When Jasmine stepped inside Doctor Tyler's office, she paused at the sight before her. The man was in the middle of cleaning up. Boxes filled with his belongings were stacked neatly in the corner. He stood by his desk, calmly packing away the last of his things.
"Before you say anything," Jasmine spoke first, holding her chin high, "I'm just here to hear how far your lie goes."
Without waiting for an invitation, she walked in and made herself comfortable on the couch, crossing her legs as she scanned the room. Her eyes trailed over the books and papers on the coffee table before snapping toward him again.
"Didn't you say I should come here if I wanted to find out the truth?" Her tone was laced with mockery as she emphasized the last word. "Well? Are you just going to stand there?"
