Don't ever take your dreams for reality, that was an advice paps once gave me , but right now Fai felt like he needed it more than ever.
As a teenager who possessed a system, Fai sometimes forgot that he was still living in the real world. He compared the system to a game far too often.
And while it was true that the system was designed like one, this was not a game. This was reality. The system had been created to help him survive reality, so of course the rewards it gave were also meant to aid him in that same reality.
Realizing this, Fai knew he needed to stop treating the system like some sort of game interface.
Still, he couldn't deny his disappointment.
The quest from before had been a difficult one. After completing something like that, it was only natural to expect exciting rewards. Something that would make the suffering feel worth it. But for now, he guessed he could only keep dreaming.
'Well, at least it gave me three more uses of the AUTO FAIRY DEFENCE skill. That makes a total of seven uses… but of what use is it? I don't even know how helpful the skill really is, or if it even works,' Fai complained.
But lamenting over the situation wouldn't change anything. What had been done was already done. All he could do now was move on and hope that the skill and rewards would come in handy when he truly needed them.
Besides, the rewards weren't entirely bad.
Two instant level-ups was huge. If translated into EXP, it meant he had been given somewhere around five to six hundred experience points for completing the quest.
It might not sound like much for a life-on-the-line quest, but it wasn't small in any way,especially since it worked in his favor toward completing the quest that required him to reach level twelve.
With those thoughts settled, Fai shifted his attention elsewhere.

With his attention fully on the quest tab, Fai realized three things. First, he still had three quests pending. Second, one quest had already been completed.
And third, by the end of this stage of the assessment, he might have more than a thousand EXP, which would certainly come in handy.
'I wonder how many levels all that EXP would help me gain,' he thought. The idea of suddenly having over a thousand experience points added to his status lingered in his mind.
After checking his quest tab, Fai decided it was time to look at his status screen. Truth be told, he loved doing this. There was something strangely satisfying about looking at his stats, especially when there were changes. Good changes.

Looking at the status screen, Fai realized that all the appropriate changes had been made, just as the system had said.
'I forgot there were bonus stat points every time I leveled up,' he thought. 'I guess I can treat this as another reward from the quest.'
'Now to allocate them ...'
He had to think carefully. Assigning stat points wasn't something he could do recklessly. Putting them in the wrong place would be no different from planning his own downfall.
After a moment of thought, he finally decided.
'I think putting three points into agility would be a good idea.'
His agility was three points lower than his speed. Bringing them to the same level would help him greatly, allowing his reflexes and movement to properly match his speed.
Without wasting time, that's exactly what he did.
'Now with this one remaining stat point, I'll put it into stamina. That should balance things out,' Fai thought.
With that done, his stats updated once more, and this time , everything felt almost even .

After going through his stats and making the proper adjustments, Fai felt ready to move on.
Now, all he had to do was wait, wait and give Johnson some time to rest , even if it wouldn't be enough for him to fully heal.
For now, waiting was all he could do.
