Ross couldn't understand George's insistence on this marriage. His uncle was too practical, too logical, too much like a stuffed shirt. He was also too good of a businessman to enter into an agreement in which he received nothing. To Ross, it seemed as though the only one benefiting from this ridiculous deal was Susan.
"I don't want to discuss this anymore, Ross. I've made my decision."
"You haven't slept with Susan," Ross stated, suddenly sure. For some reason, relief flooded through him at that thought. Stunned at his reaction, Ross gritted his teeth. Why the hell would he care? You shouldn't, he thought grimly, since he had severely revised his opinion of the charming and beautiful Susan McMillan. She wanted security? He'd dealt with plenty of women who wanted "security," which usually translated into money—and lots of it.
"No," George said, his voice weary. "I haven't. Nor do I plan to. Ever since Ellie left, I've been unable to..."
"To what?"
