Blood dripped from Gilbert's hand where Cherry had bitten him, but he didn't seem to notice. With one arm under her, he carried her out of the room.
At the door, Mister Go stood shaking. His nose was broken, bleeding down his face. He looked like a scared, wet chick. When Gilbert passed him, the man stumbled forward.
"Mister Ace Carter, please, I'm Mister Go. I signed an eight-million-peso contract with Debonair. Help me. They'll kill me," he begged, his voice cracking.
He hadn't signed because of Emma's sweet words. He only wanted Gilbert's name on his side to use his power.
Gilbert stopped and glared at him.
Without a word, he kicked Mister Go hard in the chest. The man fell back, clutching his mouth as fresh blood spilled.
"Ah!" Mister Go shouted. "What did I do, Mister Ace Carter?"
Gilbert didn't answer. His eyes flashed coldly.
"Destroy him," he said to his men.
