Luis set out the bowls and chopsticks, then opened all the takeout containers and disposed of the bags in one smooth motion.
"Forget the beer, I don't want to get up in the middle of the night. And wow, so many good dishes!!!"
Elara chuckled. She then ordered, "Go wash two glasses. There's an ice tray in the middle of the freezer. Get some ice, you're having a proper drink with me tonight."
Luis went to the kitchen. They were the standard stemmed glasses. Following her instructions, he put some ice in them and came back.
Elara smiled and added, "There's an open bottle of Rémy Martin in my liquor cabinet. Go grab it!!!"
Luis played the attentive servant, bringing it over and pouring it without needing to be told. He was nothing if not thorough.
Elara was clearly pleased. She giggled, "It feels so good to boss around a little brother. They say a brother is a sister's natural servant, now I finally get to experience it."
