Chapter 378 - LHW Chapter 377: Guidance

Service Club activity room.

"Your next sentence is 'Can't I really have a snack today'!"

"Can't I really... Nani?!"

Asakura was using Future Vision to tease Yanami.

Of course, teasing Yanami was just a side effect; in reality, he was just trying to quickly familiarize himself with how to use Future Vision.

"Is Takkun really okay now?"

Yuigahama Yui, who was nearby, asked with concern.

Although Asakura hadn't seen the girl in the infirmary, according to Yanami, Yuigahama Yui and Asagumo Chihaya had both come to see him while he was asleep.

By the way, Yuigahama Yui and Asakura were in the same class, so that's one thing, but why did Asagumo Chihaya know he went to the infirmary?

He felt that delving into this question would uncover some incredible facts, so Asakura decided to pretend he didn't know about it...

"I've mostly recovered. Don't underestimate a magician's physique."

Asakura raised his hands in a bicep-flexing pose.

"Generally, aren't magicians the type with very weak physiques?"

Yuigahama Yui said, "Like in JRPGs... though I haven't really played them much."

"No, no, no, those are all prejudices. A proper magician first needs to put forty points into strength, learn two-handed swords, and one Flash magic is enough."

Asakura said righteously, "What do Japanese people know about magicians!"

"That's a Berserker, right?"

Yukinoshita Yukino retorted.

"No, it's a magician."

Asakura said with conviction.

"Are you very free?"

Yukinoshita Yukino closed her book and looked at Asakura, asking.

"If you ask, although there's still something I haven't finished, it's not that urgent. So yes, I'm quite free right now."

Asakura nodded.

The thing he needed to do was make the Instant Skip-Class Candy, whose creation method and materials he had just acquired. However, he had already taken the time to look at the alchemy notes, and from the records, most of the Instant Skip-Class Candy recipes were much simpler than Essence of Dittany.

Plus, those items weren't as useful as Essence of Dittany, so there was no rush to make them.

"Previously, the Student Council asked the Service Club..."

"Ah, I suddenly remembered I still have something to do, farewell!"

Before Yukinoshita Yukino could finish speaking, Asakura immediately got up and hurriedly left the club. But then he ran back to the activity room, dragged away Yanami, who was still sad about not being able to have a snack, leaving behind a speechless Yukinoshita Yukino and a giggling Yuigahama Yui.

"Eh? What's going on now?"

Yanami was being pulled by the wrist by Asakura, walking through the club building, feeling a bit dizzy, unsure whether to be shy or angry.

"You now have magic power, so you can officially become a member of the Magic Club. So I need to take you to the Magic Club's activity room to show you the way."

Asakura said.

"Doesn't the Magic Club share an activity room with the Service Club?"

Yanami asked, confused, "Also, that... hand..."

"That's what we tell outsiders—" Asakura turned back to look at the girl, a mysterious smile on his face: "If the Magic Club's activity room was really that obvious, wouldn't it completely lack the 'Magic' sense of mystery?"

"Indeed... huh? Wait a minute, so that means for a while, I wasn't really a member of the Magic Club, but just an irrelevant person who couldn't even be considered a ghost member?"

The girl gradually realized.

"Then do you want to get involved in and solve supernatural events with a mortal body?"

Asakura countered.

"No, thank you. Please let me continue to be a mortal."

The girl immediately chickened out.

If two days ago she might have had some curiosity about so-called supernatural phenomena, after actually encountering supernatural events and truly causing a considerable amount of trouble, Yanami was now very reluctant to deal with such things.

"In the industry, we generally call them Muggles."

"Although I'm not very clear, I always feel that this term has a subtle maliciousness to it..."

"In the US, I think they call them No-Maj."

"Then I still feel like 'Muggles' sounds cuter."

Amidst their conversation, Yanami suddenly let out a small gasp.

She saw a small wooden cabin-like building embedded in the school corridor wall.

Even though the cabin looked so obvious, filling the school corridor with an absurd sense of incongruity, why did it seem like no one at school ever mentioned it, as if students and teachers couldn't see it...

"Could it be..."

"Yes, this is the true base of our Magic Club, the Clubroom."

Asakura introduced to Yanami, who had finally guessed correctly for once: "Although you probably already know, I'll say it again: our Magic Club's original name was 'Chiba Magic Society'."

"Hmm, I've wanted to say this for a while, but don't you think this name sounds a bit like a villain organization from an anime or game?"

Yanami said, looking at the cabin embedded in the hallway wall.

"Is that so? I actually quite like it..."

Asakura mumbled.

"Asakura's aesthetic is quite subtle."

"That's just how we magicians are."

Asakura said, letting go of the girl's hand, about to open the door to the Clubroom.

Yanami rubbed her wrist, feeling a sudden emptiness.

"Please come in."

Asakura gestured for her to enter: "It might be a little messy inside. It would be best if you don't mind that."

"I understand."

The girl swallowed, gathered her courage, and walked through the door that looked pitch black inside.

However, the moment she stepped inside, the previously dim room suddenly seemed to open up brightly.

Just as Asakura had said, there were quite a few things piled up inside, including some old furniture (all moved by Asakura from his own home). It was slightly messy, but only messy, not particularly dirty overall.

And originally, the girl thought she would see some surreal things, but after actually looking, she felt subtly disappointed. She felt that there didn't seem to be anything particularly supernatural in this cabin.

If she had to say what was most special in the room, besides that giant cauldron that looked big enough for a five or six-year-old child to bathe in, it was probably only Asagumo Chihaya, sitting gracefully and quietly on the sofa, elegantly brewing tea.

On a side note, Chihaya Anon seemed to have been called to the office by a teacher for detention.

Apparently, her performance in English class was exceptionally poor, so bad that the English teacher questioned, "Did you really study abroad in England?"

In any case, she probably wouldn't be back for a while, so neither the Service Club nor the Clubroom would see any trace of the pink-haired girl.

"Why is Asagumo-san here?"

"Yanami asked, a little surprised.

"Because I'm also a member of the Magic Club, and I even submitted a written application to join, so isn't it natural for me to be here?"

Asagumo Chihaya said calmly, "Would you like some tea?"

"Now that you mention it, I guess there was something like that. That's why I always felt like Asagumo-san would inexplicably appear in the Service Club's activity room. So that's what it was…"

Yanami finally nodded in understanding, "Yes, yes, and if there are snacks, that would be even better."

"You cannot give her snacks, Chihaya."

Asakura said leisurely, "She'll get fat."

"Ugh…"
