In other words, he had spent a long time repeatedly striking targets in this area.
Kaiyin had left halfway through, and Obi-Wan had taken Eopie for a stroll, leaving him alone in the shadow of the rocks, sweating profusely.
Fortunately, the lightsaber wasn't very heavy, so he could practice for a while without his arms getting too sore.
He had already gained some proficiency in the first form of the lightsaber technique, which he could use in combat. However, he still had a long way to go before he could master it.
The transitions between moves, his understanding of the techniques, and adapting them to his own habits were all areas that needed improvement.
However, achieving all of this would take time.
After walking for a few minutes, he arrived at the Traveler. Amir took a shower and changed his clothes.
When he came out, he saw a TIE fighter jet flying in from the distance.
Kaiyin had gone to retrieve it.
Earlier, he said that he had dismantled the Imperial tracking device on the ship in a remote location and severed its connection to the Empire. Then, he hid the ship around Mos Eisley. He had gone to retrieve it that afternoon.
Since it was hidden deep in the Tatooine wilderness, there was no risk of the Jawas dismantling it.
The TIE fighter slowly landed, and Kaiyin stepped out.
"I went back to Mos Eisley again. That group of bounty hunters we worked with last time found me again," he said.
"Planning another job?" Amir tossed a piece of fruit to him.
"Why not?" Kaiyin took a bite. "We get to see the Outer Rim from a different angle and make some money."
"So, what's the job?"
"Their leader had his ship stolen, and they need to get it back. I happen to have a ship that can transport them."
"How many people can your recon ship hold?" Amir asked.
Even though the Traveler was a small cargo vessel, it was much larger than the TIE fighter next to it.
"We can squeeze in five or six people," Kaiyin said, scratching his head. "If you let me use your ship..."
"Forget it!" Amir cut him off.
Fly his own ship into battle? What if it got destroyed? That ship was his home!
"This guy is interesting. He's wearing Mandalorian armor but claims he's not a Mandalorian," Kaiyin said.
Amir suddenly turned his head. Could it be...?
"What's his name?"
"Boba Fett. He's very powerful."
Sure enough, it was Boba Fett, who would one day become a legendary bounty hunter.
He was also a legend in the galaxy. His father, Jango Fett, had been the genetic template for all clone troopers during the Clone Wars. He had made one special request from the Republic: in addition to his bounty, he wanted an unaltered clone to raise as a son.
That was Boba Fett.
Unlike the other clones, who grew up rapidly and were trained solely for war, Boba aged normally and was indistinguishable from a regular human.
Under his father's training, he developed impressive skills from a young age. With years of bounty hunting experience, his strength was unquestionable.
"I brought some food. Let's go back to the house and try my cooking," said Amir.
After dinner, everyone looked satisfied as they sat in their chairs and chatted casually.
"It has a unique flavor. I've eaten food from many planets, but nothing like this," Obi-Wan remarked.
"Of course, I made all the seasonings myself," Amir said with a grin.
"I saw Imperial Inquisitors again in Mos Eisley," Obi-Wan added. "They're getting more desperate. I think they'll act soon."
"Imperial Inquisitors?" Kaiyin said. "I've also seen agents in black armor recently. Are they the same?"
"Yes, their mission is to hunt down the remaining Jedi Knights," Amir confirmed.
Kaiyin looked at Obi-Wan.
"They've actually already been here once, but I hid well," Obi-Wan thought. "If they fail again, they probably won't bother me anymore."
"After all, I've hidden in such a remote place."
"I admire you for being able to live in this environment for so many years," Kaiyin said, now clearly impressed.
"These are the most basic skills of a Jedi Knight. Without possessions or luxuries, one can remain true to their core."
"I imagine it must be very difficult for Amir to do that," Kaiyin teased.
Amir smiled. It was difficult, and most Jedi struggled to achieve it.
This was what made Obi-Wan so admirable.
He had always adhered to the Jedi Code and followed the orders of the Jedi Council, even when faced with the cruelty of war, the death of loved ones before his eyes, and the fall of his apprentice, Anakin, to the dark side. Obi-Wan had been the one to confront him—and nearly kill him.
Any of those events would have broken a lesser man, and driven even the most devout Jedi into the darkness. But Obi-Wan had not succumbed.
He remained the most loyal follower of the light side of the Force.
He possessed unimaginable willpower and wisdom.
"Oh, that's not the most important thing. What's important is not to become obsessed."
"Human nature is hard to eradicate, but you must understand—desire is an external force. The Force is your ultimate destination."
Amir nodded. "I understand, Master."
Kaiyin had already begun to fidget. He stopped fiddling with his pants and asked, "Can I learn this too?"
"Hahahaha!" Amir burst out laughing.
Obi-Wan laughed as well.
"Of course. The Force is here; it doesn't belong to anyone."
At that moment, Amir's communicator rang.
He pressed the answer button, and a holographic projection of Jax appeared.
"Amir! Can you contact Lango? He's disappeared again—along with that Wookiee!" Jax shouted anxiously, with BD-4 crowding around him and beeping nonstop.
"What? Disappeared again?" Amir bit his lip hard.
Lango had volunteered to go with the Wookiee to investigate the slave trade at the port. It should have been a simple, discreet mission.
Amir had a bad feeling.
He told Jax to hang up, then opened another interface on his wrist guard. Instantly, a holographic star map appeared in the small room.
"Turn off the lights, Kaiyin." The light was making the projection hard to see.
As the room dimmed, the star map lit up.
It was a rough layout showing general directions and sectors, with no specific planets—except for Coruscant, which could be expanded.
Several red dots blinked on the star map.
Those were the tracking devices Amir had installed on a few key people.
