"..." I opened my eyes quickly only to find myself in the middle of the forest with Laplace in front of me, he was still rooted to the ground yelling furiously at me.
'So it was all just Morgan's delusion...' I muttered to myself with barely contained anger.
"Bastard! You fucking half-breed! You're a disgrace to our race!" Laplace continued shouting and I just clenched my teeth in anger.
Without saying anything, I quickly approached him, I placed my hand on his head and used my [Hypnosis] technique again.
"Tell me where the Beast God's sacred treasure is," I asked in a grave tone, my voice feeling deeper than usual due to the terror, anger, and humiliation I felt at that moment.
"Heh...fuck it and I'll tell you, you damn bastard! Either you're too stupid to realize what's happening, or you're just denying reality!" Laplace said mockingly, but I didn't even flinch. I had too much on my mind to deal with him right now, so I simply approached him. I used my [Hypnosis] ability while placing my hand on his head to forcibly extract the information.
"Continent Beggaritt..." I muttered to myself with slight annoyance. It wasn't because of the place, or well, maybe it was, but it was too good a coincidence to be true.
"So, in the Teleportation Maze, huh? How original!" I yelled as I squeezed his head hard, crushing his temples. He didn't even have time to scream before his head was instantly crushed.
Blood exploded from his body, splattering everywhere, and his body lost all its strength.

"..." I simply remained silent in the face of that bastard's audacity, but I could do nothing more than grit my teeth, sigh, and stare at Laplace's corpse.
Immediately, his corpse began to glow, and a single gem fell from his chest. His body then rotted away.
I picked up the object immediately and set off south.
...
The labyrinthine city of Rapan was unlike any other.
Rapan lay in the middle of a vast desert, trapped inside a peculiar and enormous white cage. Any curious person who approached would discover that this cage was constructed from bones—those of a long-dead behemoth. The ribs alone were large enough to enclose the entire city.
At one time, the city had been nothing more than a small oasis. The behemoth's remains had transformed it, and now it was surrounded by a staggering number of labyrinths, making it an attractive destination for countless adventurers. Thanks to these adventurers who came from all over the world, seeking to get rich quick, the city had become a stage for both happy endings and tragedies.
This city, engulfed in a whirlwind of chaos, is currently one of the largest and most prominent on the continent of Begaritt.
—Excerpt from Wandering the World by adventurer and author Bloody Kan
I had a vague recollection of the information contained in Wandering the World. Rapan was a large, earth-colored city, nestled amidst its characteristic twelve white pillars, with buildings made of mud and materials obtained from the region's beasts. I had seen many cities with the same aesthetic on the Demon Continent.
That said, this place was unexpectedly green, perhaps thanks to the oasis beside the bone pillars. Even from afar, I could see a line of what looked like palm trees. The atmosphere was also unique. There was something like a raw smell in the air, not unlike the crowded slave markets.
But right now my mind wasn't focused on that; I didn't even know how long I had been traveling since it was already night.
I'd been on autopilot this whole time, not even knowing what to think or do. I felt completely overwhelmed, as if everything I tried to do from now on would be in vain, besides the lingering feeling of having been betrayed. But who am I kidding? Or rather, I'd been kidding myself this whole time. Even if I were to defeat Hitogami, Morgan's threat would still be out there... maybe he's reveling in my despair right now... The mere thought made my blood boil, but I couldn't even scream. He'd only revel in it even more. I couldn't even think about it since Morgan can read my thoughts. Right now, I felt like I was dead inside.
But first things first, I used all my willpower to stop thinking about this and landed in the middle of the Rapam Desert near the city. The teleportation maze was only a couple of hours north of here, so I didn't even think twice before breaking the sound barrier as I hurtled towards that place. I got there in about 40 minutes and quickly knocked down the entrance. I didn't even pay attention to the monsters that flew out because of this as I burst into the maze.
Magical artifacts were destroyed en masse as I stormed into the place.
Magical tools and armor flew from the walls and floor as I smashed through walls, floors, and ceilings, each one left behind by an unfortunate adventurer who had died here.
No matter how many magical crystals—also known as magic stones—or magically imbued crystals you possessed, they were never enough, and they cost you your life.
As long as your stock was of a certain quality, you could be sure it would sell for high prices. This was a land where merchants' dreams came true.
'But I wasn't here for that!' I screamed in my mind as I burst onto the third floor.
It's true that to get here, you had to know how to cross the desert, among other things. Only a select few could make it a habit. The rest would surely find a more profitable and secure trade if they headed to the Central Continent.
But fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, I had the power Morgan had given me up my sleeve.
"..." Just thinking about Morgan again ruined my mood as I stormed through the place.
"Raaaaah!!" I screamed loudly as I blasted my way to the fifth floor.
*Krooom!!*
With a sonic blast, I propelled myself across the place at a speed that terrified even me, taking down every single monster in the vicinity.
It was like a sword of wind slicing through everything in my path as I hurtled around at the speed of sound.
I quickly reached the entrance to the sixth floor and with a single blow, I shattered the floor, landing directly on it with a crash that echoed throughout the surrounding area.
The sixth floor was covered in Devouring Devils.
The armored warriors vanished completely, leaving only the annoying crawlers on the ceiling, but there were still too many of them. In fact, there were so many that one wondered: why are they so numerous here?
The reason became clear when we ventured into the deepest parts of the sixth floor.
There, in the room leading to the next magic circle, was a nest. A swarm of beasts crowded inside, and countless eggs lay around the edges of the area. They were dark, oblong shapes covered in liquid, like the cockroaches from my world. Just looking at them sent a shiver down my spine.
But I didn't have time for that, so with a simple fireball, they were incinerated. The smell of their charred flesh nearly made me vomit, but I held my breath as I moved forward to suppress the urge
Thus, in less than a minute, I reached the depths of the labyrinth. There were three magic circles near one of the walls that faced away from the entrance to the room.
If that were all, the place wouldn't have seemed special. But the room was completely empty, except for the teleportation circles, which I knew were a trap for fools, so I didn't even look at them a second time. I opened my mana eye and searched the antechamber.
That's how I quickly found a huge purple teleportation circle under the stone slabs.
"Hmmmp!" With a simple stone bullet, I destroyed the floor and used gravity magic to clear the rubble, revealing the circle. I didn't think twice before stepping on it and being teleported to another place. Fortunately, thanks to my DragonFolk perception, I realized I wasn't too far from the labyrinth, about ten kilometers at most, which is something I would expect from a room as enormous as this.
The place resembled the reception hall of a palace, modeled in an oblong shape the size of a baseball field.
There were thick pillars at the corners of the room, and the ceiling was so high that you had to crane your neck to see it. The floor beneath my feet was covered in tiles, each one engraved with its own intricate pattern, forming a relief. If I had to choose a single word to describe the place, "majestic" would be it.
But that wasn't my focus. No, my main interest, and the sole reason I'd rushed to this place, was right in front of me, sleeping peacefully as if nothing else in the world were happening.
Deep in the room was a monster... roughly twice the size of a red wyrm. Even from a distance, I could glimpse the gleam of its emerald-green scales, as well as its short, stocky body and the numerous heads sprouting from it.
A Manatite Hydra... and atop it was a huge bluish crystal. Fortunately, there wasn't a specific person in this place, but with my enhanced DragonFolk vision, I could see a small object embedded in the center of that circle.
"There it is..." I murmured with a smile.
Inside the mana crystal was the BeastGod's sacred treasure, completely intact and without any protective barrier, much to my delight.
It was almost comical how there was no protective barrier or anything to stop me from approaching, but when I looked around with my mana eye and Rinnegan, I could see that there was indeed nothing to impede my advance toward the Hydra. So, without hesitation, I charged at it at full speed.
"Hmph!" With a single flick of my wrist, five of its ten heads fell off one by one, and with my free hand, a King Rank fireball seared their necks in milliseconds.
This awakened the Hydra, which tried to stand the next moment but couldn't. The following moment, the remaining five heads fell again in succession, and this time there was no need to burn them, as the Hydra died instantly.
Without a roar, a sudden movement, or a fight, it died instantly, and that was all that mattered to me. *crick...crack!!!*
Just moments later, the enormous crystal on its back almost melted as shards fell, now that the Hydra's life force was no longer there to hold it together, causing it to shatter instantly.
"..." I picked up the BeastGod's sacred treasure, a simple brown ring with small red and green jewels, and used my teleportation ring to reach Lunaria.
It was time to devise a new strategy...
