Chapter 537 - LOD Chapter 534 Arrival at the City of Silver

The surrounding air seemed to freeze for a moment, and Colin Iliad's deep gaze scrutinized Derrick, the heavy pressure almost suffocating.

After a moment of silence, Colin slowly rose, took out a token engraved with his name from a hidden compartment in his waist belt, and threw it to Lovia, who was observing quietly:

"I approve your application to borrow a Divine Sealed Artifact. Take it to the underground, and you will get the help you desire."

This was compensation for Lovia's departure, and also a necessary balance.

Receiving the token, Lovia's expression remained unchanged. She simply nodded lightly, her gaze sweeping over the shadows in the corner, then she unhurriedly stood up and stopped beside Derrick:

"If the method in your heart is truly effective, I can help you advance to Sequence 4 'Black Knight' for free afterward."

"Although it's somewhat dangerous, it's ultimately a neighboring Pathway, so there won't be too many problems. If successful, I will nominate you as a reserve Elder of the 'Six-Member Council'."

As the slightly hoarse and cold voice echoed, Lovia ignored the silent Derrick and walked straight out of the room.

Chief Colin Iliad watched silently until Lovia left the Round Tower. He looked at Derrick, who had let out a breath and relaxed, and after a few seconds, he said:

"Now, you can tell me about your so-called method..."

Half an hour later, Derrick left the Round Tower, while Colin Iliad stood alone by the window, gazing at the City of Silver shrouded in darkness and lightning.

The streaks of light piercing the darkness were reflected deep in his eyes. Colin slowly turned around, looked towards the dark corner, and asked in a deep voice:

"Do you think my choice is correct?"

In the corner, a shadow stood up, casting a dark projection onto the wall, twisting and swaying.

Its voice carried the sensation of metal being scraped, quite grating:

"The one behind Derrick previously brought mushrooms to the City of Silver as a substitute for Black-Faced Grass. If it can bring back the former chief and the future of the City of Silver, 'Gift of the Land' is not unexchangeable."

"As for the one behind Lovia..."

After a brief pause, the constantly swaying black shadow continued:

"Opening the former chief's mausoleum is a very good observation opportunity, and before that, you need to quickly advance to 'Silver Knight'. Only then can you truly control 'Proof of Glory', and at least have the confidence to face the King of Angels who is about to arrive."

Colin was silent for a few seconds, then slowly nodded, repeating Derrick's last sentence in a low voice:

"The Fool who does not belong to this era..."

-----------------

In the Forsaken Land of the Gods, near the northern ruins of North City, in the uninhabited deep dark wilderness, Audrey and Cavendish walked out from the dim yellow light.

Overlooking the lifeless city, Cavendish proactively introduced:

"This place was once a city-state similar to Moon City and the City of Silver, but it was later occupied by the Demonic Wolf Kotar and turned into his puppet city."

"After he was severely injured and fled, disappearing without a trace, this place was completely abandoned, but it is the closest city-state to the City of Silver that I have explored. If we go any deeper, we will approach the Giant King's Court."

Audrey looked around with interest, and just as she was about to say something, her vision was enveloped by a crimson light.

As Mr. Fool's majestic and deep voice echoed, a coordinate transmitted through a mystical ritual appeared:

"The chief of the City of Silver has agreed to your proposal. On the premise of not infringing upon each other's interests, you can reach a cooperation under the joint witness of me and the Lord of Order!"

The crimson light receded, Audrey blinked in surprise, and immediately repeated it to Cavendish beside her, while also transmitting the coordinates.

Not surprised by this result, Cavendish, who received a definite reply, did not immediately teleport, but instead made a few grasping motions in front of him, and on only the second try, he pulled out Aaron Weil, dressed in luxurious formal wear.

This was Aaron when he had not yet assimilated the Uniqueness, an image from the Historical Void.

His slightly dull pupils instantly became lively, and his body solidified quite a bit. Aaron looked at Cavendish and snapped his fingers with a smile.

Although it was only a projection, under the blessings of the Nation of Disorder and his own Beyonder characteristic, he could still exploit some authorities unique to the King of Angels level.

An invisible ripple swept past, and order was quietly distorted. Cavendish immediately felt the original heavy spiritual burden disappear. As long as Aaron didn't act casually, this historical projection could be maintained for a long time.

Casually relieving Cavendish's burden, Aaron tilted his head and looked at the surprised Audrey, explaining with a smile:

"Just a small trick. Although Amon's true body is not in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, the one the Aurora Order believes in has never left. The weight of one King of Angels is far from enough."

"Since I promised Mr. Fool to ensure the safety of the City of Silver, I naturally have to make sure that some things won't affect innocent bystanders."

Audrey's smile faded, and her expression became solemn. The three figures then disappeared in the firelight.

-----------------

In the City of Silver, in the center of the quiet, dark training ground, seven figures were silhouetted under the dim yellow firelight.

Leading them was Colin Iliad, covered entirely in silver armor, and this newly advanced Silver Knight was holding an ancient-style crown in his right hand, as if it were condensed from the morning light.

It was precisely "Proof of Glory," one of the only two Divine Sealed Artifacts in the City of Silver!

Even though it was still in a sealed state and had not been awakened, the other Elders of the "Six-Member Council" still felt the heavy pressure.

As the only one who was not a member of the "Six-Member Council" but was specially requested by chief Colin to attend, "Sun" Derrick felt a gaze constantly lingering on him.

Knowing that it came from Lovia, who had successfully advanced to a Demigod, Derrick tensed his body, enduring the discomfort brought by the strong pressure, and moved a few steps closer to the chief, while guessing when Miss Justice would arrive.

Derrick, whose thoughts were slightly scattered, noticed that the chief's right hand, holding the Divine Sealed Artifact, suddenly clenched tightly. His heart immediately skipped a beat, and he subconsciously looked forward.

Strong spiritual fluctuations spread with the firelight. The pressure, far exceeding that of "Proof of Glory," caused the spiritual intuition of all members of the "Six-Member Council," including chief Colin, to frantically warn them. This was an instinctive reaction to facing a complete mythical creature.

"Proof of Glory" instinctively emitted points of morning light, shielding that pressure, and also allowed Derrick, the lowest Sequence among the seven, to regain control of his body.

Looking at the graceful figure walking out of the flames, Derrick stepped forward, breaking the silent and dangerous silence, and proactively acted as a bridge for communication:

"Good afternoon, Miss Justice!"

As a Sequence 3 Spectator, Audrey immediately saw the concerns in the hearts of Derrick and the people behind him. She smiled to ease the atmosphere, and the expressionless Cavendish then appropriately withdrew his somewhat deliberate pressure.
