"I'm so tired."
Lola lay on the grass, almost gasping for air. She barely had time to catch her breath after playing with the twins the whole time.
They'd played before, of course, but this was the longest they'd ever gone. As she huffed, soft giggles rang out beside her.
"Mommy, you're out of shape," Chacha pointed out cheerfully. "Don't worry, we'll be supporting you in your marathon during our honeymoon."
Normally, Lola would've reacted differently, but this time she just smiled and nodded.
"Go take a bath," Atlas said from beside her on the lawn, his tone calm but firm. "It's almost time to bathe."
Chacha pouted while Second frowned. Just to be sure, Second crawled closer to his father and checked his wristwatch. When he saw the time, he perked up and exchanged looks with his sister, only for their father to add coldly:
"Your mother is tired. Do it yourselves."
"Aww, man…" both twins sighed heavily, making Lola sit up with a soft smile.
