"Won't people see us flying so openly in the sky?"
After her initial surprise, Yuigahama Yui vigilantly asked Asakura.
"You're right."
Asakura pressed a silver button next to the driver's seat.
The entire car then entered stealth mode.
"Amazing!"
Yuigahama Yui shouted happily.
Who in this world hasn't dreamed of flying? Although there are airplanes, even sitting by the window, after takeoff, all you see are clouds and an indistinct ground. Compared to a Magic car, which gives a more tangible feeling of 'flying in the sky,' the latter clearly fulfills the dream of flying better. Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many people obsessed with various shuttlecraft.
"Look, humans are like trash!"
The girl suddenly put on a serious face and said in an affected, low voice.
"You actually really like watching anime, don't you?"
Asakura retorted.
"Most Japanese people have probably seen that anime."
Yuigahama Yui asked curiously, "Speaking of which, Asakura-kun, have you learned to drive?"
"I learned in my previous life."
Asakura replied earnestly, "I'm super good at Subject Three."
Yuigahama Yui chuckled, clearly thinking he was just joking.
Gotō Hitori's little face, however, instantly turned pale.
"Be careful!"
The girl cried out in alarm.
Ahead was Shimokitazawa Station, its European-style clock tower suddenly looming before them, looking as if they were about to crash into it through the windshield.
Asakura sharply turned the steering wheel.
But the Magic car showed no intention of turning, as if the steering wheel had malfunctioned, and it sped straight through.
The girls screamed, but Asakura merely raised an eyebrow.
Then, the clock tower seemed to come alive, leaping high and doing a split to avoid the Magic car.
Interestingly, despite such a huge commotion, the people below the clock tower heading to Shimokitazawa Station seemed to see nothing, simply continuing their routine activities.
"Oh..."
Asakura showed a look of realization, "I see."
He shifted gears, and then the Magic car turned smoothly, as if an extension of his arm, gliding towards his desired direction.
"You scared me to death."
Yuigahama Yui finally let out a sigh of relief, patting her chest, "Seriously, if you're going to do stunts like that, say something beforehand! A few more times and I feel like Asakura-kun will give me a heart attack."
The poor Gotō Hitori, meanwhile, was slumped in the soft seat, her eyes vacant, looking as if her brain had crashed.
If this were a manga, a blob of spirit, like mochi, would surely be coming out of her mouth by now.
Asakura subtly glanced at her.
Even in this state of minimal mental defense, Hoshino Ai hadn't directly taken over, so it seemed his protective ring, enchanted with the Scale Magic, was quite effective.
"Yuigahama, wake Hitori up."
Asakura said.
"Huh? When did Hitori-chan fall asleep? Wake up~"
Yuigahama Yui saw the unconscious Gotō Hitori beside her and quickly moved over to shake her.
Then Gotō Hitori came to her senses, "I, I feel like I just... had a really scary dream..."
Then she saw Asakura charging towards a tall building like Don Quixote attacking a windmill, and the building, by a hair's breadth, suddenly bent backward into an O-shape to avoid the Magic car.
"What did you say?"
Asakura finally found a moment to ask.
"...No, nothing."
Gotō Hitori quickly shook her head vigorously.
"Oh, Hitori, did you ask that person where Tendoji Sarina, the one she said she was looking for, lives?"
Since he was going to solve her problem, Asakura didn't want to drag it out. The faster, the better.
"Um, let me ask..."
The girl silently closed her eyes. A moment later, she opened them and said, "Miss Hoshino said it seems to be in Miyazaki Prefecture."
"Huh? Isn't that super far?!"
Yuigahama Yui said in surprise.
Asakura was also speechless.
Although he wasn't particularly familiar with the geography of the island nation, as far as he knew, Miyazaki Prefecture was nearly a thousand kilometers away from Shimokitazawa, even in a straight line.
And even if his Magic junk car went into 'Full ☆ Speed ☆ Ahead ☆!' mode regardless of Magic power consumption, a one-way trip would still take four or five hours. This was not a distance one could 'just drop by on the way home from school.'
No choice, it seemed today he could only send Gotō Hitori home for now and go look for Tendoji Sarina on the weekend.
"I'm sorry..."
Gotō Hitori timidly apologized in a small voice.
"Speaking of which, ever since I met Hitori, I feel like I've constantly been hearing Hitori apologize."
Asakura said abruptly.
"I'm sorr—... Um."
Gotō Hitori instinctively tried to apologize, but the words caught in her throat because of Asakura's comment.
"That's right, Hitori-chan lacks too much confidence. You need to be braver!"
Yuigahama Yui also encouraged Gotō Hitori from the side.
"Brave, brave?"
"Exactly!"
"I, I understand."
Gotō Hitori nodded, as if having made a huge decision, and said, "When I get home today, I'll post 'Hello everyone' in the band's Line group."
"Group introduction?!"
"This is... Watashi... full of determination... adv-advancing!"
"No, no, no, this isn't advancing at all, it's just taking the first step!"
"Huh? Huh?"
Gotō Hitori tremblingly confirmed, "The first step... isn't clicking 'agree' on the group invitation message?"
Yuigahama Yui covered her face and was silent for a moment, then lowered her hand and looked at Gotō Hitori with gentle eyes, "It's okay, Hitori-chan, just keep living like this..."
"No, no, no, this won't do! Don't just give up all of a sudden!"
Asakura, who was driving, couldn't help but retort.
"The level difference is too great, I don't know what to do anymore."
Yuigahama Yui said with a tearful face, "Can I ask for outside help?"
"..."
Gotō Hitori had a complex expression of 'I feel like something very mean was said, but I'm not sure what was mean, and being looked at gently also feels nice.'
"Oh, I forgot to confirm with you, Hitori."
Asakura suddenly said.
"W-what?"
Gotō Hitori came to her senses and asked uneasily.
"You, Hitori..."
Although Asakura didn't turn his head, his voice sent shivers down Gotō Hitori's spine, giving her the illusion of being stared at by a Snake: "You're actually Guitar Hero, right?"
The girl's eyes were blank, her mind a chaotic mess, with only one phrase echoing in her head: Oh no, I've been boxed in!
