Chapter 158 - Chapter 160: Dinner at the Moisture Farm

The escape was safe. Only a few ships blockaded the upper atmosphere. Most of the Pykes were still on foot, surrounding every exit of the base, waiting.

They were destined to wait for no one. The Traveler had already flown out of the atmosphere and would soon be able to enter hyperspace.

"The Pykes really went all-in this time. Hehe, to think they only have this many ships left."

Amir agreed. "The base's defenses were also light. It seems they didn't take you that seriously."

"..." Seneal thought of the hundred soldiers in front of the vault and the ferocious first barrage. He fell silent. You call that 'not serious'? Without Amir, he could have brought a dozen men and still not made it out.

But this time, the result was truly satisfying. Seneal glanced at the anti-gravity pallet loaded with currency in the hall and was secretly speechless.

Who would have thought that three people and one ship could ransack one of the Pykes' main bases?

Even though they only took a fraction, it was the wealth of the entire Pyke syndicate. Even the smallest particle of it falling into a single person's hands was unimaginable wealth.

Next time I have a mission, I'll just call Amir. Compared to him, my own men are useless.

Amir sat in the co-pilot's seat, assisting 32 in piloting the ship. 32 had learned quickly, especially piloting.

He could also communicate normally, but he still didn't like to talk.

While flying the ship, Amir couldn't help but think about this haul.

He had to admit, his heart was pounding when he was moving those cases of money.

Even though he wasn't short on cash, you could never have too much.

He had to say, robbing other criminals was the fastest way to get rich. Years of hard work couldn't compare to one trip to a Pyke vault.

With these funds, Amir could try some of his bolder ideas.

. . .

They took a detour to the AX-30 space station, dropped Seneal off, and the Traveler set off for Tatooine.

The operation hadn't taken long. By the time they returned, it was only the afternoon.

Amir had contacted Obi-Wan en route. They were still at Luke's farm. Kaiyin was still unreachable.

So, Amir flew the Traveler directly to the moisture farm he had visited once before.

Soon, the ship landed in the clearing. As he and 32 disembarked, Amir saw Milisen and Luke in the distance, commanding the Smart Combat Packs.

Those are weapons. If they misfire, it won't be fun. Amir decided he needed to reinforce Milisen's safety education.

When the Traveler landed, Owen turned his head. Obi-Wan was at his side, helping him adjust a moisture vaporator. On dry Tatooine, this was a vital source of water.

The sky in the distance was turning yellow. The scene was surprisingly harmonious and warm.

"Amir!" Luke saw Amir and ran over happily. "I've already read all the data you gave me last time!"

The little blond boy looked up, as if waiting for praise.

Amir patted his head in approval, noticing Luke couldn't stop glancing at the parked Traveler.

"Want to try it?" Amir asked.

Luke hesitated, looking at his Uncle Owen. He had been studying the datapad constantly, and it had already made his uncle unhappy several times. Flying a ship... he wasn't sure.

At this moment, Owen's expression, as he looked at Amir, wasn't good. I let you stay, gave you food and drink, and now you're trying to poach my little Luke! If I had known you'd become Obi-Wan's apprentice, I would have chased you away that day.

Obi-Wan patted Owen's shoulder. "He can't stay here forever, Owen. The galaxy is vast and colorful. He'll go out to see it sooner or later."

Owen finally sighed. As stubborn as he was, he knew it was true. It was just...

"Agh." Owen waved his hand, signaling Luke to go ahead. At least for today, he wouldn't stop him.

Luke's eyes lit up, as if the whole world had brightened.

"Let's go." Amir led Luke onto the Traveler. Milisen followed closely.

The ship operations data Luke had studied used the Traveler as an example. Amir put him directly in the pilot's seat, sitting in the co-pilot's seat to remind him how to start it up.

Before long, the Traveler lifted off smoothly. The blue and white disc-shaped ship was like a giant bird in the desert, or a white cloud chasing the setting sun, flying toward the horizon.

Amir was surprised at how quickly Luke got the hang of it. This was his first time flying, and he could already fly like this. It was incredible. He was just as good as Amir was at his age.

Force perception was a great help in learning. Amir's own strong learning ability was inseparable from the Force, especially with mechanics. He understood the structure and operation of machines on a deep level. The Force gave him an extraordinary insight.

When flying a ship, it was like an extension of his own body. Accidents rarely happened.

Amir could already sense the strong Force in Luke. He just didn't know how to use it yet. But even so, he was already benefiting from it.

The ship took a lap around Tatooine, staying at a safe altitude, avoiding the dangerous mountain regions. The flight was smooth, but it was enough to make Luke's blood boil. Happy times always pass quickly. The Traveler returned to the farm.

Luke was completely satisfied.

"That was the best experience ever!" Luke said happily.

Milisen watched from the side, wondering if she was a bit stupid. She had been studying for so long and still couldn't remember which button was which.

But the moment she heard Aunt Beru call that it was time for dinner, she forgot everything.

Beru insisted the group stay. Owen didn't object, but he still sat in the corner with a sour face.

Amir brought out his stocked ingredients from the ship, his treasured seasonings, and finally, a large pot, which he set up in Owen's kitchen.

The group gathered around the table, with all kinds of ingredients laid out.

Many were exotic foods Amir had bought in Mos Eisley, all quite expensive. They were all new to Luke and his family.

"What are we eating?" Beru had prepared some fruit for them, a rare commodity on Tatooine.

"Hot pot! Hot pot!" Milisen excitedly introduced it.

"Hot pot?" Luke asked, puzzled. He'd never heard the name.

"Like this! When the water starts to bubble, you put the food in! After a little while, you take it out, dip it in some sauce, and you can eat it!" Milisen had fallen in love with hot pot after Amir made it once.

The hot pot base was made by Amir himself from various spices collected in Mos Eisley. It tasted great.

Obi-Wan, at the side, had already rolled up his sleeves.

Beru listened to Milisen's explanation and tried it. A moment later, she pulled out a thin slice of dragon-camel meat, tasted it, and pursed her lips in enjoyment. Then she passed a piece to Owen.

Owen, with drooping eyelids, reluctantly accepted the meat from Beru and put it in his mouth. His eyes went wide in disbelief.

"It's good, right? Amir invented it!" Milisen said proudly.

"Mhm!" Luke was also eating nonstop. Owen and Beru both nodded.

In the corner, 32 and BD-4 just stared at each other, speechless.
