The restaurant was enveloped in a deafening and unnatural silence.
Blood fell from broken chairs, cracked tables, and bodies scattered across the floor. The wooden planks beneath Liam's feet were painted red, and the smell of spilled blood mixed with the scent of cooked meat still lingering from earlier meals.

Every assassin on the main floor lay dead. Some bodies were split cleanly in half. Some were missing limbs. Some had collapsed with their throats sliced open. Others had no wounds at all, but their necks were twisted at odd angles.
