Sera smiled at the Sherrif, and anyone with any sense of self preservation would have long since backdown or disappeared.
But apparently, the Sherrif either wasn't that smart or he thought he was invincible. Maybe both.
But Sera had met many men who thought they couldn't be killed, and she was more than happy to prove them wrong.
The Sherrif was just one more to add to that list.
"Then stop trying to fit me into a little box like you can explain everything away if I just sit down and keep my mouth shut," said Sera, a slight smile on her face as she stared back at the man.
The Sheriff studied her like she was a problem he could no longer solve by reclassification.
"Wardens will be reissued," he said finally. "Until this is resolved."
"And resolution looks like what," Sera asked.
"Elimination," he said. "I told you, we do not allow Halflings to live… especially if they have a claim to the throne."
