"Persian, use Double Team, then Night Slash!"
White shouted to Persian.
"Per~" Persian had lost its initial confidence. Now it was practically covered in wounds. Several attacks from Venusaur had left it barely able to stand. However, with its strong fighting spirit, Persian managed to get back up and charged towards Venusaur.
Ash saw the Persian obey White's command and charge straight at Venusaur. Ash was secretly delighted. The heavily injured Persian's speed had clearly decreased significantly; charging at this moment was practically suicide.
"Venusaur, give it the final blow, Take Down!"
Ash commanded Venusaur.
"Venusaur!" Venusaur took a step back, straightened its body, and charged at Persian.
"Boom!" The second collision, this time a physical one, saw Venusaur completely dominate in terms of physique. Persian let out a howl and was sent flying like a kite.
The "Take Down" move is a double-edged sword, damaging both the attacker and the user. After this collision, Venusaur also suffered considerable damage. However, Ash thought that Persian wouldn't be able to get up.
"How about that? I guess I won." Ash revealed a winning smile of finally getting revenge.
"You've definitely gotten stronger." White looked at the unconscious Persian and praised Ash.
"Then let me pass, right?" Ash smiled.
"You think it's over already?" White raised an eyebrow at Ash.
"Do you have more to say?" Ash paused, surprised.
"Persian is one of the top Pokémon I have, but it's not the strongest." White reached into her clothes and pulled out another Poké Ball.
"Not the strongest..." Ash frowned. Persian was already so strong, stronger than all the previous team leaders' Pokémon, yet it wasn't White's strongest Pokémon. Then what was her strongest Pokémon?
"I haven't used it in a long time." White glanced at the Poké Ball, a hint of nostalgia in her expression.
"You're the third person I've had to use this Pokémon against." White looked at Ash again.
"I'm the third? Then I'm very honored." Hearing White say this, Ash immediately put on a very honored expression.
"Maybe." White didn't say more and simply threw the Poké Ball.
"Go. Torterra."
"Torterra!"
The heavy Torterra crashed down like a small mountain.
"Torterra?" Ash looked at Torterra, a heavyweight Pokémon like Venusaur, and he'd never seen one before.
"Torterra is a Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. I caught it when I was on a mission there. Its defense and explosive power are far superior to Persian's. Its only weakness, like your Venusaur, is speed," White explained from her chair.
"So this is a heavyweight vs. heavyweight match then," Ash chuckled.
"Your Venusaur isn't a match for Torterra. You should choose a different Pokémon," White said, glancing at the book in her hand.
"How will I know if I don't try? Venusaur, use Razor Leaf!" Knowing Torterra couldn't dodge Razor Leaf, Ash was very confident in its power.
"Venusaur!" Venusaur flicked its body and two large leaves, each half a meter wide, flew towards Torterra.
"Leaf Blade," White echoed.
"Torterra!" Torterra shuddered, sending out two smaller leaves than Venusaur to meet Venusaur's Razor Leaf.
Whoosh! The four Blades collided without a sound. Venusaur's Razor Leaf was actually sliced into four pieces by Torterra and the leaves struck Venusaur's body directly.
"Venusaur!" Venusaur cried out in pain, staggering back a few steps.
"What?" Ash couldn't believe it. His Venusaur had undergone numerous type boosts, making it much stronger than a regular Venusaur, yet it was weaker in power.
"Energy Ball!" White commanded again.
"Torterra!" Torterra opened its mouth wide, releasing a green energy ball the size of a head, flying straight towards the injured Venusaur.
"Venusaur, use Energy Ball too!" Ash shouted quickly.
"Venusaur!" Venusaur opened its mouth wide, and two energy balls, each the size of a head, flew out, colliding with Torterra's energy ball.
"Boom!" With a loud bang, both energy balls vanished, leaving a small crater in the ground between them, a testament to the power of the two energy balls.
"Damn it, it's so strong." Ash was a little annoyed. He hadn't expected Torterra's strength to be comparable to Venusaur's, and even seemed slightly stronger. How could Ash tolerate this?
"Venusaur, use Frenzy Plant!" Ash prepared to use his ultimate move to decide the outcome.
"Torterra, Frenzy Plant!" White gave the same command, seemingly wanting to use the same move to show Ash the difference in strength between their Pokémon.
"Venusaur!"
"Torterra!" Venusaur and Torterra simultaneously stomped their feet on the ground. Suddenly, many giant vines appeared in the garden, flying towards Venusaur and Torterra. Both Pokémon felt the pain and were sent flying.
Venusaur struggled to its feet, while Torterra seemed to have also suffered considerable damage, though it looked much better than Venusaur.
"Torterra, use Superpower!" White shouted.
"Torterra." Torterra gathered its strength and charged directly at Venusaur.
"Venusaur, use Take Down!" Ash, of course, wouldn't be outdone, letting Venusaur charge head-on.
"Venusaur!" Venusaur also charged fiercely at Torterra.
"Boom!" Another violent collision.
The two Pokémon head-on collided, neither holding back, determined to send their opponent flying.
"Torterra, use Crunch." White changed moves at this moment.
"Torterra!" Torterra suddenly took a step back, causing Venusaur to lose its balance for a moment. Then, Torterra opened its jaws and bit down hard on Venusaur's head.
"Venusaur!" Venusaur cried out in pain.
"Just like that, use Hyper Beam!" White shouted.
"Torterra!" Torterra heard White's words, and white light emanated from its mouth.
"Oh no! Venusaur uses Vine Whip to knock Torterra away!" Ash saw the situation was bad and quickly commanded, "Venusaur..." Venusaur was in great pain from the bite and tried to pull out Vine Whip, but it was too late. A white beam of light, emitting a red glow, engulfed Venusaur's head.
"Boom!" The light dissipated, leaving a deep crater in the ground. Venusaur had collapsed unconscious.
"You know the difference between us now, right? You're no match for me." White said calmly.
"That's not necessarily true." Ash put away Venusaur and took out another Poké Ball.
"How will you know if you don't try?" Ash said expressionlessly.
