the already highlighted rank one. A small text box appears. [At rank one Force Slow lasts for three seconds, but while experiencing this effect it will feel like a minute to you.]
-Force Push: Used to blast enemies away and destroy obstacles. [(1)] (2) (3)
-Force Pull: Used to pull enemies and objects towards you. [(1)] (2) (3)
-Force Barrier: Allows the user to form a wall or dome of force energy around themselves, allies, or enemies. (1) (2) (3)
-Force Lightning: Shocks and stuns groups of enemies. [(1)] (2) (3)
-Force Grip: You can use it on objects and people. To grab and lift them off the ground, throw them on the ground, at an object, or against the wall, or choke them to death. At higher ranks force grip can even be used to crush objects and people.
[(1)] (2) (3)
-Force Repulse: Allows the user to gather the Force within themselves and release it in a devastating, spherical shockwave that obliterates enemies or launches them back. (1) (2) (3)
-Force Imbue: This ability is one that covers many facets, used by ancient force wielders to not only imbue themselves with superhuman strength, speed, durability and resistance. But they also used it to make weapons, armor and other accessories stronger and more durable. (1) (2) (3)
-Lightsaber Throw: Throws your weapons like a boomerang. [(1)] (2) (3)
-Mind Trick: Confuses enemies, forcing them to fight for you or jump off ledges, or believe what you tell them. [(1)] (2) (3)
-Force Sense: Concentrate on your connection to the force and it will not only guide you through the most efficient path to complete your goals, but at higher ranks it will allow you to sense emotions, intentions and hidden things. [(1)] (2) (3)
-Meditation: Allows you to recoup health at a higher than average rate. At higher ranks this can be used in battle.
-Animal Bond: Ability to control animals in various ways, such as a mount or guard beast. (Requires Force Sense at atleast Rank 2 to be effective.) (1) (2) (3)
-Force Heal: You can heal yourself and others through channeling your connection to the force into a physical being. (Force Sense Rank 2 required.)
Feeling a bit of a headache coming on from a list that never seems to end I back out of Force Meditation.
"Starkiller…?" A woman's voice that vaguely sounds familiar calls out to me.
I open my eyes only to be blinded by a bright white light hanging over my head, I'm no longer submerged in that fluid I can only guess to be Bacta.
I'm laying on a flat metal table with a small foam pillow underneath my head.
Soon the head of someone leans over me and blocks out the light, the face is that of Scarlett Johansson back during Ironman 2 with wavy long red hair, that perfectly frames her face.
At the sight of her it's like a door in the back of my head opens and a flood of memories flows through my brain like water from a pipe.
"Captain Juno Eclipse?" At my question a somewhat hurt expression crosses her face.
"Yup, that's me Captain Juno Eclipse…your expendable pilot!" Juno offers with a strained smile as tears start building up in the corners of her eyes.
Sitting up, reaching behind Juno's head I sink a hand into her soft red hair and pull her into a kiss.
Our lips smacking against each other, our tongues probing each other's mouths. Juno interlocks her arms behind my neck, the make out session goes on until we're both breathless and gasping.
Once we break the mutual kiss Juno presses her face into the crook of my neck. While leaning into me, her body fits between my spread legs that are hanging off of the side of the table.
"Status report, Captain Eclipse." I bark out a command which makes a soft laugh leave Juno.
"After our hyperdrive computer malfunctioned and you used the force to navigate us through the chaos. We ended up back in real space. You seemed to take an extreme amount of internal damage from whatever you did to save us. So with Proxy's help I got you into the Bacta tank. While you have been recuperating, I connected to what I thought was an extremely outdated hyperlink relay station. But have since come to find out that we have traveled back in time to fourteen years before the Empire was founded on the ashes of the Republic."
"Fourteen years…"
'That would put us at 33 BBY, maybe a year before the Invasion of Naboo?'
"Yup, fourteen years…" Juno murmurs back with a bit of concern leaking into her voice.
"I see and it's just you, Proxy and I aboard this ship, right?"
"Wrong, your memories must be hazy after doing whatever you did to save us. There are eight of those Phase-3 Dark Trooper battle droids aboard your ship as well. That we…liberated, from the Empire on our previous mission for the Rebel Alliance. We have enough food supplies and water to last us three months. As for currency all we have is ten thousand Imperial Credits which only currently have the value of the metal they are cast from."
"Alright…so we need money and a base of operations, becoming a bounty hunter will most likely be the quickest route to money. I can take a squad of three droids with me for back up and leave the remaining five with you to help operate and keep the ship safe."
"I would prefer for you to take the five and leave me with three, Starkiller. For all intents and purposes this is a new much more lawless and dangerous galaxy than the one we used to operate in. Besides, I also have Proxy here to help me protect the Rogue Shadow."
"Alright then, set course for Tatooine, and drop me off outside of Mos Espa."
"Of course, Starkiller." Juno Eclipse murmurs, leans in and steals a quick kiss.
