Chapter 199 - Chapter 199: The Current Day

After the two entered the mouth of the beast, the mouth of the beast closed and the beast flew away from their current location into the distant grey skies.

That was the first time the boy, Caib Newburn, met Antwon Mersie and his flying carriage.

Back at the current day, while Hui Shi, Lain, Antwon, Daisy, Mon Dupa, and Bia Dupa were getting to know each other, Caib was thinking about his past in gratitude for the help that Antwon had provided him.

From slowly teaching him how to speak Svalian, to helping him gather the resources he needed to easily cultivate the will power from the book he once believed was a cursed witchcraft book, but now loved for its usefulness and power, Antwon had patiently guided him throughout.

After years of effort and aid from Antwon, he was now ready to go back home, and investigate the death of his parents, in order to get the justice he deserved. With the will power he cultivated, and the information he had learned from the web archive and Antwon, he was pretty sure no one within the world he came from would be able to harm him, even at his currently very low cultivation level.

From his memories, he believed only the seven head templars and the chief priestess could be considered powerful enough to withstand his wrath. But he also knew, that that was simply his belief, they may be more powerful than he was told about in the past by his father. So he needed to be cautious when dealing with them in the future.

"Everyone, let's go inside while we converse. I'm afraid the longer we wait the busier the place will become as more people show up to get tested." Mon Dupa's voice woke Caib up from his ponderings. He then nodded at his words, along with everyone else, who've already spent the minutes he was zoned out connecting and learning about each other.

Afterwards, everyone including Lain slowly made their way into the large building in front of them.

While everyone was walking into the building in front of them, the little child Wudi Tian, who walked alongside Hui Shi, and Caib, couldn't help but puff out his chubby cheeks that were hidden under his mask, and think to himself, in anger, 'I don't think they believed me earlier!'

He then pouted his lips, glared upwards towards Hui Shi and held tightly onto Hui Shi's light blue, priest robe, before continuing his thoughts. 'I wasn't lying! It's true! I did tell the truth! I did!'

After thinking this, he quickly looked away from Hui Shi, and continued walking, while holding onto the lower section of Hui Shi's robe.
