Chapter 6 - The Punishment Continues

In the meantime, the control room was panicking, the operators trying their best to figure out which of the guards were killed in this facility.

They needed to cut off the earpieces of the dead so that they could communicate properly without the assassin listening to them again.

One of them kept his eyes on the cameras while the other communicated with the security chief alone, instructing him to take a team to Andrey's office and identify the dead bodies.

This was because they couldn't do it themselves as the office room never had any cameras in it.

And one might wonder why until they get to know exactly what type of person Andrey was.

The horrors that he may have pulled off in this room with only his personal bodyguards noticing, were immense.

Now those bodyguards were lying on the ground, their heads filled with bullet holes and gore dripping from their torsos.

The stench of decay was more horrifying than the barbaric mess, the vents actively trying their hardest to remove the smell.

Following accordingly, the chief ordered his men to go to the office after which they began searching up the bodies for their IDs.

One by one, they informed the chief about the codes for the earpieces who in turn, informed the control about them.

Finding out the body with the earpiece missing was not a contest at all for the guards.

However, the control did not allow them to stop as they wanted to shut off all the unnecessary lines, just to humor the possibility that the assassin switched the earpieces up.

Meanwhile in the hallways, the young killer was gaining on the team of four, slowly and steadily walking into an impending fight.

He walked by some desks, collecting a sharp cutter knife before proceeding towards the junction.

The darkness provided him with some camouflage but it was obviously useless as the guards had their weapon-mounted lights on.

Quite the foolish decision to be honest as the assassin quickly grew aware of the team due to the expanding light from the intersecting hallway.

Swiftly pinning his back against the wall, the young killer pointed the gun at the far end of the corridor, waiting for the men to walk into his sight.

And just when the guard appeared in his eyes, he pulled the trigger, his face portraying no hesitation whatsoever.

Crimson splattered the walls behind the man, fresh tissue and blood flying from the gaping wound, his body instantly falling on the ground in front of his allies.

But that didn't stop the assassin for he immediately went into a weaver stance, moving his pistol slightly and pulling the trigger three more times.

The shots landed on the second guard that appeared to his eyes, two of them piercing through his torso while the final one went into his head.

And just like that, the security lost two more of its members, their corpses causing the other two to involuntarily become cautious in a flash, turning off their lights.

The assassin kept his gun pointed right at the edge of the wall, his mind racing at the fact that this wasn't a team of two again. Because that would just simply be too lucky for him.

He proceeded step by step, reaching a decent distance from the edges of the wall.

In the other hallway, the two guards were standing against the walls on their respective ends, the furthest from the supposed assassin signing to the closest to move forward.

The guard then slowly paced towards the intersecting corner, both his hands gripping his pistol tightly.

However, before he could move any forward, the assassin's arm suddenly appeared from the corner, stunning the man in his place.

Pulling the trigger, the bullet pierced through the shin, splattering crimson on the floor and forcing the guard to bend down and shriek.

And before the other guard could pull a move, the assassin appeared from the edges, shooting the guy on his chest.

Pointing the barrel at the first guard, the assassin tried to end his life by pulling the trigger once and for all.

However, he missed the shot as the guard stumbled upon him, holding his arm back so that the gun doesn't meet his body.

Quickly enough, the assassin also held the guard's armed hand away from him before a couple of gunshots was confirmed from the pistol.

This tactic surely paused him a bit but it didn't take long for the young man to overcome this obstacle as he just kicked the guy on his shin, the tendon muscles rapturing and spurting out crimson.

Screams filled the dark hallways, the guard's face grimaced in agonizing pain, allowing the killer to finally take the shot.

Directing his gun towards the other guard almost instantly, the man discharged the weapon, same as him, letting the bullets fly into each other.

Unfortunately for the guard, the bullet plunged into his torso, distracting him once again with the pain.

But for the assassin, the bullet just hit his bicep which was protected by his kevlar blazer.

Swiftly, the young man fired his weapon again, this time the bullet stabbing through the guard's forehead, painting the walls behind him with blood.

But the fight wasn't over yet, for the assassin suddenly sensed hurried footsteps closing in on him, prompting him to stay on his guard.

He didn't bother picking up rounds from his victims as he thought that would simply take too much time.

Light was shining through the glass walls at the end of the hallway, inclining the assassin to follow it for his own safety.

Two teams of four were rushing towards the young killer, meeting each other in the intersection before seeing the team that the young man killed only a few minutes ago.

"What the fuck...?"

"Oh god..."

They muttered to each other, checking up the bloodied bodies on the floor before eventually moving forward towards the sunlight.

BANG!

They paused, hearing the sudden gunshot from the smoking area which was situated at the end of the hallway.

It seemed that the assassin probably shot another camera down, preventing the control from tracing him.

The smoking area accommodated a vending machine with a set of couches across it which was used by employees to sit and relax.

There was also a small table in front of the couches, an ashtray placed on top of it, filled with greyish embers.

And finally, there was a plant vase and a trashcan on the separate corners of the room, used for both decoration and tidiness.

The guards reached the opening, slowly and cautiously stepping inside the room with reluctance in their hearts.

And upon entering, that reluctance came into play as the assassin suddenly leaped in, linking his arm with one of the first guards to step in.

He firmly pulled him to get his feet off balance before scarring the man for life...

TSCHKKK!

Painful shrieks brimmed up the room, crimson red gore gushing out of his gaping wound in aching, stinging spurts as the box cutter delved deep in his eyeball.

But it didn't stop there... as the young man forcibly dragged the box cutter down his face, slitting up his cheek.

Streams of blood spilled out of the gashes, spraying his suit with red as well as the assassin's.

The guard closest to him aimed the gun at the young killer hurriedly but before he could fire, his arm was already shoved away, his neck receiving quite the rough work.

SWISHKK!!

Jets of crimson burst out of the cavernous hole, the pressure of the cutter getting deeper as the assassin moved him to use as a human cover.

He kept his grip tight on the box cutter, giving the guard a hard kick to distract the two men behind him.

The impact of the kick pushed the guard back, the slit in his neck expanding into a large cut due to the firmness of the assassin's grip.

Blood rushed out of the slash, flying and aligning with the bullets that followed the assassin from the other guards.

Two of them hit his protected body while the rest missed, prompting the assassin to throw the cutter at the closest shooter.

Puncturing through his forehead, the guard pinned his back against the wall, his brain still processing the pain.

Quickly bringing out his pistol, the young killer pulled his trigger at the man before pointing his gun at the distracted guard.

With a bullet planted in his head, the man proceeded to be used as a shield for the assassin as he shot down the other distracted unit with ease.

Pulling the trigger multiple times, the assassin quickly shot down two of the three furthest guards before dropping the cover, reloading and shooting the last one in his chest.

A final bullet landed on the last remaining guard's head, causing it to throw back violently as blood splattered the walls on his side.

Puddles of crimson filled up the entrance, the blood soaking on the brown carpets, eliciting an ugly stench of brains and tissue to be born.

But of course, the battle did not end there as there was still a dozen of the security coming for him with the sole purpose of shooting him down.

And he not only had to make it alive but also had to kill them all if he didn't want his mother to be disappointed at him...
