She deadpanned. "Slater. Please tell me Penny didn't start again."
"Uhhh." He cleared his throat, making her narrow her eyes. "Yes, she did. That woman is despicable."
But in truth? This time, Slater was the one who started it. That was the advantage of Penny's sullied reputation.
Lola shook her head and took a deep breath, idling under the shade and enjoying the fresh air. A moment later, Izu approached her and Slater.
