Someone sidled up to Chen Xinyue's workstation and whispered, "Secretary Chen, you haven't met the CEO yet! It's your first day at work; shouldn't you go say hello?"
Chen Xinyue shook her head honestly, "The CEO hasn't called for me, so why should I go looking for trouble?"
The other person was left speechless and awkwardly nodded, "You're right."
Just as the words were spoken, Li Dehua came in, "Secretary Chen, the CEO wants to see you."
Everyone simultaneously looked up, gossip fire burning in their eyes.
Chen Xinyue nodded and followed Li Dehua into the CEO's office.
Tang Ming and another assistant stood like guards beside Xiao Jinlin. The setup left Chen Xinyue a bit bewildered, so much so that her first notice upon entering wasn't Xiao Jinlin but the strangely expressed assistants.
