Kiss of the Vampire " Void"
Mission 5 : Chaos in Ruins
The ground trembled again—hard enough that everyone felt it, even in the middle of trading blows that could level mountains. A low hum rolled out from the floating castle, like the heartbeat of something enormous waking up above them. The sky dimmed, colors draining as if someone was sucking the life out of the world.
But no one had time to look up.
Not when every Sin user pushed back harder than before.
Deyviel vs. Lancer — Wrath Unleashed
Lancer came at Deyviel like a falling star, molten cracks spreading along his armor as Wrath boiled under his skin. His sword blazed with volcanic heat; every swing turned the air into boiling steam.
Deyviel raised Yamato just in time—
CLANG!
The impact blasted both of them backward, carving trenches under their feet.
"Still standing?" Lancer snarled, rushing him again.
Deyviel spat blood, wiped his mouth, and smirked. "You're the one panting, grandpa."
He vanished—dragon aura collapsing inward—then reappeared right beside Lancer, slamming his scaled arm into Wrath's ribs. The hit threw Lancer across the battlefield, crashing him into an ice pillar that exploded into frost.
But Lancer wasn't done. Wrath erupted from his body in a shockwave so violent it cracked the sky overhead.
He lunged—
Deyviel blocked—
The ground under them melted into lava.
Their clash was turning the battlefield into a furnace.
Rolien vs. Envy — Spiral of Claws and Steel
Envy came at Rolien in a blur, claws erupting from every limb, each strike sharper and more chaotic than the last. Rolien's Hollowveilforge arm heated up with violet sparks, absorbing the kinetic force of each blow.
"Stop dodging!" Envy screeched, claws flashing green.
Rolien ducked under one swipe and drove his fist upward into Envy's jaw, sending him spinning through the air like a broken toy.
"I thought you were supposed to copy strength," Rolien said, rolling his shoulders. "But all you copied is attitude."
Envy hit the snow and came up ripping huge chunks of ice into dagger-like shards. He hurled them all at once.
Rolien inhaled. Violet energy swirled down his prosthetic arm—
Punch Line Mode: Arclight Burst.
His fist landed. A purple shockwave erupted outward, vaporizing every ice shard and slamming Envy so hard the ground cratered beneath him.
Kieth vs. Pride — Rider vs. Demonic Majesty
Pride swung his divine spear with a king's arrogance, each strike carrying a shockwave that warbled the air. Kieth grinned inside his helmet, shifting Rider forms like changing breathing patterns.
Blade King Form—Royal Flash.
Kabuto Clock Up.
Faiz Axel.
Kiva Emperor.
Each switch blurred the battlefield in bright trails of color.
Pride thrust forward. Kieth vanished and reappeared behind him—Axel Form—delivering a dozen strikes in half a second.
Pride staggered. "Childish tricks."
Kieth slid to a stop, sword on his shoulder. "Childish? Dude, you're fighting a guy named after an ID picture card."
He charged again. Their clash split the ground open like a cracked mirror.
Maya & Josh vs Lust — Blood and Betrayal
Catherine's chains writhed, glowing red-hot as she forced them into a cyclone of slicing arcs. Maya and Josh moved like twin storms—Josh's heavy swings blowing holes into the cyclone while Maya danced through openings, her blade carving red sparks off each chain.
"Stop running!" Catherine screamed, her voice cracking with fury. "I raised you—loved you—!"
"You killed the only people who ever loved us," Maya said coldly.
Her blade flashed.
Catherine's chain-arm shattered, blood spraying. The queen stumbled, holding the stump, hatred twisting her face.
Josh grabbed her by the collar and slammed her into the ground so hard the snow burst into a crater.
Mizuno, Kliev & Emily vs Gluttony — Breaking the Colossus
Aldibaran slammed his halberd down, creating a vertical rift that swallowed snow and bone. Emily rolled clear, firing arrow after arrow, each one marked with a magic circle.
Mizuno leapt onto him again, stabbing freezing mana into his collarbone. Kliev took advantage of the opening, slicing through the halberd's shaft, sparks raining like fireworks.
Gluttony roared in frustration.
Emily nocked one last arrow. Three circles spun around it, condensing unstable mana.
Kliev and Mizuno dove aside.
Mana Burst Arrow—Triple Core Detonation!
The arrow hit Aldibaran's chest—
The explosion tore a hole clean through him, light bursting out his back.
The giant dropped to one knee.
Ethan, Alicia & Cymac vs Greed — Blood vs Blood
Baltazar moved like a tornado of claws and crimson light. Ethan clashed with him head-on, fists blazing with holy fire.
"Your father died begging," Baltazar taunted.
Ethan roared and slammed his burning fist into Baltazar's jaw, snapping his head back. Cyma dodged behind and carved a glowing arc down the vampire's spine. Alicia followed with a rune shot to the throat.
Baltazar stumbled, coughing smoke.
"You think this hurts?" he hissed.
Ethan stepped forward, flames coating his entire body.
"No," he said, voice steady. "This is just the beginning."
Ben Rayleigh vs Sloth — Cutting Through Gravity
Ben dashed sideways—only for gravity to drag him diagonally mid-stride. He twisted, flipping through the distortion, blade grazing Sloth's cheek.
Sloth didn't flinch.
"You fight too fast," Sloth murmured. "It's annoying."
"Good," Ben said, vanishing again.
Flash Step: Ghost Reaver.
Four silent slashes opened across Sloth's chest before the Sin even reacted.
But then Sloth lifted a hand.
Gravity crushed the ground around Ben, creating a pit of warped space. Ben landed on the edge, boots cracking the bending earth.
"You're troublesome," Sloth sighed. "Just lie down."
Ben tightened his grip. "Not today."
Their clash wasn't loud—just precise, sharp, and lethal.
The Shift Begins
A massive pulse of darkness dropped from the floating castle.
Every fighter—ally and Sin alike—felt it like ice under their skin.
The storm thickened overhead, thunder cracking against the belly of the floating castle like war drums. Every heartbeat felt louder than the last. Every breath came with the taste of iron and frost.
And then—everything blew open at once.
Deyviel vs. Wrath—The Breaking Point
Lancer slammed his palm into the ground, molten cracks racing across the ice. The earth heaved upward like a living creature. Lava burst from the fractures, shaping into serrated spears that shot toward Deyviel.
Deyviel cut through the first wave like they were nothing, Yamato glowing with dragon light. But Lancer was already there—charging through his own flames, armor half-melted, grin feral.
"You still think you can kill me!?" Lancer roared, swinging downward.
Their blades collided.
The shockwave blasted a crater beneath them, flattening undead, Sin Zombies, and even stray Sin constructs. Deyviel's boots skidded back across shattered ice, his dragon aura sparking violently.
"Thinking?" Deyviel growled. "I don't need to think to kick your ass!"
He slammed his dragon arm into Lancer's jaw. The hit shook the entire battlefield. Lancer staggered, blood spraying—but he recovered instantly, eyes glowing pure red.
Wrath awakened fully.
The ground collapsed under them.
Rolien vs. Envy—Hollowveilforge Unleashed
Envy lunged with a snarl, body twitching and splitting into multiple afterimages. Rolien tracked each one like he was reading a pattern in the snow. When Envy struck from behind—Rolien didn't dodge.
He caught the claw.
His prosthetic arm gleamed, the lines burning bright violet. Energy coiled around his elbow like a compressed storm.
Rolien smirked. "Thought you were sneaky?"
He twisted Envy's arm, yanked him overhead, and slammed him into the ice, sending a ripple of violet shockwaves across the field. Envy screeched, body distorting into something more monstrous, more wicked—spines bursting through his back.
But Rolien didn't flinch.
He stepped forward, arm humming like a living furnace. "Let's see who cracks first."
They collided—violence exploding like fireworks.
Kieth vs. Pride—Masked Rider Overdrive
Kieth slipped into Masked Rider Build Genius Form, energy gears flashing around him in a spinning ring. Pride shot forward with a long spear of condensed arrogance, every strike meant to kill in one blow.
Kieth parried each with razor precision. Sparks danced across the air.
"You rely too much on your toys!" Pride shouted, thrusting his spear downward.
Kieth flipped over him, letting out a quick laugh. "Bro, don't disrespect my Riders!"
He combined Build's Genius Form with Decade's multishift—pulling attacks from multiple Riders in bursts. Fists. Kicks. Energy blades. All hitting from different angles.
Even Pride faltered under the barrage.
"This isn't skill," Pride hissed, stepping back. "It's cheating."
"Yeah," Kieth said, planting his foot. "But it works."
He launched a point-blank Rider Kick that sent Pride flipping through the air, crashing through two frozen pillars.
Maya & Josh vs. Lust—Chains of the Fallen Queen
Catherine's chains erupted from her back like fanged serpents. Josh sliced through three. Maya severed two more—but the queen was relentless.
"Bow to me!" Catherine screamed, her voice ripping through the battlefield.
"Not anymore," Maya said. Her voice didn't shake this time. For the first time in years, she wasn't afraid.
She dashed in, blades clashing with Catherine's claws. Josh backed her, stepping in whenever an angle opened. Their attacks overlapped like practiced dance steps.
In one combined strike—they tackled Lust off her balance.
Catherine hit the ground hard, wings cracking beneath her.
Maya walked forward slowly, sword dripping crimson. Catherine crawled back, eyes trembling.
"Maya…" she whispered. "You still—hate me?"
Maya's breath hitched.
Josh watched her carefully.
The storm froze for a moment.
Then Maya tightened her grip. "I don't have room for hate anymore."
One clean slash.
Catherine screamed as the ground swallowed her into darkness.
Mizuno, Kliev, & Emily vs. Gluttony—Beastbreaker
Gluttony inhaled deeply—his body expanding grotesquely.
"He's gonna swallow the whole damn field!" Emily yelled.
Mizuno sprinted along the ruins of fallen pillars, building momentum. Kliev leapt over her, spinning midair.
Emily fired three mana arrows.
Mizuno kicked one, Kliev sliced the next, Emily guided the last with her magic.
All three arrows slammed into Gluttony's mouth—forcing his jaw shut.
Emily shouted, "NOW!"
Kliev and Mizuno struck simultaneously—a twin slash that tore his jaw clean apart.
Gluttony fell, gurgling black blood into the snow.
Ethan, Alicia, & Cymac vs. Greed—Burning Judgment
Baltazar unleashed a tidal wave of gold-tinted energy. Ethan countered with blazing white fire that scorched the sky. Alicia hardened the ground to keep them anchored. Cymac redirected the overflow with shield constructs.
Ethan pushed forward step by step, fire cracking the ice under him.
Baltazar laughed, drunk on his own power. "Come then, nephew! Let's see if your fire can burn greed!"
Ethan shouted, "I'm not here to burn greed—"
He threw everything he had into a punch.
"—I'm here to end you!"
The explosion lit the world in white light.
Ben Rayleigh vs. Sloth—The Quietest Duel
Ben moved in silence. Sloth barely breathed.
Sloth raised a hand. Gravity bent around it.
Ben vanished again. His blade dragged a thin line across Sloth's chest.
The Sin blinked. "You cut me…"
Ben didn't answer. He stepped in. Another strike. Another. Each cut perfect. Each shallow.
Sloth staggered.
"What are you…?" he whispered.
Ben finally spoke, voice calm.
"I'm the guy who finishes jobs."
He sheathed his blade.
Sloth's body split in a perfect diagonal line.
THE CENTER OF THE STORM
All across the battlefield, every Sin was pushed back, wounded, or overwhelmed.
But the floating castle… shifted.
Its walls rippled like a living creature.
The gates began to crack open from the inside.
A voice slid through the air, cold enough to freeze the world:
"The Apostles of the Void have heard your noise… and grown bored."
Rolien froze mid-strike.
Kieth turned toward the castle.
Deyviel's eyes narrowed.
The gates split fully.
A figure stepped out—
Tall.
Outlined by violet flames.
Helm shaped like a screaming face.
Aura like a collapsing star.
An Apostle.
The Voidborn General.
Every Sin Series user—even Lancer—fell silent.
Deyviel whispered, "…Oh shit."
Kieth swallowed hard. "Partner… we might need more than Power Rangers."
Rolien cracked his knuckles, breathing out frost. "Nah. We just need to hit harder."
Snow lifted off the ground as the Apostle raised its hand.
Reality bent.
And the second phase of the war began.
The air shook as Pride slammed Rolien through a stone pillar. Dust burst around him. His back throbbed, but he pushed himself off the rubble and spat to the side. Pride walked out of the haze with that smug, bored smile—like he was swatting a child who didn't know his place.
Ben dropped beside Rolien a heartbeat later, blocking a claw swipe with a bare forearm wrapped in glowing silver sigils. The impact rattled the ground.
"You're using ki, right?" Ben asked without looking back.
Rolien panted, gripping his cracked sword. "Yeah… I think."
"You're not. You're leaking it everywhere." Ben swept Pride's arm aside with his elbow and hammered a straight punch into Pride's ribs, forcing the demon back three steps. "You're holding your breath too much. Your core is loose. And you keep forcing your body instead of letting the flow guide the strike."
Rolien blinked, confused and annoyed. "Dude, you're teaching me right now?"
"You want to die looking stupid," Ben said, "or learn something?"
Pride roared and lunged. Ben grabbed Rolien by the collar and shoved him forward.
"Feel this," he said.
Pride's fist came down on Rolien like a falling guillotine. Rolien raised his blade to block out of reflex—but Ben's voice cut through the thunder.
"Stop thinking strength. Think direction. Ki doesn't push. It pulls the world in the direction you choose."
The moment Pride's blow descended, Rolien inhaled sharply. His chest tightened. For the first time, he felt a single line of warmth run from his spine down to his arm.
He angled the blade. Not to stop the hit.
To redirect it.
Pride's fist smashed down—but slid past Rolien's shoulder, carving into the ground instead. The shockwave split the street, leaving Rolien untouched.
His eyes widened. The sensation was clear—like water finding a channel.
Ben grinned. "There you go. Do it again."
Pride hissed and whipped his tail forward. Rolien ducked under it, feeling the warm line of ki slide into his legs this time. He shifted—light, precise—and appeared at Pride's flank.
Ben moved with him, trading blows with Pride's upper arms while Rolien handled the lower ones. They were clumsy at first—two different styles clashing—but soon their rhythm synced: Rolien's reactive redirection and Ben's brutal precision feeding off each other.
"You've got the basics," Ben said. "Now breathe into your core. Don't grip the world—sense it."
Rolien closed his eyes for a split second.
Something inside him clicked.
A rush. A surge. As if the world tilted toward him.
His system rang:
[Congratulations. You have awakened your Ki/Spirit Energy.]
[New Ability Acquired: Dimensional Manipulation (Proto).]
The street around him sharpened. Pride stepped forward—and Rolien saw faint lines in the air. Thin scars across space itself.
Instinct pulled his arm into motion.
He slashed through one of those lines.
A soundless cut rippled out.
Pride froze. A thin red line stretched across his chest… then split open. The demon staggered back, eyes wide with something he'd never shown before.
Fear.
Ben whistled. "Not bad. A baby version of that Vergil move. Use it again."
Rolien tightened his grip. Ki flowed smoother now—quiet, hot, alive. He slid forward and cut another line. Three arcs of invisible force snapped through Pride from different directions. Pride stumbled, screaming, wings flaring wildly as he tried to escape the gashes that seemed to appear from nowhere.
Rolien exhaled and stepped through the air as if the world itself was a set of doors waiting for him to open.
"This… feels right," he said.
"Good," Ben replied. "Now finish him. We've got bigger problems."
Deyviel felt the hair on his arms spike. The lightning was coming in too fast.
He looked at Lancer—who grinned like a demon who just got gifted a new toy.
"Don't you dare," Deyviel snapped.
Lancer leaped anyway.
"WRATH—CELESTIAL DECIMATION!"
His corrupted aura flared crimson-black.
He threw a punch upward—meeting the descending lightning head-on.
The explosion was so violent it split the storm apart.
Deyviel shielded his eyes from the shockwave.
Lancer turned back to him, face half-burned, armor shattered, smile wider than ever.
"FOCUS ON ME!" he roared.
Deyviel groaned. "Bro, we have a bigger problem—"
Lancer vanished with a sonic boom and punched Deyviel through a floating tower.
Kieth vs. Pride — Rider Limit Break
Pride rose from the rubble, wiping blood off his lips, spear re-forming in his hand.
Kieth tightened his grip.
"Alright, you got stronger. Good for you. But—"
He twisted the Build Driver.
"GENIUS LIMIT BREAK!"
Energy gears spun around him like rings of a miniature sun.
Decade's card flashed across his visor.
Kieth vaulted forward, using the lightning crater as a launchpad.
Pride thrust.
Kieth stepped sideways in a blur, leaving six afterimages—each one delivering a Rider punch from a different Showa or Heisei era form.
Pride choked on his own breath.
"You—bastard—"
Kieth pulled back his leg.
All his Rider energies compressed into his boot.
"RIDER—OVERDRIVE—KICK!"
He stomped Pride into the ground so hard the ice split into a cross-shaped fissure.
Josh & Maya vs. Lust — Requiem of the Fallen Queen
Catherine's scream echoed from the darkness below.
Chains burst upward like a blooming metal flower—trying to drag Maya down with her.
Maya froze for a heartbeat when she recognized a familiar voice tangled in the chains' echoes… her mother's scream… her father's dying breath…
Her grip trembled.
Josh stepped in front of her, blocking the chains with his blade.
"Not now. Stay with me."
His voice grounded her.
Maya inhaled, steadying herself.
She looked down at the abyss where Catherine had sunk.
"She isn't my past anymore."
She raised her sword.
Together, Maya and Josh swung—sending a wave of combined sword aura that cleaved through every chain.
Catherine's body dropped deeper into the shadows as her domain shattered.
Lust was gone.
But Maya didn't celebrate.
Her eyes were wet—but sharp.
"I'm fine," she muttered.
Josh smiled faintly. "Good. Because the real fight just arrived."
Mizuno, Kliev, Emily — Gluttony's End
Gluttony's corpse hit the ground like a collapsing hill.
The trio stood back-to-back as the Apostle's pressure washed over them like gravity reversed.
Emily whispered, "What… what is that?"
Kliev's jaw clenched. His instincts screamed that he should run.
Mizuno held her sword tight. "Doesn't matter. We fight anyway."
Ethan, Alicia, Cymac vs. Greed — The Last Stand
Baltazar wiped blood off his mouth, smirking even as half his armor had melted away.
"You think I'm done?" he growled at Ethan.
Then he felt it.
The Apostle.
Baltazar actually took a step back.
Ethan's flames flared white-hot. "Good. Even you're scared."
Baltazar didn't deny it.
Because this was no Sin.
This was something worse.
Meanwhile while their still fighting
The Voidborn General lifted its hand.
A faint pulse spread through the battlefield.
Every Sin stopped.
Every undead stilled.
Even Lancer, mid-lunge at Deyviel, froze in hesitation.
The Apostle tilted its head.
Then its voice seeped through space:
"Among all of you… a single thread shines brightest."
Its helm turned toward—
Rolien.
Rolien looked up, violet energy crackling around his prosthetic arm.
"Uh… why is it looking at me?"
Ben murmured under his breath.
"…Because you awakened something you shouldn't have."
Deyviel crashed back into the scene after punching Lancer through a floating wall. He wiped blood off his chin and stared at the Apostle.
"Oh come on," he muttered. "Can't I have ONE fight where the universe doesn't spawn a boss mid-swing?"
Kieth landed beside them in Genius Form. "Partner. That thing's aura feels like DOOM Eternal's soundtrack."
Rolien, breathing frost, tightened his fist. "Doesn't matter."
He stepped forward.
The Apostle raised one hand to greet him.
Reality bent inward.
Space folded like origami.
Everyone felt their knees buckle.
And the battlefield shifted into a new domain—
A violet void with no sky, no ground, only drifting shards of frozen time.
THE APOSTLE WHISPERED:
"Welcome, Key of Dimensional Fracture."
Rolien froze.
"…Wait. Key of what?"
Ben cursed quietly.
Deyviel's eyes widened.
Kieth swallowed.
The Apostle lifted its blade—shaped like a vertical tear in reality itself.
"Let us see if your existence is worth preserving."
And then it attacked.
To be continue
