"We did encounter danger," said Amir. He also wanted to ask the rebels if they knew anything about the Empire's latest move.
As they walked toward the space station, Amir recounted what had happened to them.
"We haven't received any similar intelligence," said Hak after thinking for a moment.
"Let's not worry about it for now. We'll find out more later."
At that moment, Gulina spoke up: "Amir, do you remember my first prediction about your future?"
"The one when you fainted?" Amir recalled their first encounter on the streets of Coruscant.
"Yes, I just saw that scene again, and it was even clearer this time. I felt a strong sense of being watched, as if someone was watching us from the darkness."
"It's not just you. I felt something similar myself."
Amir suddenly became alert. What was this feeling of being watched?
"Can you describe it in more detail?" Amir asked.
"It's like..." Gulina replied in her unique, hoarse voice, "It's like a theater. Have you ever been to a theater?"
"I think so." Amir had seen performances in Coruscant before, but they had all been strictly censored by the Empire and were boring.
"It's like hiding in the darkness behind the curtain and watching every move on stage." After a moment of thought, she continued, "We are the actors on stage, and it feels like he can see through everything, which makes me very uncomfortable."
Amir thought for a moment and said, "Don't communicate with the Force anymore."
"Okay," Gulina agreed, although she was confused. "I also have a feeling that if I continue to communicate with the Forest God, something bad will happen."
"What is it you need help with?" Amir remembered that Hak had said he needed his help with something.
"Right here," Hak said, pointing to the interior of the space station. "We've reached a dead end in treating the children. We need medical equipment. This used to be a medical station."
"Can't you acquire the equipment? The equipment here is usable, but it's from many years ago." Amir asked, confused.
"We've bought everything we could through official channels and the black market. However, the Empire's controls are too strict, and we're still missing some essential equipment."
"Is there any here?" Amir expressed his doubts about this abandoned place.
"Gulina suggested it, so there's a high chance it's here."
"I only suggested coming here to look around. I didn't ask the goddess," Gulina said helplessly.
Hak completely ignored the little witch's words. "However, due to long-term abandonment, many space creatures have taken up residence here, and they're quite troublesome. We had to exert a great deal of effort to restart the power system, but it's difficult to venture further inside."
"What kind of creatures?" Amir had seen many types of space creatures in the database but had never encountered any in real life and suddenly felt curious.
"Most of them are iron-eating rats. They secrete a corrosive liquid that dissolves minerals and alloys, which they consume for survival. Many abandoned space stations have these creatures, but there are an unusually large number here."
"These little creatures are tough, and you have to be careful not to get bitten by them," Gulina added.
"I just hope that any instruments we might need haven't already been eaten by them," said Hak worriedly.
This concern was justified. Compared to the specially designed, corrosion-resistant alloy framework of the space station, the instruments, which contained a more diverse range of materials, were undoubtedly more appealing to the creatures.
"Let's go," Amir said, pulling his lightsaber out from inside his robe.
"All right, I've sealed the entrance to prevent them from getting back into the control room."
The three of them entered the control room, which still had significant energy reserves. They wondered what had caused it to be abandoned.
Hak pressed the button on a door.
The door swung open. Gulina took three flashlights from the side and handed one to Amir.
They flipped the switches, and the white light illuminated the corridor ahead.
"Many of the wires have been chewed through. Most of the interior is black," Hak said.
Amir thought of many classic scenes and refused to agree to any foolish suggestions to split up, even if it meant moving more slowly. "Let's stay together."
"Okay!" Gulina said nervously, moving closer to Amir.
She was clearly afraid.
"Let's check the circuit breaker inside first," Hak suggested.
"Okay," Amir replied, then released the spider robot.
"Have you heard of space ghosts?" Hak asked suddenly as they walked.
Gulina, standing beside him, shivered at the mention of them.
"Space ghosts?" Amir thought to himself. He had indeed heard of them before from Jax, who was writing the Chronicles of the Lower Levels of Coruscant.
However, these creatures might not be entirely fictional. He knew of similar spirits, such as Jedi spirits.
Obi-Wan's master, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, had mastered this knowledge. After his death, he transformed into a Jedi Spirit and used the Force to pass his knowledge on to Master Yoda.
Obi-Wan had mentioned this to Amir during a casual conversation.
After the Clone Wars, Master Yoda shared this knowledge with Obi-Wan.
The idea was to return to the Force, abandon the physical body, and gain an immortal spirit to explore the knowledge of the Force endlessly through time.
Later, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Luke, and Anakin all became Jedi spirits, but that was long after.
Obi-Wan hasn't fully mastered it yet.
"What do you think, Amir? Do space ghosts really exist?" Seeing that Amir was distracted, Hak asked again.
"Oh, they probably do. After all, the universe is so big that anything strange could exist," Amir replied casually.
"..."
Hak fell silent and leaned closer to Amir.
"So you're afraid too! Then why did you bring it up?!"
Amir looked at the two people cautiously, examining their surroundings.
"The only trouble we'll encounter is that it's too dark to go down, right? That shouldn't be the case." Rust Rats are definitely tough to deal with, Amir thought.
As they continued forward, they gradually heard faint noises around them.
At that moment, the spider robot had finished exploring the terrain.
"The structure below doesn't seem to have suffered too much damage, but we can't guarantee the safety of the items inside," Amir said.
"Here is the circuit breaker. People might have turned it off when they evacuated." Hak pointed to a location on the holographic map.
"Ah!" Gulina screamed.
Amir and Hak hurriedly moved the light sticks in their hands over.
A black shadow darted across the ground.
"That's it!" Hak shouted excitedly.
