Just as Eiser got out of Therdeo's room he began to question himself of how would he bring up their next adventure to them considering the dire states Ana and Sandy were ccurrently in.
He kept on thinking about it, scratching his head. In no time he reached their ward.
He hesitated abit at entering yet then he abruptly opened the door. Everyone diverted their attention to Eiser as he entered.
"Uhhmmm.... I just came to get Arkas"
He said as he walked with uncoordinated movements towards the third bed and forced him to come along with him.
"What is it?"
Arkas whuspered to Eiser upon being dragged.
"Just Shut up and come"
He said as he dragged Arkas out of the room and shut the door loudly.
He then opened the door again,
"We will being some snacks for you guys!"
He said, awkwardly, just before banging the door close again.
"Close it quietly!"
"Oh.. are you saying that? You break every door you are allowed to open!"
Their voices of a silent argument could be heard from even inside the room. As everyone inside the room with exaspered faces, had the same thought running in their minds.
"Will those two be alright, together alone?"
Eiser and Arkas, rivals and aware of each other's strengths as they were, competed against each other even in the slightest of windows. Constantly bringing up opportunities to prove themselves to be better than the other.
As the both, stagnated from different shops around in the market. Finally they found themselves agreeing with each other, as they found themselves infront of big plaza that had both the scrumptious foods with tantalizing aroma that made Arkas's mouth flood with water, and glamorous clothes that piqued the eyes of Eiser.
Both of them hurried inside in different sections ofcourse. With Eiser dying to try out more fashionable clothes and Arkas with a drooled face, not moving an inch from the food stalls.
Suddenly both of them heard an uproar.
"HEY!! STOP RIGHT THERE!!!"
As both of them came out of the plaza, one completely filled with food in his mouth and hands, and the other with the most luxurious of clothes he could find there, they saw some policemen running after an old man covered in a white robe with hood ran faster then all and even destroyed some stalls for distractions.
Eiser and Arkas, glared at that man, grasped the situation. And with a tiny glance towards eachother, they came out of the crowd, left their precious items behind and went after that man.
Eiser quickly joined in with the Policemen since he had a reputation amoung them and Arkas flanked from the right.
Both Eiser and Arkas had thought that the old man was a thief or a pocket picker. Yet they were surprised of that man's precision and speed.
Right when Arkas thought he couldn't catch up to him, he quickly created a fire spiral and threw it at that man. The man looked at his right, tho he dodged that attack, yet he was surprised. He stopped for a brief moment, looked behind and looked strangely baffled.
Everyone rallied around him. The policemen, raised their shotguns at him. Eiser amd Arkas were also geared up.
"Hey! What have you stolen? You perv old man!"
Arkas shouted.
"DONT MOVE!! CLEAR THE AREA!!"
A Seargent who was with the policemen, gave out orders.
"Huh?? Why can't you just capture him? Who is he anyway?"
Arkas inquired.
"Don't tell me you don't know him! He is one of the Fifth Columnists Yokoshu The Parasyte. His gang infiltrated the government and orcastraited the Great World War 18 years ago. It is even said that they did out of fun, no commitment to either side at all!!"
Everyone started to murmur as the Seargent declared that, the people started to run away and a panic gripped the crowded market.
"Is he actually one of the Fifth Columnists??"
"Don't tell me, that Fifth Columnists!!"
"You traitors!!"
"Kill them already!!"
The chatter continued, yet stramgely enoigh the only two dubfounded were Arkas and Eiser. For they didn't know anything about the Columnists.
Even though he was cornered, Yokoshu took off his hood, grinning with a goading look im his eyes. As Eiser and Arkas laid their eyes on his face, deeply scarred with blades; His goggles and his white beard.
"So you are Arkas, huh? He said as looked at Arkas."Then you must be Eiser!" He added as he shifted towards Eiser.
Both Arkas and Eiser knew, that they couldn't take this man on even if they fought till their last breath. That was the aura that Yokoshu carried.
He took off his robe and gently put it down.
"So you people are the ones who took the "Mighty Drew" down? Aren't you?"
The murmur of the crowd started to shift as they heard him talk. For the people were convinced that Einer was the one who drove Drew away from the city.
"What is he talking about?"
"Wasn't it Commander Einer who did that?"
"He must be out of his mind!"
"He is a Colmunist, why believe him?"
"But why would he lie about it like that? Its not like it concerns him!"
"So what if we did?"
Eiser replied.
"Hohoho... So it is you guys! I almost believed what these people told me about Einer driving him away."
Yokoshu said.
Yet as he did the some did people start to believe in him.
"Wait... Did they actually beat that calamity of a man!!"
"So what about Commander Einer then?"
"Yeah.. Its true!! I did happen to see that Blue Eyed guy fighting Drew Last week."
"So is it all true then??"
"Are they our saviors??"
Suddenly the playful look in Yokoshu's eyes vanished. He snapoed and all the Policemen, including the Seargent was covered in Earth. In a matter of seconds, the situation got out of their hands. The entirety of the Police squad, that had thought have the situation under control, were reduced to Earthly Statues in a mere span of a few seconds.
It happened all so quickly that Eiser and Arkas couldn't even grasp what had happened. The Crowd panicked even further and started to run here and there. In the midst of all that, Yokoshu set his eyes on a little girl who was grabbing her toy that had dropped from all the pushing and frenzy of the people.
He quickly tried to approach her. Yet simce she was closer to Eiser. Yokoshu wasn't able to as Eiser barely managed to block his hand. Yokoshu glared in Eiser's sharp eyes, laughing devilishly. Yet with all those sparkles already lit around Eiser, he electorcuted him. Yokoshu, changed his approach. Hardened his other hand, trying to land a hit. Yet just in time, Eiser managed to grab that kid and back off.
"EVERY ONE RUN!! CLEAR THIS STREET!!" Eiser shouted as the bursting sparkles around him grew intense.
Arkas then smashed his palm down on the ground and suddenly enraging cyclones of fire, that burst opened the Earth circled the four of them.
"Ohh.... Impressive... Impressive indeed. You guys have Evolutions!"
Yokoshu said.
"But what i can do is far more impressive!"
He added as he snapped his fingers and a giant hand emerged from the ground behind Arkas and Eiser, that tried to capture the girl again. Arkas magmafied his arms and with a blazing fury punched a hole into giant hand.
Back in the hospital ward, Chloria's anger was growing intensely as she was waiting for them to arrive. She walked back and forth with her arms crossed waiting in absolute frustration and agony. As Ana and Lolopechika knew better to not console her and quietly wait for there arrival.
Meanwhile Eiser, who has his eyes locked on his target, streched out his hand.
"Divine Punishment"
He emphatically said, created a lightning bolt in his hand and charged at Yokoshu.
The rumble in Eiser's eyes and the will to protect that little girl reinforced his attack as he threw that lightning bolt directly at Yokoshu. A disgusted face, Eiser saw, that made him doubt his attack abit. Yet that doubt was instantly turned into reality, as he saw his attack fail twice now, infront of his eyes. For Yokoshu created a glass blade and cut that bolt into tiny pieces.
This instantly reminded Eiser of the memory when Einer dismantled his Bolt. It infuriated him and unsettled him. So he put his hands up in the sky and suddenly the weather started to change. Thunder started to rumble in the sky and dark clouds started to appear.
"Woah.. Now that is unsettling.. Alright kid, time for me to buzz off!"
Yokoshu said as the ground lifted him up.
Eiser gathered more energy as Yokoshu started to escape.
"Eiser, Stop!"
Arkas shouted. Eiser looked at Arkas and brought his hands down.
Both of them glared at Yokoshu as he escaped.
"See you soon kids!!"
He said as he bowed down and flew away on his block of earth.
As he left, Arkas snapped un did the flame cyclones and immediately the Seargent and the Police Squad came rushing.
"How did you guys get free?"
Arkas Inquired.
"Uhh... I don't know! The rocks just broke all of a sudden. Maybe it was one his tricks again. I've told you before haven't I? These guys don't have a reason or purpose for their attacks. They just do whatever they want to."
The Seargent said.
Then suddenly Eiser felt like his robe was being stretched by some one from the back. He looked back and saw the little girl with bacl hair tightly bound together by a pony hair. Eiser sat down looked into her endearing eyes and hugged her.
"Are you alright?"
He gently asked and all of a sudden the anger in his eyes had vanished.
Then from the crowd, her mother rushed forward and tightly hugged and kissed her daughter.
"Thank goodness!! Oh my dearest Ruby! Thank Goodnes!!"
Her jaw quivered as she embraced her daughter.
"Mama... This Uncle save me from that bad Uncle!! He tried to grab but he saved me and protected me and even got angry at him."
The little girl, Ruby said as she pointed towards Eiser.
Then the mother stood straight up and bowed down.
"Thank you so much mister!! You saved my daughter!!"
Tears covered her face as she spoke.
"Oh no.... Please do not cry its alright. Its perfectly fine!"
Eiser replied, completely flustered by the sudden appraise he was being showered with.
"Rubyy... you thank Mister too!!"
The mother said as Ruby quickly ran and hugged Eiser.
"Thankyou so much Mister!!
Ruby said, cheerfully.
Eiser chuckled as he heard that. He pat his head as she hugged him.
"Is it true that you beat the Bad Uncle of the Diocese aswell?"
The moment she asked that question, all the panic and the chatter of the standing audience went quiet. That uproar had been brought to a rest by the simple nature of humans. The nature that guides humans, that fulfills them. That deafening silence, was purely creared by humans' obsession with meaning and curiosity. For all and every single one of them was curious for it. Was the doubt instilled inside them by Yokoshu's words real or just a feint.
The moment she asked that question, the environment went still, no emotion just curious. For only one man from inside that curious crowd had emotion, the man that had just escaped from Eiser and Arkas's clutches. Yokoshu, who was listening all of that unfold from inside of nearby dark alley. Yokoshu grinned, lit up a cigarette as Ruby asked that question.
And the answer to that question out rest to everyone's nerves.
"Yes, but only I, this gentlemen right here, my other friends and even these good Policemen helped me take them down."
Eiser genlty replied and put rest to everyone's nerves.
"Is that true?"
Her voice was deep and her brows were raised, as Ruby's mother asked that.
"Yes. But don't think much of it!"
Eiser replied.
The mother hugged Eiser tightly as tears started to cover her face. All the other people started to gather aroud them aswell and started to appreciate Arkas aswell.
"Thank you!!"
"Thank you so much!! Because of you my son has returned!!"
"My dear goodness, I am so grateful to you!"
"Beacuse of you our chuldren returned home!!"
The people were delighted upon meeting their hero. So they praised both him and Arkas. They were so over the moon that they lifted Eiser and Arkas up on thier shoulders and started to carry them like their new leaders.
"EISER!! EISER!! ARKAS!! EISER!! EISER!! ARKAS!! EISER!! EISER!!"
They chanted and carried them as some sort of a victory lap.
The uproar created by people's chanting was so loud that it spread across the city. Even the boiling Chloria was angry for waiting opemed the window to see what happened.
Yet as she opened the window, her boiling rage settled down. Her eyes teared up and her face brightened up. Lolopechika and even Ana got up from her bed to see the uproar. All of them saw, Eiser and Arkas laughing above on top of people's shoulders and finally getting the recognition and rewards they deserve.
"Hmmm... What's going on??"
As soon they heared the voice, all three of them brought their heads inside the room and saw Sandy opening his eyes after a full five day sleep.
