Divine sources (The wells): Every island in the dreamlands have there well and some worlds in the walking-realm have there wells as well, based on the choice of the creator of the world.
They form:
- Full gods.
- Divine seeds: They turn someone into a Demi-god.
- Divine flowers: If let nurture they form a god and if plucked before nurturing they can turn someone into a gods but they will gain the personality and memories of the god the flower was made on the bases of.
- If there is a cosmic tree connected to it, the well may form some things to fulfill its wishes (Like the golden links Aaric got.)
Difference between Waking world and the Dreamlands:
The dreamlands is a plane that is on a higher dimension then the waking realms. So, the gods, Divine seeds and demi-gods of the waking world are much weaker compared to those of the dreamrealms.
Even a normal person born in the dreamrealms is a higher dimensional being compared to the people of the waking-realms. And I think we know how broken higher dimensional beings are.
Gods of the material plane:
Weaker and formed from the faith of the mortals in that world through the wells. They may need need worship to sustain themselves if the god (From dreamlands) who created that universe or multiverse wants it to be so.
Even if a god from the Egyption pantheon made that universe, the gods of any pantheon can be formed from the divine wells in the waking-planes based on how the culture of the people develop and the gods the people come up with.
Gods of the Dreamlands:
More powerful then the gods of the waking-realm. They need the sands of Morpheus to materialize in the waking-realm.
They can form a universe however they want and are connected to the universe.
They dictate the limits of the gods of said universe as well.
Power tiers of the gods based on this cosmology:
1. Gods of the void (Outer gods, Vasuki, Makara, etc..): They are Higher Infinity beings on an Outerverse Level (Transcending all dimensions entirely, existing on a superior qualitative level).
They most keep each other in check and some like Vasuki and Makara do not let the others destroy the Waking-realms.
They can do whatever they want in the dreamlands and have barriers that restrict their entrance in the waking-realms.
2. Gods of the dreamlands: They are Multiverse Level+ (Affecting a countably infinite number of universes) in the waking realms.
They are limited by the fact that they need the sands of Morpheus to exert their full strength on the Waking realms.
Their strength level varies in the dreamrealms.
3. Chosen of full pantheons and Demigods of dreamrealms (Luna, Daphne, etc.): Universe Level if they are not given the sands of Morpheus.
Multiverse Level if they do have sands of Morpheus.
4. Gods of waking-realms: They are the most varied in powers, abilities and presence in their worlds may be restricted because of the whims of the dreamland god that made their universes.
They may or may need worship to sustain and empower themselves based in those whims and they are Cosmic level beings ranging from Star to Universe+ level.
5. Demigods of waking-realms: They get less interference from the gods and are able to manifest and worlds and interfere with mortal lives.
They range from Island to universe level as they may train for thousands of years to increase their strength or get boons from their godly parents.
