Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 35: NO MORE HOLDING BACK.

Meanwhile some time later at The League Of Enders Hq, One month had passed outside, equivalent to four years in the Room of Endless Time. Breaton, sweat-driven and intense, stood facing LM Simon amidst the room's eerie stillness.

LM Simon nodded, his expression approving. "You've made significant progress, Breaton. Your control's getting tighter, but we've still got a long way to go."

Breaton nodded, breathing heavily. "How much longer, Simon now?"

LM Simon's grin was reassuring. "Four more months outside, Breaton. Twenty years in here. You'll be a master."

Breaton's determination intensified. "Alright, let's push on then." He raised his hands, and the air around him began to distort as he channeled the lightning. LM Simon watched intently, offering corrections and guidance.

The hours blurred into what felt like an eternity in the Room of Endless Time, but outside, only a few more days passed. Breaton's progress was palpable – his strikes more precise, his defenses stronger.

LM Simon nodded, satisfied. "You're getting there, Breaton. Keep going." The training continued, the two of them locked in a world where time meant nothing.

"If you keep this up, you might be able to save your other half and the women who are carrying your children. And If you time this perfectly, you'll be able to save them before they give birth," LM Simon said with a smile.

Breaton smiled at LM Simon's words. Just then,

the door to the room opened, and Gus walked in with a somber expression on his face. Breaton saw him and greeted him warmly.

"Hey, Director Gus, what's up? I can't talk now, I'm in the middle of a breakthrough," he said enthusiastically.

Gus smiled sadly, then walked up to Breaton and took a deep breath before speaking.

"Hey, Breaton, I need to talk to you about something important," he said with a sigh.

"You sound serious. What is it you need to tell me? I'm listening," Breaton said, paying attention.

Gus sighed, then took a deep breath and spoke again.

"I'm not going to beat around the bush. I'll just come out and say it. I sent someone to check on your family, and the report I received is that... your father and brothers were killed, and your mother and little sister are missing."

Gus's words hit Breaton like a ton of bricks. The room fell silent, the only sound the faint hum of the Room of Endless Time in the background. Breaton's eyes widened, his grip on the lightning faltering as he stared at Gus, disbelieving.

"What...what do you mean?" Breaton stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Gus's expression was grim. "I'm sorry, Breaton. The report says they were attacked. Your father's and brother's bodies were found, but there's no sign of your mother and sister. We don't know if they're..."

Breaton's face contorted in anguish, and the lightning surrounding him surged wildly. LM Simon stepped forward, concern etched on his face. "Breaton, control it. Now."

The air crackled with tension as Breaton struggled to contain his rage and grief

Ignoring LM Simon, Breaton turned to face Gus. "How did they die, and do you know who killed them?" he demanded.

"The cause of death was gunshot wounds to their heads. As for the ones who did it, they're hired mercenaries. We've been tracking them for a while now," Gus replied.

Continuation:

Breaton's eyes narrowed, his face twisted in a mix of grief and fury. "Gunshot wounds to the head?" he repeated, his voice low and menacing.

Gus nodded, his expression unflinching. Breaton's grip on the lightning intensified, the air around him crackling with energy. "Who hired them?" he growled, his eyes blazing with a fierce determination.

Gus hesitated, then spoke in a measured tone. "We're working on identifying the client, Breaton. But I promise you, we'll get to the bottom of this."

Breaton's face set in a cold, hard mask. "In my entire life, I have never killed anyone. I have always respected the sanctity of life. Patrick was right about me. I am weak. When I first got my powers, I was afraid to hurt anyone by accident. And that is why I couldn't defeat how him... I was holding back, too afraid to kill. That ends now. My father was a good and honest man, and so were my brothers. I am out for blood," he said, his eyes bloodshot as lightning surged from his body.

LM Simon clapped. "That's the spirit. Don't hold back. Once you finish your training with me, I will personally help you get your revenge. I know how you feel. When I was around your age, I once held back, giving an enemy a chance to kill more people then escape. That was one of my greatest mistakes," he said with a frown.

Breaton looked back over At with a nod of understanding

Then Gus stepped forward and asked

"What happened to your enemy? If you don't mind me asking?". His curiosity taking over.

LM Simon's frown deepened. "He was given a chance of repentance. He became a guardian of the universe."

Gus nodded, a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "A guardian, huh? Guess some people can change."

Breaton's expression didn't waver. "I won't be holding back. I'll do whatever it takes to avenge my family."

LM Simon placed a hand on Breaton's shoulder. "That's the mindset. Let's get you trained, then we'll get you your revenge."

LM Simon's grip on Breaton's shoulder tightened. "First, we need to get your powers under control. Can't have you blowing up half the city in a fit of rage."

Gus nodded in agreement. "I'll leave you to it, LM. Breaton, I'll keep digging into the mercenaries and their employer. We'll get the information you need."

Breaton gave a curt nod, his eyes still burning with intensity. As Gus left the room, LM Simon turned to Breaton. "Alright, kid. Time to unleash that lightning. Let's see what you're really capable of."

Breaton cracked his knuckles, a cold grin spreading across his face. "I'm ready."

Meanwhile, elsewhere, in one of the Coven of Lock-loopers' safe houses, Salina White sat on a chair made from 24k gold and it was lined with red zircon gemstones. Behind her stood Lysander, and in front of her sat Nadia and Ava in a meditative state. This safe house was specially designed for witches to train and harness their powers. It was similar to the Room of Endless Time at the League Of Enders headquarters, but the difference was: one month inside this safe house was equivalent to one day outside.

Salina's eyes gleamed with anticipation as she watched Nadia and Ava. They were getting close to unlocking their full potential, and she could feel it. Lysander leaned forward, his voice low. "Mother Salina, can you feel that overwhelming force?" he asked.

Salina's smile was a thin line. "Yes, I can feel it, and it would appear that both mother and daughter have great potential." She replied with a grin.

Just then, Nadia and Ava's eyes snapped open, their pupils flashing with power. Salina's gaze locked onto them, her voice dripping with excitement. "Congratulations, my dears, you now have significant power," she said, her voice full of pride.

"Thank you for teaching us, Lady Salina. I will be eternally grateful for this," Nadia said with a smile.

"Yes! Grandmother Salina, what my mother said is correct, and with this power we can take revenge for my father and my two brothers," Ava said, clenching her fist.

"There is no need for you to thank me, my dears. Nadia, you are my daughter-in-law, and, Ava, you are my granddaughter. We are family," Salina said with a smile.

Nadia and Ava exchanged a look, their faces set with determination. "We're ready, Mother Salina. What's next?" Nadia asked.

Salina's smile grew wider. "Next, we plan our move. We'll make sure the five men who killed your loved ones pay for what they've done."

Ava's eyes burned with a fierce intensity. "I'll make sure they suffer."

Lysander stepped forward. "Lady Salina, we've gathered the intel. The targets are part of a big organization involved in money laundering, human trafficking, and armed robbery."

Salina nodded, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Good. Nadia and Ava, you'll take care of this. The Coven of Lock-loopers won't be involved. This is personal."

Nadia and Ava nodded in unison, their resolve clear.

Unbeknownst to the both of them, Salina's eyes flickered with a hidden motive. She was the one who had hired the five men to kill Nadia's husband and sons, fueling the fire of revenge that now drove her daughter-in-law and granddaughter. "Your training has just begun, and the two of you still have a long way to go. At least four to five years more," Salina said, smiling.

"Grandma Salina, how long we've been in this room?" Ava asked.

"We've been in this room for approximately 2 years and a half, which is equivalent to one month outside. And I believe you need at least five more years of training. So I'll give you a choice: you can stop your training here and go seek your revenge now. You'd only be able to take out the five guys that killed our loved ones. But if you continue your training for the next five years in this world, you'll be able to take on the entire organization. You'll ensure no one else goes through the same thing."

Nadia and Ava looked at each other and came to the same agreement. "We've decided to continue our training," they said in unison.

Salina's smile grew wider, her eyes glinning with anticipation. "I thought as much."
