Recently, shocking news spread through the Blood God Legion—at least, Bai Xu, as an external member of the Blood God Camp, was aware of it. Blood Nine had been replaced, and Tang Wulin had become the youngest Blood God in the legion's history, astonishingly defeating a Titled Douluo despite only being a Soul Emperor.
Bai Xu's Room.
The Spirit of the Plane lay on the bed, watching as Bai Xu sat surrounded by swirling fragments of time and space. It wasn't sure what he was comprehending, but it wasn't overly concerned. Its gaze drifted to the window as it recalled the day the Seed of Nature had sprouted within Tang Wulin. A trace of worry flickered across its brow.
"Tang Hao… Tang Hao… The plane's ecosystem is already imbalanced. If not for the Abyss replenishing it, the Douluo Continent wouldn't last another thousand years. Once a Plane's Will gains consciousness, selfishness is inevitable. You've favored humanity too much, guiding them improperly, driving soul beasts to the brink of extinction. The Abyss may sustain Douluo for now, but what of the future?"
"Humans know that devouring other planes can strengthen their own, even elevating their world and breaking through bottlenecks. As technology advances and humanity ventures into the cosmos, encountering other planes… what will they do? Their greedy nature will never change. Once this tendency takes root, it will inevitably lead to an interstellar war—or worse, Douluo invading other planes. Perhaps you think the Divine Realm's backing makes you invincible, but sooner or later, you will provoke the will of the universe. And when that day comes, Douluo will fall."
The Spirit of the Plane sighed inwardly, lamenting, "Originally… Huo Yuhao was the Child of Destiny I staked everything on. Without Tang San's interference, he would have been the true favored one, the bridge between humans and soul beasts. Had he ascended to godhood… he would have safeguarded Douluo, and the plane wouldn't be in such ruin. That child was pure, yet you tormented him until even his innate kindness was twisted. Hah… In the end, the Divine Realm plucked the fruit for themselves. None of you who rose from Douluo ever truly looked back."
Its gaze shifted to Bai Xu. "Even an otherworldly demon like him has more loyalty and righteousness. At least he understands karma, his vision broad enough not to be complacent or blinded by petty love."
Over this time, the Spirit of the Plane had observed Bai Xu with growing concern. It feared that if Bai Xu fell for the Silver Dragon King, he might side with the soul beasts without reason, regressing the plane by hundreds of thousands of years—back to an era where soul beasts preyed on humans.
But after speaking with Bai Xu, it realized he had always maintained his own stance. Only then did the Spirit of the Plane relax.
Otherworldly demons were omens of calamity, carrying great secrets. If discovered, they would attract covetous eyes—imprisoned for interrogation at best, or destroying entire planes for power at worst.
Perhaps in the darkest hour, fate had brought Bai Xu to it, rekindling hope.
"Damnable otherworldly demon, Tang San! Had I been conscious when you crossed over, I would have buried you alive! In your own words—you've already chosen the path to death!"

Meanwhile, Gu Yuena had just logged off the Star Battle Network. Despite another victory, she felt no joy. Standing in her room, she muttered to herself.
"You actually did all that with him?!" A voice filled with shock and embarrassment echoed in her mind. Gu Yue, who shared her memories, was both furious and flustered, demanding an explanation.
"So what? You were the ones who hesitated back then." Gu Yuena's tone was domineering, unwilling to tolerate her secondary self's questioning.
"You—!" Gu Yue fell silent.
After a long pause, she spoke again. "He removed Tang San's spiritual imprint from us?!"
"Yes."
Within the spiritual sea, Gu Yue's expression turned bitter. "That imprint was the only leverage restraining our power. And he erased it… Does he truly not fear we'll devour Tang Wulin, become the Dragon God, and dominate everything?"
As the original personality and the one who had interacted most with Bai Xu, Gu Yue was far more rational. As the former ruler of soul beasts, she had always prioritized duty.
Looking back, despite her emotional entanglement with Bai Xu, she had first verified his ability to perceive past and future, ensuring he couldn't see through her plans. Then, she subtly gathered information about the future from him. At the time, she had fully intended to devour the Golden Dragon, ascend as the Dragon God, and either kill Bai Xu or die trying—all to restore soul beasts to their ancient glory.
But then, Tang San's spiritual imprint had been planted, cutting off her path to godhood. Left with no choice, she turned to Bai Xu, at least securing a future where soul beasts could stand equal to humans.
And now… Bai Xu had damaged his own soul to remove that imprint.
What was she supposed to do now?
Still pursue the Dragon God's path?
But they owed Bai Xu too much… and the debt would only grow.
"I know what you're thinking," Gu Yuena said. "Becoming the Dragon God isn't so simple. Even if we devour the Golden Dragon, we won't immediately ascend. And even if we do, there's no Dragon God's divine throne. In that future ten thousand years later, only the one chosen by the Dragon God's remnant will receive the divine trials. At best, we'd be a transitional vessel."
"The more we untangle this, the messier it gets! Regardless, we must become the Dragon God and break the curse preventing soul beasts from godhood. Only then will they have a true future, free from endless tribulations." Gu Yue's voice was firm.
Yet when it came to Bai Xu, hesitation crept in. "As for him… we'll have to wait and see."
"Hah. If you can't bring yourself to kill him, just admit it. Must we keep pretending to be the Silver Dragon even in private?"
"You—!"
Gu Yuena's tone turned serious. "Whatever you do when you take control, there's one thing you absolutely cannot allow."
"What?"
"Don't let Bai Xu take liberties with you. Until he reforges your bodies, both you and Na'er must remember—this is my body!" Gu Yuena gritted her teeth. "If this continues, the relationships between us will become irreparably tangled!"
Gu Yue scoffed. "Why should you get to have him while Na'er and I can't? We're the same person."
"Now we're three! Do you want me to forcibly remerge you and Na'er?" Gu Yuena threatened.
"You can try. Let's see how Bai Xu reacts to that."
Gu Yuena froze. The two women glared at each other, their possessive natures clashing. Thankfully, Na'er was still dormant—otherwise, the argument would have had a third participant.
After a long silence, Gu Yuena muttered, "It's all that scoundrel's fault. From the start, he's had this plan… to enjoy the affections of all of us."
Gu Yue nodded silently. Bai Xu had indeed been aiming for both her and Na'er from the beginning—he just hadn't expected Gu Yuena to emerge early.
"Fine. It's my turn now. I promise I won't let Bai Xu touch me," Gu Yue said.
"Really?"
"Yes."
The two embraced, and in the outside world, Gu Yue's eyes opened. A faint smile curved her lips as she glanced down at her figure.
'Hmph. At least my body is better than Gu Yuena's.'
