The power of their Spirit Fusion Skill was not weakened by the ice-breaking; on the contrary, it pulled the shattered ice into the whirlpool, greatly amplifying the Water Dragon Tornado's force.
Shui Xing'er and Dugu Yan were caught in the pull, struggling to maintain balance. Determined to end the Hai Po brothers in one strike, they clasped hands.
"Spirit Fusion Skill: Ice Phoenix Poison Dragon Fury!"
The Ice Phoenix and the Ink Domain Poison Dragon merged into one, forming a colossal bird-like phantom with both dragon and phoenix bloodlines. It dove toward the Water Dragon Tornado surrounding the arena.
"Bang—"
In an instant, a massive water explosion obliterated the tornado. The Hai Po brothers fell into the water at the center, rendered unconscious, while Shui Xing'er and Dugu Yan landed safely on the circular arena platform, securing victory.
From the VIP seats, Ignaz watched the two women perform the Spirit Fusion Skill for the third time.
He had to admit—their power had grown even stronger.
"Sea Spirit Masters can leverage seawater to multiply their abilities. Without such an overwhelmingly powerful fusion skill, it would be much harder for Xing'er and Dugu Yan to win."
To Ignaz, the Hai Po brothers were still formidable. Though they were one Spirit Ring below the two women, their Spirit Power levels weren't drastically different. Their strongest fusion skill could still cause significant damage.
But all of that was secondary. Ignaz's purpose for this battle had been achieved—they now had a better understanding of Sea Spirit Master combat, and the risks posed by sea Spirit Beasts.
After the match, the group happily arrived at the dock and boarded a pre-arranged large ship, heading toward Sea God Island.
"Ignaz, the voyage to Sea God Island is long, and pirates have been rampant lately. The route passes through multiple Ancient Sea Spirit Beast territories and even the domain of the only Great Sea Monster. Fortunately, you booked my ship; otherwise, it would have been unsafe," the captain said.
"Thank you, Captain."
Even if Ignaz and his group encountered pirates, they could defeat them. The real danger was accidentally drifting into territories of high-level Spirit Beasts or the Abyssal Demon Whale King. That could be fatal.
Fortunately, the journey went smoothly. The captain, relying on his experience, skillfully avoided many hazards.
Several days later, the ship reached waters just ten miles from Sea God Island.
"Ignaz, Sea God Island has guardian beasts nearby. We can't approach further. From here, you're on your own."
Suddenly, seven splashes appeared on the water, approaching rapidly. Seven black fins emerged—seven Raging Bite Sharks. The lead shark bore a dark brown wave-like pattern along its back. As it neared, its entire body rose from the water.
Ignaz recognized them immediately.
"Five holes on the back… this shark survived other predators and actually reached Ancient Beast level?"
The crew watched in caution, confused by Ignaz's words.
After a brief explanation, Ignaz and the six others jumped into the sea, each mounting a Raging Bite Shark. Before departing, the captain reminded him,
"Ignaz, the guardians meeting you signals that the Sea God has high expectations. Don't disappoint him."
"Thank you, Captain. We'll be careful on the return trip."
The sharks turned toward Sea God Island, and the six, experiencing riding sea Spirit Beasts for the first time, were elated.
Ignaz, however, felt uneasy. The guardian beasts should have been the Abyssal Demon White Sharks. How could Raging Bite Sharks—lower-tier Spirit Beasts—serve as guardians? Moreover, the Sea God shouldn't allow Spirit Beasts to carry outsiders into the island, just to test them.
Could this be the Sea God's doing? But Ignaz already held a position as half-inheritor of the Asura God. If the Sea God wanted him as a successor, it shouldn't be necessary. A lower-level deity couldn't just snatch someone from the domain of a God King.
As the ten-mile ride ended, Ignaz's feet touched Sea God Island. Immediately, the lowest-tier Yellow-level Sea Spirit Masters approached, bowing deeply with their right hands over their chests.
"Respected Divine Child of the Sea God, welcome to Sea God Island."
Shui Xing'er and the others exchanged astonished glances.
"I didn't expect Ignaz to receive such respect on Sea God Island!"
"Could this be the phenomenal power granted to a disciple with the Spirit Title of Douluo?"
Ignaz was utterly stunned. He had never been to Sea God Island, and the island's reception seemed like the Sea God was claiming him. Yet the Asura God's consciousness remained silent—this puzzled him.
"Respected Divine Child, please follow us to undergo the Sea God's trial."
Ignaz froze. He already had the Asura God position—albeit not yet formally accepted, it was mandatory, meaning thirty years from now he would inherit the Asura God's mantle. Now there was also a Sea God trial. Did this mean he could hold two divine titles?
Impossible—dual divine titles required Twin Martial Spirits. He only had the Blood Thunder War Spear.
Rather than assume dual titles, Ignaz wondered if the Sea God was simply trying to intercept the Asura God's succession.
His companions were equally shocked. They hadn't imagined that the gods they joked about a month ago actually existed—and that one seemed eager to make Ignaz a god.
