Chapter 262 - The Hot Potato Named Voldemort

People sit at home, and pots fall from the sky.

Dumbledore was currently seeking a way to completely eliminate that particular student, mentally and physically.

What he didn't know was that a critical clue was about to be delivered right to him. Unfortunately, the little wizard bringing it had no intention of revealing the full truth.

Voldemort, the Dark Lord, the greatest power in the wizarding world, over sixty years old and still scheming for the top position, the MVP of the Magical Creatures Union (after his rise, giants, werewolves, even officially-registered Dementors joined his ranks), with countless loyal followers, his name alone could terrify the world.

And yet, one-seventh of Voldemort was now firmly in Allen's hands. Thinking about it… this is kind of exciting.

Too bad, even if you collected all seven parts, it wouldn't summon a dragon. Forget making a wish like "give me Aladdin's lamp," that's absurd.

So, the hot potato was best left for Dumbledore. As for solving the mystery for him? Forget it. Pretending to be prophetic wouldn't work on Dumbledore, he'd rather figure it out himself. Allen just hoped Dumbledore wouldn't take so long that Voldemort completed his "ultimate raid."

Thinking this, Allen chuckled softly. I wonder how Voldemort's residual soul would feel if he realized Dumbledore was treating him like a research project… would he freak out?

The laugh echoed in the quiet corridor, so Ginny, who had been trailing Allen, ran up a few steps ahead and stopped in front of him. Before she could ask why he was laughing, Allen suddenly laughed even louder.

"Allen, Allen, are you okay?" Ginny's voice carried a hint of urgency, worried her earlier attack might have caused this.

"Ha ha, pfft, ha ha, I'm fine, I'm fine. Ginny, just let me laugh a bit, almost done." Allen propped the diary in one hand and steadied himself against the wall, laughing so hard he almost lost his balance.

As Ginny ran over, Allen suddenly thought of the Chamber of Secrets, the Basilisk, and then Ginny's lost time.

He couldn't help it, during the period Ginny lost her memory, she had killed the rooster and released the Basilisk. That was not something someone unconscious could easily do.

So, the controller was obvious, yes, it was him. It was him, the little Tom who had taken over Ginny.

What admirable character, the big boss not only cross-dressed, he even changed gender! Bowing to a cross-dressing big boss.

Finally, Allen regained composure under Ginny's bewildered gaze, shifted the diary, and then glanced at Dumbledore's office, suddenly a terrifying thought struck him.

He remembered: Dumbledore wearing a witch's hat at Christmas, Snape in Neville's grandmother's clothes during Lupin's class, Moody and Bartemius Crouch in ridiculous disguises, and even Crabbe and Goyle nearly being blocked before victory, transformed into younger girls… could it be the truth of the Harry Potter world, you can't get stronger without cross-dressing?

Ugh… I suddenly feel grateful to the system. Without it, my only path to strength would have been one routine, thanks to the friends from Runeterra.

Unfortunately, the system didn't budge. No discounts on any artifacts or legacies, no mysterious shop markdowns, not even a misleading 9.9% off…

After randomly guessing a few candy codes and silently mocking Dumbledore's password skills, Allen, with a surprised Ginny in tow, entered the office. Dumbledore was amidst piles of documents, searching for something, and only lifted his head when he noticed them.

His face reflected surprise, he clearly hadn't known who would arrive.

Adjusting his glasses, he remained calm and gentle: "Well, I don't know how you managed to enter my office, but Ginny's expression tells me you have something important to share. Although it's only the first week of term, unexpected events occur, it's nothing to worry about. Sit, children."

With a gentle press of his fingers, two armchairs flew over and positioned themselves by the desk, accommodating Allen and Ginny.

"Take your time, speak slowly. We have time. This is the safest place in the world. Even if the matter is serious enough to make you sacrifice your holidays, I am here."

His tone was gentle, yet conveyed immense authority, and it was true. Even Voldemort would hesitate to provoke this white wizard. Dumbledore wasn't just a bragging professor like Lockhart; if age hadn't been on his side, the first casualty was anyone's guess.

"Busy as always, handle one task, and pile up more. But that doesn't stop us from enjoying life." Dumbledore raised his wand, smiling: "Tea? Coffee? Hot chocolate? Lemonade?"

Each time he named a drink, it appeared on the table, this was his domain; even minor things obeyed his words.

"Lemonade, please, Headmaster, thank you." Allen requested politely. Ginny, after a moment of surprise, picked a drink casually.

"So, what happened? Do you need help? Or… Allen, are you planning to elope with my student, sneak past her parents, and come see me for my blessing?" Dumbledore's tone was serious.

Allen nearly sprayed his lemonade across the room, he knew Dumbledore could be playful, but this was a sharp jab.

Ginny, too, was startled, dropping her cup. Both the spilled lemonade and the fallen cup were magically controlled by Dumbledore.

"See? Now you're less nervous. I'm sure the story ahead will be fascinating." Dumbledore said, smiling.

Choked by the lemonade, Allen's inner thought: I want to hit someone… Slytherin classmates, where are you?

After all, this white-bearded old man in front of him, he can't beat him…
